Efficient and centralized IT management with Endpoint Central

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about ManageEngine Endpoint Central is the way it centralizes the administration of all endpoints on a single platform. The tool facilitates patch management, software deployment, remote control, and security policies, making IT management more efficient, automated, and secure.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool is complete, I only have praise for it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ManageEngine Endpoint Central has been helping to solve problems related to decentralized endpoint management. Previously, it was difficult to keep all devices updated, secure, and standardized.

With Endpoint Central, we can automate tasks such as patch application, software deployment, remote control, and compliance monitoring, which has brought more agility, security, and a reduction in operational failures.

What do you like best about the product?
That's great! Automated Patch Management is often mentioned as a standout feature. Users appreciate how it automates the full patching process for operating systems like Windows, Mac, and Linux. They also value its capability to manage a wide range of third-party application patches from a single console. Additionally, the option to test and approve patches on a pilot group before rolling them out more broadly helps prevent potential problems.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the Application and Inventory Report Structure frustrating, particularly because it makes it challenging to obtain the precise, detailed data required for tasks such as software licensing and true-up reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ManageEngine Endpoint Central addresses the challenges of fragmented IT management and delays in resolving issues by bringing all endpoint operations together in one centralized platform.

What do you like best about the product?
I primarily use ManageEngine Endpoint Central for patch management. The tool allows us to automate the deployment of security updates across endpoints, ensuring systems remain compliant and protected against vulnerabilities. Its centralized dashboard provides visibility into patch status, missing updates and compliance reports, which helps in reducing the attack surface and meeting audit requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface could be more intuitive and streamlined. While Endpoint Central offers a wide range of features, navigating through menus and settings sometimes feels cumbersome, especially for new users. Certain functions, like customizing reports or fine-tuning patch deployment policies, require multiple steps and are not always easy to locate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ManageEngine Endpoint Central is generally intuitive and provides a centralized platform for patch management, endpoint monitoring and reporting. Its dashboards and automation features simplify routine tasks, though the initial setup and configuration can be complex for new users. But once configured, the tool is straight-forward to navigate and supports efficient security and IT operations.

Patch management tool and inventory management tool
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't clean up old patch files very well which occupy extra-large space, I want a history inventory record, even after device is deleted

What do you like best about the product?
ManageEngine Endpoint Central is an excellent platform for endpoint management. It offers a wide range of powerful features, including vulnerability scanning, patch management, and MDM, all of which work seamlessly. The solution makes it easy to deploy configurations, enforce policies, and keep systems secure and up to date.

Their support team is outstanding, always available within minutes and consistently resolving issues quickly with real expertise. Overall, Endpoint Central has greatly simplified managing my fleet and provides the peace of mind that everything is running smoothly. Highly recommended.
What do you dislike about the product?
There aren't many downsides other than the steep learning curve, but this is to be expected with a piece of software that offers so many features. Once you learn to use the platform effectively, it becomes a breeze to use every day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes managing our large fleet of devices easy, and provides a one-stop shop for many different tasks such as patch management, and MDM. It's nice to have a centralized place to manage all our devices.

Support is mediocre, Aging interface, cluttery, does not have enough automations

What do you dislike about the product?
Manage Engines products sometimes feel like they could be better integrated with each other. It would be nice, for example to jump to an unattended control from an Endpoint Central record (assuming that machine had both products, of course). o be fair though, this is something they are improving with each release/upgrade.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We work in an industry that is heavily reliant on compliance to standards like ISO 27001, ASD's Essential Eight and the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP). Endpoint Central helps us meet the requirements for Software Distribution, Patch Management and Operating System Management

Very easy to deploy software and updates

Sometimes error messages during deployments aren't very descriptive, making it hard to determine the cause of the error

Being able to deploy updates and software easily. This saves us a lot of time and effort
