Cloud platform has streamlined real-time analytics but still needs clearer pricing and onboarding

    Reviewed on Jun 07, 2026
Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

DoubleCloud provides us with a cloud platform for real-time analytics, data infrastructure, and scalable backend systems. DoubleCloud offers good exposure to modern tech stacks and collaborative workflow culture. The projects are interesting and challenging, which help in professional growth. It provides a strong engineering environment with exposure to modern cloud technologies and scalable systems. It helps us manage data pipelines, analytics platforms, and cloud-native applications efficiently with reduced operational overhead.

One specific example of how I have used DoubleCloud recently is building a real-time analytics platform for our existing platform, HireIQ. We used it for collecting candidate information. After collecting that information, we used it to check customer activity data. We process it in real time and generate insights such as which region has the highest candidate concentration, what candidate behavior toward our CTAs is like, how they are clicking buttons, and which jobs are trending.

Another main use case for DoubleCloud includes how it quickly helps us set up the environment and manage scalable data infrastructure compared to handling everything manually. This platform simplifies many of our operations tasks, which allows developers to focus on building more features and analytics rather than spending time on infrastructure maintenance.

    What is most valuable?

DoubleCloud offers several valuable features. The best features include low maintenance of infrastructure, allowing us to use it directly without creating the entire infrastructure from scratch. Additionally, real-time analytical capabilities and easy scalability are standout features. I also appreciate how it simplifies the deployment and maintenance of the data pipeline and backend services, which saves us considerable time and operational effort. The platform is developer-friendly and helps us focus on more product development rather than infrastructure.

The real-time analytical capabilities of DoubleCloud stand out because they allow data to be processed and monitored almost instantly. Getting insights immediately is always better than receiving them later. In day-to-day work, this is helpful for tracking candidate activities, application performance, and system behavior without any delays. Instead of waiting for scheduled reports, insights are available in near-real time, which helps us make faster technical and business decisions.

The developer experience is greatly improved because previously, developers had to set up the entire infrastructure before they could start working on it. With DoubleCloud, the implementation effort on those tasks is significantly reduced. I would also emphasize the scalability, as this platform makes it much easier to scale services and data workloads without worrying too much about infrastructure management. The setup and integration feel very smooth, which helps our team move faster and focus on building rather than handling operational overhead.

    What needs improvement?

There are a few things that can be improved. DoubleCloud is a good platform for a company that has grown substantially. However, for a small startup that does not need detailed features, as the company starts to grow, the minute details that are present should be handled carefully because those things are very important. DoubleCloud should provide that capability.

Pricing can be improved for smaller startups. This is acceptable when startups have funds, but as they grow, pricing is somewhat higher in this segment. Documentation is not comprehensive and is difficult to understand. Onboarding new users and getting them to work with the product is challenging because they need to learn it thoroughly. It would be beneficial to have more transparent pricing examples for scaling workloads, so the team can estimate costs more easily as usage grows. Additionally, faster access to detailed support resources or community-driven examples could further improve the overall developer experience.

Onboarding to DoubleCloud was challenging initially. The developers needed to study extensively and understand how it could be implemented into our application so they could work with it effectively. That was difficult at the start. However, after the transition was complete, it became easier because senior developers with knowledge provided knowledge transfer to junior developers. The initial phase was difficult, but after that, it was smooth.

The initial part was challenging because there were some advanced configurations and a steep learning curve at first. However, especially with modern backend tools and cloud-based services, it overall worked well with our existing data workflows and infrastructure, which made the setup process somewhat easier initially. There was a learning curve, but the overall experience was manageable. Once it was set up, it became easy.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working here for the past three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

    DoubleCloud is very stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Scaling DoubleCloud as our needs grew was efficient and much simpler compared to managing and scaling manually.

Regarding scalability, it is very good and is the most impressive aspect of DoubleCloud. This platform makes it relatively easy to handle growing workloads without needing major infrastructure changes or manual effort. As the data volume and usage increased, the system scaled smoothly while maintaining performance and reliability, which helped reduce operational complexity for the team.

How are customer service and support?

Customer support is great. We have not needed it yet, which is a good sign.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We were not using a different solution initially, but we considered different solutions when determining how to implement our data infrastructure. We mainly relied on manually managed cloud data, managing the cloud and data infrastructure using individual cloud services and custom configurations. While that approach worked, it required more operational effort for deployment, monitoring, and scaling. We started using DoubleCloud because it simplifies infrastructure management and provides a more streamlined approach.

Before using DoubleCloud, we were manually setting up everything, which had some issues because we had to handle everything manually, including setting up configurations. We initially used AWS with custom infrastructure configuration, which was flexible but required more time for maintenance, scaling, and monitoring.

    How was the initial setup?

The setup cost was initially high. Pricing could be more transparent. It was high for our company when we were very small initially, but as we grew, it started to matter less. The initial setup process was straightforward and did not require any significant infrastructure investment from our side.

    What about the implementation team?

DoubleCloud has definitely impacted our organization positively. Previously, two or three developers were needed initially to set up the infrastructure. If there were changes, we would need to change the infrastructure, which takes considerable developer time and could be reduced by DoubleCloud. It reduces the time spent on operational tasks, allowing the team to focus on more development and analytics rather than infrastructure. The scalability and real-time processing capabilities also improve overall productivity and responsiveness in day-to-day work. Around 40 to 50 percent of developer efforts are reduced in the initial stage.

Previously, at the initial stage of any project or product, we needed to set up the infrastructure, which cost us two to three weeks of two to three developers' time. So if I multiply it: 8 hours a day, two to three persons, 8 times 3 equals 24, and two weeks times 24 equals 72. Thus, 72 total weeks were essentially wasted because that time could have been used for development. If there were changes, we would need to change the infrastructure accordingly, and that takes time, which can be reduced significantly.

    What was our ROI?

From an ROI perspective, DoubleCloud provided good value by reducing the time and efforts spent on infrastructure management and operational maintenance. This allowed the team to focus more on development, analytics, and delivering features faster, which improved overall productivity. A relevant experience was when we needed to scale analytics workload for increasing application usage. Instead of spending significant time managing servers and configurations manually, the platform handled the scaling efficiently, helping us maintain performance while reducing operational complexity. This saved both development time and infrastructure management efforts, which positively impacted overall efficiency and return on investment.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Pricing can be improved for smaller startups. This is acceptable when startups have funds, but as they grow, pricing is somewhat higher in this segment. Documentation is not comprehensive and is difficult to understand. Onboarding new users and getting them to work with the product is challenging because they need to learn it thoroughly. It would be beneficial to have more transparent pricing examples for scaling workloads, so the team can estimate costs more easily as usage grows. Additionally, faster access to detailed support resources or community-driven examples could further improve the overall developer experience.

What other advice do I have?

My advice to others is that if your product is going to be substantial in the near future and you want to set up a streamlined process and reduce manual labor, then DoubleCloud is excellent. It is a developer-friendly platform for managing data infrastructure and real-time analytics workflows. It is especially useful for organizations that want to reduce operational overheads and focus more on development and analytics instead of infrastructure management.

DoubleCloud is a very collaborative platform, and I did not see any conflict between any teams. I would rate this review at a 7 out of 10.
