I like that Deltek Costpoint is a fully integrated system. This integration is particularly beneficial because it supports a comprehensive and connected approach to processing various functions within our organization. Additionally, I appreciate the superior billing and revenue capabilities it offers compared to other systems. These features enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our financial processes. Furthermore, the initial setup of Deltek Costpoint was straightforward and good, which helped in quickly deploying the system without significant delays or complications.

I find the multi-user functionality of Deltek Costpoint challenging, especially when we need to process multiple companies simultaneously. This limitation creates bottlenecks, reducing our efficiency and complicating our workflow.

I use Deltek Costpoint for processing overnight, streamlining batch closings and job server tasks. Its fully integrated system enhances billing and revenue capabilities, although multi-user functionality for multiple companies could improve.

Costpoint consistently operates according to the instructions you provide. If you don't communicate your intentions clearly, it may not deliver the results you expect, but it will always follow your directions as given.
What do you dislike about the product?
The different domains in Costpoint do not always communicate well with each other. This is particularly true of the Planning domain.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool is useful for resource management and planning for the future. It helps me organize resources efficiently and prepare for upcoming needs.

I really appreciate having everything in one area with Deltek Costpoint. The integration of financials, payroll, budgets, and projects into a single platform is incredibly convenient, allowing me to manage these aspects seamlessly. I find the dashboard particularly valuable for project managers; it places budgets, financials, and all projects right at their fingertips, which enhances efficiency and accessibility. This all-in-one accessibility greatly supports project management tasks by ensuring that all necessary tools and information are readily available without the need to navigate multiple systems. Furthermore, my satisfaction with Deltek Costpoint is so high that I would rate my likelihood to recommend it to others as a solid 10 out of 10.

I find the reconciliations with pools problematic within Deltek Costpoint. Additionally, despite the system being understood well initially, I have faced challenges due to the need for cleaning up financials over an extended period. This was necessary due to previous users' lack of expertise or understanding in utilizing the system effectively.

I use Deltek Costpoint to streamline financials, payroll, and budgets efficiently, all centralized in one area. The dashboard provides project managers easy access to financials and project details, enhancing project oversight.
