Must-Have for Government Contracting
What do you like best about the product?
I like the projects module in Deltek Costpoint, which significantly enhances our government's contracting processes. This feature is essential as it facilitates the efficient dispersal of costs and creation of different revenue formulas tailored to our contracts. It provides the functionality we needed, motivating our switch from QuickBooks. Overall, this module contributes to our organization's ability to manage complex projects and compliance requirements effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes find it difficult to use Deltek Costpoint in the project setup.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deltek Costpoint helps compartmentalize costs for government contracting and supports passing DCAA audits. It disperses cost and creates different revenue formulas for contracts, which motivated us to switch from QuickBooks.

What do you like best about the product?
I find Deltek Costpoint to be a comprehensive tool with lots of features that are especially valuable for handling manufacturing and financial needs with auditable trails. I appreciate how it serves as a staple for businesses in the manufacturing sector for the government, which underscores its capability in managing complex industry requirements. Its ability to provide complete manufacturing data and procurement information is particularly beneficial, as it supports thorough and efficient management of these critical business areas. Having switched from Infor, I value Deltek Costpoint for combining financials and complete manufacturing data, which enhances the overall workflow and decision-making processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the user interface of Deltek Costpoint to be very dated, which can be an obstacle in efficiently using the software. The abundance of options available can confuse users, and the screens often appear blocky and difficult to read. Additionally, the initial setup of Deltek Costpoint was very difficult, which caused a challenging start to using the software.

I use Deltek Costpoint for integrating manufacturing and financials with auditable trails, providing comprehensive manufacturing data and procurement solutions essential for government contracting.
