In the project, we were generating a PDF based on the insurance, creating the contract form and agreements, and sending that PDF to the customer by merging all the information from Salesforce.

We installed all the packages of Conga Composer into Salesforce and integrated them to pull all the information from Salesforce to the PDF and then sent those PDFs to the customers.

Generating PDF documents from Salesforce and sending them to customers has been very handy to use using Conga Composer.

I like that Conga Composer allows for the generation of PDFs according to specific requirements by creating templates and pulling all the information added into those fields. The guidelines are already defined in Composer, and there are tool tips to help identify templates and strategy implementations.

I did not try multiple features; I just generated PDFs by merging fields and creating templates. If any improvement is needed, I would raise a case with Conga Composer for those features.

I have been using Conga Composer for about the past three years.

Scalability is very good because we have recommended it to more than five to ten clients. Customers ask for PDF generation or document automation, and we recommend Conga Composer because it is a good tool, easy to use, and generates PDFs well.

These features make the tool easy to use, even for new developers. It allows for good customization from both the declarative and programmatic perspectives.

There are some areas that need improvement. For example, when using the Conga Sign, there is only one checkbox option by default. Additionally, if there could be a preview option available directly in the application for testing templates instead of having to download and test them manually, it would save time.

I have been using Conga Composer for about three to six months for one of our clients on Salesforce. After using it for two to three months, I have not been in touch with it much since the project is now closed.

We never faced much buffering or any issues with the tool getting stuck. The problem usually lies with how we build or set up the concept on the Word side, not with Conga Composer itself. It is very dynamic and super fast.

I work for a Salesforce consulting composer, and I'm mostly a developer, sometimes an admin. Sometimes the clients require us to set up things in Conga, either Conga Composer, Conga Sign, or any other similar application. So most of the times, the request is just to update existing templates or create new templates for them to use on Conga.

There's nothing in particular. It's just what the client decides to use. I just use it. It's quite simple. Most of the clients do have it. It's better than having to go in and do it manually, creating a Visualforce page to use as a template, which is another thing that we do here. If the client only has one template to use, then we recommend that they go that route. However, if they do have many templates or they need to be changing them constantly, and it's more expensive for them to hire us to change them every time, then we usually recommend that they use something like Conga.

The documentation could be improved. The one time that I learned a bit more on how to use it was when I got into Conga University to get my certification. There are a lot of small steps that you don't see in the standard documentation or you cannot find it. A couple of years ago, they changed stuff from what I learned five years ago when I started, which is great. However, they need to update documentation to match that. Sometimes, you find the documentation for the old version, and you try to do it, and it just doesn't work.

I've used the solution for five years.

Most of the time, I haven't had an issue like that, not human-related. If I made a mistake of adding something that shouldn't be there, or sometimes you start with a template that somebody else made, and then you paste it and think, 'Okay. That's just going to work,' but it doesn't because it has a little bit of something that it doesn't like.

It's always better to start from scratch. Otherwise, I've never had a significant issue. Maybe once I got a weird error, and then I noticed that there was a crash on the servers from Conga, and that's probably the reason it failed.

I'm not sure if the solution is sclable. I don't see any issues in adding more templates as the company is growing. However, I've never done anything big with it. Everything is just like, 'Okay. We have these five templates, ten templates at most.'

I've reached out to support many times based on the documentation. I'm trying to follow it, and it doesn't match what I'm seeing, so I end up having to contact Conga directly for them to let me know that the issue was that I do not have the license that they need for that.

I would recommend this product to other people. If they need to have a lot of templates and need to make changes often, like every three months or less, then I would say they should go the route of using either Conga Composer or any other similar application.

I have a project where I generate a document and send it via client email when an opportunity arises in Salesforce. When the opportunity is won, an invoice is automatically sent to the recipient. I also use it to generate documents and send them for signatures using Conga eSign.

The most valuable feature is the automatic generation of invoices and the ability to merge fields from Salesforce into the document, creating a clean and professional invoice. After generating the document, it can be sent for a signature using Conga eSign, and the signed document is then updated in Salesforce with a completed status.

It would be better to have a custom button that automatically sends a document to the client's email and sends it for a signature with a single click.

I have been using Conga Composer for one and a half years.

I have had some issues with the stability of Conga Composer, mainly related to the configuration, such as assigning permission sets to the Composer user profile in Salesforce. There are more steps to follow, but I have shared all the related documentation.

Scalability-wise, this product is very helpful. It is easy to scale because many clients use it and DocuSign. It is a really helpful product.

I find the Conga email template creation and the document template creation features very useful. It is also valuable that the source of HTML is provided, which allows for the creation of custom documents.

For newcomers to the platform, the removal of certain suggestions in recent releases can be a pain area. Previously, we had default flags like SC0 and SC1 displayed on the customization page, which made it easier for beginners. Reintroducing these suggestions in future releases could improve the user experience.

I've been using Conga for a while.

There are no major breakdowns, and everything works fine. If there are issues with Conga queries, they get resolved quickly. The APIs and custom button PDF generation also work within the expected timeframes, making the solution reliable.

Conga is efficient at creating PDFs dynamically. Once you understand the logic, it becomes very comfortable to scale up or down.

I’ve worked on two projects with Conga Composer. In one, I automated a company’s quoting process to quickly generate customized quotes for clients, replacing a manual system and reducing human errors. In another, I integrated Conga Composer with DocuSign to automatically generate documents and send them for customer signatures. While I haven’t used Conga Composer for contract management, I’ve used it extensively for quoting processes.

I like Conga Composer because it's simple and flexible. I can manage complex formatting and queries easily and integrate it with other tools like DocuSign for the signing process. I’ve used it in Salesforce by installing the Conga Composer package, creating Conga solutions, queries, templates, and using different parameters. Integration with DocuSign allows me to send documents for signatures with just one click, which has greatly improved workflows. By automating processes, such as generating quotes, it has reduced human errors significantly. I also find the ability to generate documents in various formats like PowerPoint, Excel, and Word very useful. However, I haven't worked with its AI capabilities yet.

One downside of Conga Composer is that it requires integration with other tools for the signing process. Apart from that, I find nothing major to be improved.

I haven’t needed to escalate any questions to tech support for Conga Composer. Before using Conga Composer, I worked with DocuSign and CPQ.

Regarding pricing, I believe it’s around fifty dollars, but I’m not entirely sure. Overall, I find the pricing reasonable and am quite satisfied with the product. The value we get from it justifies the cost, as it requires minimal maintenance and is straightforward to use. The functionality it provides aligns well with the investment.

I use Conga Composer to generate invoice and code templates. It's useful for creating templates on Salesforce object records, but I haven't used it for contract management.

What I like about Conga Composer is that it's much easier than Salesforce's native templating. It's simple to add merge fields, write queries to pull data and access up to four levels of related objects. This makes it very comfortable to get all the needed data into templates.

We can use Word templates with Word boxes and customize everything. Its conditions are very easy to write and hide content based on requirements. When used with DocuSign, Conga Composer can calculate currency fields that DocuSign can't.

We can default to PDF and hide content to reduce errors. We can generate invoices by clicking a button and hiding tables, which we can't do in DocuSign. We can download and attach documents to notes and attachments or any field we require.

The solution with Salesforce allows us to generate templates with a single click after some configuration steps.

The only improvement I'd like to see is the ability to hide a single column within a grouped table, which I couldn't figure out how to do.
