Sage Intacct is easy to use.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the cloud-based software concept to be able to access Sage Intacct using any secure internet connection. The software is easy to use and for the most part intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the cash application feature in Intacct. It is not easy to use and I end up doing over cash application that I can't finish. Said differently it would be beneficial for the cash application module to allow a user to open another window to make transactions in order to complete the cash application process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are utilizing departments and subaccounts in order to better align our financial reporting to the structure of our business. Having detailed departmental financials to support the consolidated financials has given our business leaders additional insight to the business in order to make operational changes accordingly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider exploring options to best utilize Sage Intacct instead of limiting use to the basic functions.
Very intuitive and easy to learn
What do you like best about the product?
Sage Intacct is very easy to use and I was able to navigate through the different modules very quickly. The software is able to do anything we need and as we learn more we are able to automate more processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do wish that it was easier to select a transaction and drill down to the GL detail.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to automate some of the data entry has helped reduce processing time and allows for faster month end's.

What do you dislike about the product?
I have problems utilizing the multi company features. It often makes our AP Ledger out of balance as well as puts balances into different clearing accounts which we have to clear out manually every month. You need to have more reference guides and support in this area.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving how to make month end processing as streamlined as possible as well as completing daily general ledger reconciliation. We can upload journal entries quickly as well as see multiple reports and data in a variety of different formats. We have found a very intelligent accounting solution which meets our needs.

Be sure to utilize all the different personalization features. Spend time using the Support Community and taking courses on how to use the different features in Sage Intaact as well as utilizing the helpful reference sheets that are available.
Easy to use and Powerful ERP for my company
What do you like best about the product?
Intacct is very intuitive and easy to use with very little training curve.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fixed asset module could use an overhaul as it looks like it was added in to the software at some point in time. Doesn't seem as integrated as the other modules.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been able to write new reports to provide more financial insight in our business. I am still learning the new custom report writer which I hope will add even more benefits.

Be sure to review all the partner companies and options they can provide in addition to Intacct itself.
Probably a good system if set up correctly with better training
What do you like best about the product?
Web based, good basic accounting tracking and reporting capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not user friendly and regular updates and changes sometimes alter how the system and tracking was originally set to function. Reports are not easy to create and define as there are too many field options to choose from. Dimensions are a great idea, but again not user friendly and too difficult to use in many reports - there's always some box we didn't know about in another area that needed to be included. Reporting options seem like they should work great, but take way to long to have to create and figure out. Also, some options for tracking data would be great, but often require additional modules which then becomes too expensive for mid-sized businesses. Overall, it seems like Intaact would be better suited for larger companies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We haven't been able to solve many of the problems we have - either too expensive to add additional modules, or we don't have the time to spend trying to figure out how to create specialized reports (or, we do spend the time and find out the report won't work because we're missing a feature). Training is also difficult for new features that come out. I've tried the webinars before and found that my key questions are ignored. Also, I understand that there are weekly e-mail forums, but honestly no one has time to sit and read through everyone's comments and questions - most of which don't apply to our industry. This system works great as a basic accounting system, but we are not realizing some of the special benefits that it seems like we should be receiving.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get proper setup and training from the beginning for your company. And watch out for automatic updates which can sometimes throw off your workflow.
Intacct is a very User-friendly tool.

I like how it is very User-friendly, my company is able to better streamline our accounting processes because of it and how I can manage Projects/Vendors/Charts of Accounts, as well as Bills all in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tech team and how long it takes to resolve issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It speeds up the way we pay bills, make payments, enter Vendors and pull reports.

Excellent Product and great value for the money spent on it. Truly saves you time and your Employees time and allows you to spend time on other things that needs to get done when you have the right systems in place. I highly recommend Intacct to everyone that does Accounting, it is better than any other Accounting tool that I have previously used before and there are a ton out there and this one outshines them all.

not quite like Oracle...there is a lot of developing that needs to continue to happen

Reports are easy to be created. To be honest, this ERP has a lot of developing left to complete

The purchasing and Payable modules need further development. You have to rely on other third parties to automate a lot of processes. Compared to Oracle cloud, Sage has a lot of work....

The information is readily available and the reports are easy to use

We should not need to use other third parties. The ERP should be more user friendly. As a hospitality company, it is IMPOSSIBLE to use the purchasing module. Everything is extremely manual
Best for small business
What do you like best about the product?
We are able to connect our international business units with the implementation of Sage Intact
What do you dislike about the product?
that we need to pay for multiple user licenses, just so both the business unit team and USA team can see the exact same thing. it'd be nice to just have to pay for a viewer's license
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we are able to quickly see (in real time) all data happening in our business units, that are on a different platform than USA. We are able to quickly close the month with this product
