Phenom Applied AI: Deeper Candidate Insights and More Personalized Recruitment Marketing

  • March 16, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Phenom’s Applied AI has added significant value to our Recruitment Marketing strategy by helping us better understand candidate behavior and engagement patterns. The platform surfaces insights that allow us to personalize outreach, refine our messaging, and connect candidates with opportunities that align with their interests.

From a marketing standpoint, this capability allows us to move beyond traditional campaigns and create more responsive, data-informed engagement strategies. Applied AI helps ensure that the right content and opportunities reach the right audience at the right time, while also reducing manual effort for the team.

Overall, it has strengthened our ability to engage talent in a more meaningful and scalable way.
What do you dislike about the product?
Phenom’s AI is powerful, but there are opportunities for greater flexibility in tailoring outputs for specific recruitment marketing use cases, such as campaign segmentation, messaging variations, or audience targeting. More controls here could allow marketing teams to further align AI-driven insights with their strategic goals.

The AI-generated messaging and recommendations are helpful starting points, but they often benefit from human editing to align with employer brand voice and tone. Continued evolution in this area could further streamline content creation for recruitment marketing teams.

The platform offers a wide range of AI capabilities, but fully leveraging them can require a deeper understanding of the ecosystem and workflows. Additional guidance, examples, or best-practice playbooks could help teams unlock the full potential of the AI features more quickly.

Despite these opportunities for refinement, Phenom’s Applied AI remains a strong tool for organizations looking to bring data-driven intelligence into recruitment marketing and candidate engagement strategies.

Its ability to connect candidate behavior, job recommendations, and engagement insights helps teams move toward more personalized and scalable talent marketing experiences.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the areas where we see significant opportunity with Phenom’s Applied AI is in the evolution of our recruitment marketing campaigns. As we continue to adopt more of these capabilities, we expect the technology to help enable a more proactive and targeted approach to candidate engagement.

Applied AI provides insights into candidate interests, behaviors, and engagement patterns, which allows us to better identify and segment audiences for outreach. This will allow our team to move beyond broad messaging and instead develop more targeted campaigns aligned to specific talent pools, job families, and areas of hiring demand.

Another key benefit is the ability to empower recruiters and sourcers to engage talent more frequently and confidently through campaigns. By surfacing relevant candidate segments and recommended opportunities, Applied AI helps reduce the manual effort required to identify audiences and build outreach lists. This creates more opportunities for recruiters and sourcers to activate campaigns as part of their regular sourcing strategy rather than relying solely on one-to-one outreach.

From a recruitment marketing standpoint, this approach supports a shift toward consistent, data-informed talent engagement. Campaigns can be deployed more strategically to nurture talent communities, highlight relevant opportunities, and keep potential candidates connected to the organization over time.

As adoption grows, we anticipate Applied AI will play an important role in helping scale these efforts while maintaining the personalization and relevance that candidates expect.

Makes Our TA Jobs Easier

  • March 13, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It makes our jobs in Talent Acquisition easier! We can focus less on the administrative tasks and more on the candidate, new hire, and manager experiences.
What do you dislike about the product?
The training is not that great. Often, we have to teach ourselves how to use the system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Recruiters spend too much time looking at resumes of unqualified candidates. Automation helps to put candidates into categories, puts the highly qualified ones directly on their calendars for phone screens, and declines those who don't qualify. This is all done before they even need to look at one resume!

It's currently allowing recruiters to become more efficient in their work, allow me to capture data, easily enter support tickets when needed and interact with other clients using the tool too.

Program Leader, Talent Acquisition

  • March 13, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Phenom has helped our team tremendously with getting time back in their day. Automated scheduling has given our recruiters so much time where they would have been able to get hours back into their day to focus in other areas vs tracking candidates down. The system is very easy to use and learn and operates seamlessly with our HRIS system.
What do you dislike about the product?
Managing changes through tickets has been a bit of a challenge, but our Phenom team has continued to come with ideas and workaround to make it easier!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Phenom has allowed our team to focus on recruiting and removed more administrative tasks from their day to day operations.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Phenom Applied AI makes our jobs easier while still allowing for human intervention. I also appreciate the continued innovation and use of agents.
What do you dislike about the product?
The agents are great but the voice and video agents still need some work for pure human interaction. It sounds like a robot lol. The initial setup was more difficult than expected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Phenom Applied AI to broaden our labor footprint and reduce administrative tasks, making our jobs easier while still allowing for human intervention.

AI-Powered Talent Experience in One Powerful Platform

  • March 13, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's focus on transforming the entire talent experience through AI. The ability to bring together candidate experience, recruiter productivity, and employee development on a single platform is incredibly powerful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because Phenom is pushing the boundaries of AI in the HR technology space, one challenge that stands out is the pace of change and adoption across organizations. Many companies are still in earlier stages of digital transformation, so implementing advanced AI solutions can sometimes require significant change management and education for HR team
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving several of the biggest challenges in talent acquisition today, particularly around sourcing efficiency, candidate engagement, and the fragmentation of recruiting technology. Many TA teams still rely on multiple disconnected tools and manual processes to identify, engage, and track candidates, which can slow down hiring and make it difficult to create a consistent candidate experience.
