Zapier, is a great tool to connect applications
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and ability to connect most of our internal apps together
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there a few apps we have run across that are not available, but very few.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has allowed us to move data around and have in one place for viewing easily
Very good Integrator
What do you like best about the product?
The large number of connections it has with different platforms allows you to work on many integrations without a dedicated IT team for the projects, as well as its ease of implementation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes you can't combine actions in the same Zap and you have to use 2 Zaps to make the integration you're looking for work in the best way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Make integrations a little more complex where more information was required that sometimes basic integrations did not allow me to transfer, as well as connect applications that did not have a native integration.
Effortless Integration
What do you like best about the product?
Zapier has transfromed the way we work. It has made our work much easier and organised! One of the best things is that you can effortlessly integrate it and it updates us real-time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing that I can think of as of the moment. Please keep it up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a Marketing Coordinator, it helps me track and organise registrants whenever we host events. ie Zoom webinars/workshops. We also use integrations for booking meetings, sales update etc.
Excellent Workflow Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Zapier saves me so much time. Many tasks that are repetative and time-consuming can be eliminated by using Zapier's tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Zapier is great, but it would be nice if they had more templates available to make setting up workflows a little easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zapier helps me save time and reduce errors by automating tasks for me.
Strategic Operations
What do you like best about the product?
That you can create workflows for different apps in one place. You can re-run a workflow or disable it in one-click. You can track each run. And receive notifications if it fails.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more training demos or tutorials to watch. or the ability to have a go-to-support zapier representative for assistance. Unless there is and I have not yet been connected...!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To connect apps that may not have that ability. i.e. smartsheet-to-trello. Being able to design workflows on the backend is helpful.
The most useful tool for my business
What do you like best about the product?
Zapier is a tool that every company should be using, it has saved my business alot of money as I have been able to do alot of the tech infrastructre myself with the help of the guides and support desk. Zapier is an integral peice that should be inserted into every business.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface when buiolding zaps was the worst part but they have recenly made changes to this and now it is excellent and easy to use
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zapier has bridged a gap in my business, that gap being how do I get different software to ingergrate with each other how I want them to and zapier has given me all the tools needed to do this.
Wonderful for small businesses and has no limit to its scalability
What is our primary use case?
Zapier is a third-party automation software that connects other applications to each other. I use it to track the clicks I make. Zapier Automation can delete records automatically or add records with certain links between the contact and the opportunity. It can connect to your QuickBooks software, grab accounting data, and bring it into your opportunity. If you want to integrate with PandaDoc and you want to see the status of the e-signature document and at what price it is, you can then put that data back into the opportunity record so it's always updated in Insightly and get your dashboard reports.
How has it helped my organization?
I build out integrations for my clients and we can track how many tasks, clicks, or inputs Zapier can save. It saved them millions of clicks which prevented them from having to hire more and more people. My clients spend $80,000 to $200,000 a year on each employee's salary. If I can make it more efficient for them to use Insightly by implementing Zapier Automation all throughout our system, all modules, leads, opportunities, projects, contacts, organizations, and taking advantage of tracking time, then they don't have to hire someone else because that expert-level employee is doing accounting work or tax work and doesn't have to make them 20 clicks to get something done. It is already right there. Clients know when that employee is having trouble based on the time they need to complete a task. Zapier triggers an alert and says this employee needs help on this specific task. It comes in all forms of how it helps the business because it's really general automation.
What is most valuable?
The most valuable feature is that Zapier has third-party apps that are already connected to the Zapier platform, so it is easy to authenticate with those apps and start using the API connections. It is very simple to put data from one app into another automatically and that is where Zapier really shines. It also does error handling. If there's an error, you will know exactly what's wrong, how to fix it, and how to rerun it so that you can get back to the baseline. Zapier handles everything under the sun that you would think you need in automation.
What needs improvement?
There were some things that needed improvement in the past, but they've fixed them already. Zapier could be a little faster, but that might not be possible. I would encourage Zapier to make more API endpoints for each application.
For how long have I used the solution?
I've been using Zapier for about six to seven years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I don't think there is a limit to Zapier's scalability. I would rate it a ten out of ten.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Zapier is not always stable, but a lot of times it's because the entire API is down. There's no control over it sometimes. For a small to mid-size business, I would rate the stability a ten out of ten. For a larger enterprise, I would rate it a six or seven.
How are customer service and support?
Technical support is very good. Their team is made up of developers and engineers, so they almost always know just what you need if you fill it out the right way.
How was the initial setup?
Right after you set it up, you can do simple things with it and start generating your ROI, just like with Insightly. You can also make things extremely complex and generate a huge ROI if you need that automation. The setup is as easy or complex as you want it to be.
What was our ROI?
You will see a return on investment because Zapier is the most mature integration platform and service on the market.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Zapier's price is high, but it is worth it. You have to pay a premium in order for Zapier to work smoothly. To make your work automation smooth, you have to pay a premium for it because you don't have a developer team. If you have a developer team and an AWS Lambda account or another server where you run your automation, you will pay way less if you use those products.
What other advice do I have?
My advice to people who are considering using Zapier is to have their own developer team. Zapier is a wonderful software for the SMB market, completely different from CRM. If you do not have your AWS spend account, Zapier would be a good option to develop automations or integrations on a platform that does the error handling for you. If you are a small or mid-sized business, Zapier is a great choice. You have to think about compliance as well. If you need to comply with HIPAA, then Insightly App Connect will probably be the automation platform you will need to use. You have to think about the speed of your ROI. Think about scalability and whether you have the resources to expand with the developer team in AWS. Overall, I would rate it a ten out of ten.
Holy Automation Batman!
What do you like best about the product?
I'm still learning about Zapier but the few processes I have set up this far has been so so helpful! Being able to set up so many automations within this app, for the apps that don't offer it this level of help, is insane! I love the quick "templates" they offer bc someone who is new to what Zapier can do, you don't know what you don't know! The templates help you to see just a birds eye view of what it can do to make your day more effecient! I can't wait to learn more and to put it to use where I really need it!
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike is mainly how to set up the zaps. For the most part I have been able to figure out what I am looking for. However, someone who over thinks like I do, it can become a challenge to understand exactly how to execute the steps in order to get the outcome your looking for. So I wouldnt necessarily say its something I don't like, as more of a learning curve!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Right now the biggest issue it is resolving is helping to connect other apps/platforms that my clients use, to make sure the information is all going to the app I use and I don't miss anything important. For example, I have a client that will not use a project management tool and will only use a google ss. When she updates the sheet with tasks/projects, I have a zap that not only notifies me but also delivers the message as a to do in my proj mgmt tool!
Great product but very expensive
What do you like best about the product?
It seems to work very well and it is easy to set-up with other applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price! It is very expensive, especially when you are first learning how to set up an app, and that adds up quickly as each app API behaves very differently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were doing a lot of list updates manually, and Zapier let us connect into apps and update data as needed.
The perfect automation platform
What do you like best about the product?
Zapier makes it so easy to connect different apps or services that would otherwise not be connected - unleasing almost an endless sea of automation possibilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some parts of the interface feel outdated and a bit clanky, whereas competing solutions are much slicker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zapier helps us connect between services that otherwise would not connect, and helps us automate processes such as handling leads, enriching CRM contacts, sending personalized alerts to specific slack channels and more.
