The best thing about CipherTrust is that it provides end to end data protection from discovering sensitive data to encrypting and controlling access all through a single centralized platform

One area for improvement is that the platforms extensive feature set Can require a learning curve for new users, but this often balanced by its powerful capabilities and centralized management

Thales cipher trust helps secure sensitive data accross on premises and cloud environments through centralized encryption and key management, giving me better visibility, stronger and simplifies compliance

Complexity, Cost, Integration, learning Curve.
Before making any decisions one must consider the needs of organisations carefully due this drawback that i think are important to be considered before investing

Data Protection being on premises, cloud and hybrid, Compliance, Cloud Security, Data Governance.
It helps organisation to protect data and meet compliance requirements and manage data governance effectively.

Visibility of the sensitive data
Filling gaps for the PII data which wasn't classified
Discovery was important phase for us to know what data resides and where.
Capabilities like vaultless tokenization and masking helps us to maintain security of data when encryption isn't feasible and helps us to comply with various standards for data at rest.

Many enhancement is feasible in centralized data management.
Reporting can also be enhanced.

Tokenization is also very important piece.

When it comes to data security, thales has a very wide spectrum. It provides you with end-to-end data security.

kb solutions are a bit limited. You can usually solve problems by opening a case.

I met my DB and Application security needs with the CTM product.

What do you like best about the product?

Vormetric Data Security Platform is suited best for our organization as it's our centralized key management utility & configuring our customer-defined security policies. We can easily undertake various key lifecycle activities such as key generation, secret rotation & destruction, exporting & importing credentials and Role-Based Access privileges with ease. Overviewing our security audits and obtaining detailed reports is convenient with the aid of its intuitive dashboard.

What do you dislike about the product?

While working with our security enhancements, we observe plenty of options and configurations which need to be done for our customer applications. This inevitably raises the learning curve as we encountered a few fields which were new to us & we didn't proceed with those enhancement requirements. We need to ensure that there aren't any misconfigurations or missouts as it would cause many security violations in the production environment.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

We benefit from the Vormetric Batch Data Transformation feature for our Linux & Windows instances deployed in the AWS environment. It's quite tedious to uphold all encryption & tokenization with high standards & in less time, Vormetric comes to help us in this aspect. It makes sure that high volumes of customer data are secured within our scheduled downtime. When we need to share our database with third-party software, all sensitive contents are efficiently removed with the static data masking feature. It also makes sure to comply with all sensitive record governance and security compliances of our customers.

It eases the data security with improved compliance time and it also protects cloud migration. What more do you expect from Thales ?

Lot of features and control options makes it bit bulky to operate.. but that's all due to this demanding industry.. can't complaint

The Vormetric Data Security provide organizations powerful tools to combat external threats, guard against insider abuse and establish persistent controls, even when data is stored in the cloud or any external provider's infrastructure.

What do you dislike about the product?

Encryption takes a little time which sometimes create delay for a user.
It should be protected from DOS or DDOS like attacks. Encryption of the long file take a lot of time.

Vormetric provides enough security for our organization so that we are not worried about confidentiality of my data. Sometimes we worry about our data but now its cool.

It should be available all the times. If the service becomes unavailable then we get in trouble. Encryption of the long files with small chunk data takes a lot time.

It provides enough security for my organization that I would not be worried about confidentiality of my data atleast. Sometimes I was worried about my data but now its cool.
