good product, steep learning curve but worth it

What do you like best about the product?
the multi-agent setup is what got us. we build AI solutions for large enterprises in India and being able to chain agents for procurement and HR workflows without starting from scratch was a big deal for us. the SAP and Workday integrations worked without too much hassle. also the audit trail feature -- our clients are always asking about compliance so that helps a lot during sales conversations
What do you dislike about the product?
took us a while to figure out some of the documentation, its detailed but honestly a bit overwhelming at first. response latency can be inconsistent sometimes which is annoying during live demos.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
mainly using it to automate internal workflows for our enterprise clients -- things like procurement approvals, HR onboarding, IT helpdesk stuff. before this our team was spending a lot of time building these from scratch for every client. now we reuse agents and integrations across projects which has sped things up quite a bit. clients are also more comfortable with the IBM name behind it, makes the procurement and approval process on their end easier

Orchestrate AI Tasks Effortlessly with Watsonx

  • March 25, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find the agent orchestration genuinely useful, as it allows multiple agents to work together towards a single goal, passing context and making decisions along the way. The seamless integrations with the tools we already use mean no heavy custom coding is required for most cases, which is a game-changer since we didn't have to rip out or replace our existing tools. The enterprise-grade governance, audit logs, and security features provide peace of mind for our compliance team, offering a centralized oversight and fully compliant operations. I also see clear, measurable time savings and productivity gains. Together, these features make IBM watsonx Orchestrate practical, secure, and scalable for real enterprise use, delivering clear productivity gains while keeping everything under control.
What do you dislike about the product?
While IBM watsonx Orchestrate delivers strong value overall, there are a few areas that need improvement. The learning curve for building more advanced or highly dynamic agent flows is steeper than I expected. When we try to connect with older legacy systems or create complex conditional branching with many exceptions, it often takes several rounds of trial and error to get the logic right. Performance can occasionally be inconsistent. During periods of high concurrent usage or when agents are handling larger data volumes, response times slow down noticeably. The visual workflow designer is functional but feels a bit limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
IBM watsonx Orchestrate automates repetitive tasks, reducing errors and freeing us for strategic work. It integrates with existing tools, orchestrating AI agents for smooth workflows. We've seen time savings and improved accuracy in areas like invoicing and client reporting.
