Endpoint Central

  • November 18, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The inventory part of Endpoint Central is instrumental. It contains a ton of great information that makes it easy to manage and maintain the machines in our environment. The 3rd party patching of applications is especially useful. The remote control functionality that can be used to control devices remotely is used daily to help support everyone in the company regardless of where they are physically located.
What do you dislike about the product?
I work on the internal application team, and getting reports of devices using a specific application can be challenging. There are some reports, but the custom report creation process does not have many options when looking for a particular software.
The MDM management of Android tablets needs some work. If pushing an app using MDM, we would like the ability to allow users to remove/modify some of those apps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest reason for using Endpoint Central right now is OS and 3rd party patching. It is also used daily for the management and support of employee devices.

We would be lost without Manage Engine Endpoint Central

  • November 11, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Remote support capabilities are amazing, we can remote control with privilege escalation by the click of a button or use system tools to quietly support and implement fixes. Remote command prompt, registry, file manager and more allow us to make changes in silence.

Software deployment is great and allows us to send out new installations or upgrades to our entire estate via the Manage Engine agent.

Patch management is fantastic, we are often fully patched within a week of patch Tuesday do to the power of this tool. The patch management dashboard is very clear and allows you to see problem endpoints instantly. Pushing patches is almost always a breeze and managing users rebooting their machines is made possible. The automatic deployment, patch testing and auto approval features are very useful in speeding up the entire process of receiving patches, testing and applying across the estate.

The integration with Service Desk Plus is great. Across the two platforms we can view asset and user details with no interruption.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no real relationship with Manage Engine outside of renewals, they don't seem to assign a customer success or account manager as a single point of contact. It would be good to have a relationship with somebody at Manage Engine who can highlight new features to us or tell us what we may not be utilizing.

On the rare occasion we have to contact support, it can be quite tricky to get the required level of support quickly. We do get to a solution eventually but sometimes it can be a slightly slow process.

Manage Engine sometimes upgrade features or make changes to functionality without prior warning causing some elements to fail or change.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Manage Engine Desktop Central has become a critical system within our IT department. We use it for remote support, asset management, software deployment, rolling out fixes and most importantly patch management,

The system is brilliant in allowing powerful administration via the Manage Engine Endpoint Central agent. We would genuinely be lost without it.

We are currently looking to expand our use of the system by delving into the OS deployment feature which will further expand our love for this solution.

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to have deployment servers at remote offices, in order to conserve bandwidth.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some items in the user interface are not as intuitive as they could be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Desktop Central to manage all aspects of our Windows desktops and laptops both on campus, and at remote campuses. Our biggest hurdle was finding a software deployment solution that worked for our situation.

Modern network infrastructure management platform

  • November 08, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The software monitors network traffic on all the company computing devices from central location. Configuration with other devices is easy and setup process is pretty simple. ManageEngine Desktop Central provides statistics on network coverage and operating system performance from the organization ecosystem.
What do you dislike about the product?
The current features functionalities correspond efficiently to the set objectives. The direction we are taking with this software is good and I love the performance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Controlling our servers from one unified system is the best experience we have had with this tool. It automates most demanding tasks across the workflows to meet daily targets and increase production. Deployment of software to desktops from remote areas and within the chain is just a matter of one click.
