Lead Generator Review of DiscoverOrg
What do you like best about the product?
The depth of mining capability available through use of DiscoverOrg's direct link inside of Salesforce is incredibly helpful in my daily work generating leads for Boardroom Events. The time efficiency afforded makes my work at least 4 times more productive than otherwise.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although quite rare, there are occasions when the email address for a particular corporate executive is either missing or incorrect. However, on these rare occasions, DiscoverOrg has a great protocol in place to request the missing information or that the incorrect email address be corrected and 90+% of the time, this solves the problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
finding precisely the person in mid market companies i am seeking with amazing speed and accuracy

If you're seeking accounts or leads (by title/responsibility), try it out. you'll be amazed at how easy it becomes to mine leads.
DiscoverOrg... Great source for quality contacts
What do you like best about the product?
DiscoverOrg has a great system that is easy to work with, and the quality of the available contact is high. Integrations are available with most of the major CRM systems and searches and exports are relatively straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
What do I dislike about DiscoverOrg... it is rather costly. But that would be the only thing - the technology is strong, and the DiscoverOrg people I work with are extremely helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using DiscoverOrg as a part of my company's content marketing strategy. We are reaching more interested prospects that we have in the past using other providers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
DiscoverOrg has a complex structure for how they break out their contact databases. I would recommend you understand that structure and make sure you are including all of the contacts you want to reach when you build your subscription.

It's a little too US & IT based, would like to see a broader range of roles included

What do you like best about the product?
I love having access to all of the contacts in an organization and well as initiatives happening now.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I find contacts are old and the prospects no longer work for the company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backup, Disaster Recovery, and helping companies enable the hybrid cloud while reducing their overall TCO, improving RPO's/RTO's and improving operational efficiency.

I think it's the best tool out there for cold-calling in a sales role. It's very organized and has a lot of great information to help Sales people make connections for business opportunities. Highly recommend.

Sometimes you call in expecting a person to answer that and they are no longer there or there position does not truly reflect their responsibilities.

I dislike that Discover does not always update the most recent information right away.

Finding the right contacts, able to see what they currently use as a solution

Update information more often within the database
So helpful to my daily routine. Have never been able to access this information so quick.

The amount of resources at my fingertips. I no longer feel like I have no one to contact.

Honestly, nothing. I use it to generate lists, pull info, find prospects and look for scoops. Can't get better than that.

We are a sales organization. We have been able to redefine our target lists and really zone in to the prospects that we haven't been able to break into before.

For sales organizations, it does not get any better.
