Simple tool for SRE planing and bundling alerts.

What do you like best about the product?
Squadcast is simple and powerful. It was easy to set it up, and you have multiple alert sources. Also, planing the SRE on call is easy and intuitive.
Additionally, the free plan has many options to test.
What do you dislike about the product?
In some places, the documentation could be better, but here you can quickly fall back on the support.

Also, some more actions would be nice, to integrate in our tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it as SRE tool, to bundle alerts into one platform and also define who is the SRE on call.

We now get earlier alerts about errors and other problems of our application, and our customers are happier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Test Squadcast and love it, the free plan has a lot of options.

Consise, simple to use, does what you need

What do you like best about the product?
The ability of Squadcast to receive complex payloads and decipher them into meaningful alerts, and then actually alert the people who matter, the people who fix. With the work rota scheduling, outside of business hours, this is critical, and Squadcast does it well.
What do you dislike about the product?
With the input from PRTG and output to Teams, with alerting via their App, there's nothing to dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main issue was that whoever was on call always had to keep looking at PRTG and emails on their phone, disrupting family life and preventing us from relaxing for an evening.
With Squadcast, we can relax knowing that the App will alert us if anything happens. We can trust it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just try it. It does what it does very well.

would be good to have automated deduplication of alerts

We use it for incident management, helps ensure our team knows if any software issues occur.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to configure the paging settings to better control who is getting alerted and how often they are getting alerted, along with the time between alerts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having more notification options would be a plus, but other than that, everything's been great. As the title says this has performed better than other platforms we have tried.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a larger team share the load now with after-hours work, It was essential for us to have a platform that allows us to best cover our schedule needs while also ensuring everyone is on the same page.

What do you like best about the product?
The app rings through Dnd which is a nice feature. Also, the system sends reminders via email before each of your shifts. I also very much enjoy the ease of navigation of the web app.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the lack of a dark mode for the appilication and would very much like to see this feature included in a future release. Also, I would like to be able to view the calendars from my app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a company in need of afterhours services and support and we needed a solution to allow for our existing employees to respond to service calls quickly and intelligently.

What do you like best about the product?
The intuitiveness of the User Interface was very satisfying. The Dashboard actually gave me important and actionable items. The perfect companion for our Team of Support Engineer
What do you dislike about the product?
so far I haven't seen anything that I dislike. I have the app on my mobile device as well and this allows me a great amount of freedom. With our SLA of 1 hour, we can "acknowledge" the incident and proceed from there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We provide 24/7 Support Services. Our After-hours component requires that we give our customers a 60 minutes SLA. Squadcast has allows us maximum flexibility when providing this support without being tethered to our laptops.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a best-in-breed solution for providing 24/7 support, without being tied to your desk

Best Pagerduty Alternative

What do you like best about the product?
They have very good IT Team, support department, they help you with any integration question... After searching and test lots of Pagerduty Alternatives, this is the best, awesome integrations, reporting, tools...
What do you dislike about the product?
They are just two features missing:
1. Ability to sync the SquadCast number in your iPhone contact list (Pagerduty do it in the app).
2. Ability to repeat an alert to the same target, for example, if I want to call me in 1 minute and call again in 2 minutes, I can't do it, this help with "do not disturb" mode on iPhone,.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I integrated all my team alerting worldwide in a single platform, do fast responses to incidents on our app, escalations... They just call you at the right moment.

Good incident management software for a great price

What do you like best about the product?
Squadcast was very easy for us to setup and the sales representatives were very responsive. We were able to integrate the product into our existing stack very quickly and worked as expected.
What do you dislike about the product?
IOS app does not work, crashes on login. The product is not super intuitive to use, requires a fairly steep learning curve. The documentation could be more detailed which would help with setup.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving incident alert management to make sure we can hit the necessary uptime needed for our SLAs. We also needed an on-call rotation schedule which squad cast gave us.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Good tool, great price.

What do you like best about the product?
Fully featured free plan, good enough for small teams
What do you dislike about the product?
No SSO in the free tier is limiting, but not a show stopper

We were looking for a service that provided incident response functionalities for technical teams while also providing reporting tools for stakeholders

What do you like best about the product?
The product is straightforward, easy to use, and self-decribing. I had very little trouble get my teams configured without professional services or any formalized training.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few little things that could stand improving. The ability to acknolwedge alerts via SMS would save a lot of duplicate calls/push notifications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Response to incidents and issues overnight used to be hit or miss if someone missed a text or a phone call. Now that each person in the escalation chain has their own communication preferences defined, we are consistently responding to incidents faster and minimizing production impact.
