What do you like best about the product?
CAS compliance within gov on is what I like best about Costpoint. I particularly like the enhancements that are being rolled out.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the gui of Costpoint. Purpose and innovation and the way the diffrrent theme areas could be better in the user experience. Customer support is quick to close any support tickets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Billing and revenue
I am used to use cp7 and its very user friendly

All in one service, meaning timesheet and all expenses can be done in one program

So far so good and there are nothing I don't like yet

What do you like best about the product?
Everything is there at the tip of our fingertips. It creates a flow to notify other employees of their duties.
What do you dislike about the product?
There seems to be a delay in uploading documents to update certain charts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use the expense feature of Deltek. So, the automation of notifications to everyone in an approval process are notified. I no longer have to contact and email them about it.

What do you like best about the product?
Costpoint has great OOTB functionality, along with easy extensibilty development
What do you dislike about the product?
A fair bit of a learning curve with the majority of functions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Management of projects, time collection, payroll functions
The system is amazing
What do you like best about the product?
The support staff makes my job so easy when I am going crazy, I love the total functionality of the entire project. I use this product frequently during my work week.
What do you dislike about the product?
The help notes are too much sometimes, especially when I need a quick answer to the process
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The updates give me pause, because sometimes you dont know if there is a problem with the product until you are in the process

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to add extension fields is important in our line of business. We've done several M&A integrations and it's always so easy when we're converting data from one CP database to ours.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to report revenue at the lowest level possible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our revenue redistribution process is not accurate and Deltek is currently looking into this issue. Apparently we're not the only customer with this problem.
Deltek Costpoint has made my daily tasks more managable.
What do you like best about the product?
Costpoint timekeeping has made the procces much smoother. The learning process of Deltek Costpoint was easy to learn. I appreciate the fact that there are so many tools and was to find "How To's" within the Deltek portal which made integration very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only dislike I have about costpoint is not knowing what I dont know.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deltek has made the process of Accounting, timekeeping and contract's much smoother.
Using Deltek Costpoint in Government contracting
What do you like best about the product?
Relatively easy to use in day to day functions. Constantly thinking ahead and making changes as needed for market. I've used most modules and sometimes "self taught" either by just trial by error or researching through their Help screens. As long as follow the correction procedure, it is easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
There have been times when Deltek would push an update and it was almost as if it wasn't tested before going into production.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Just getting started on the Planning module. I think this will ease the duplication of work using many spreadsheets in order to properly see where a project or budget is heading.

I most appreciate its full "soup to nuts" approach with data - all my billing, time and attendance-reporting-Govwin

It was written (IMO) with an engineer's mindset rather than an end user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For Government contracting, being DCAA compliant and detailed has been beneficial
showing 311 - 320
