Highly Customizable with Easy Setup
What do you like best about the product?
I use Tableau for creating dashboards by connecting it to my Snowflake database. It helps me easily interpret the data with its customizable dashboards. I like the customizable options that Tableau offers along with the metric calculations. I can see and track whatever I want to convey to the business team with its help. The initial setup was very easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The containers can be improved. Sometimes it really gets messy, recently faced issue fixing the containers to accommodate multiple charts.

Good toll, slow to load
What do you like best about the product?
The cuts and the depth of analysis that you can do is great
What do you dislike about the product?
Not very non-data user friendly, difficult to create views for people who don't understand data science that well
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me see better cuts of the data
Its a neat solution for your data needs
What do you like best about the product?
It’s solid for slicing data and building dashboards that leadership can easily digest. One thing I really like is how easy it is to connect to different data sources and build quick visuals that help tell a story.
What do you dislike about the product?
It’s not perfect. Building dashboards can be time-consuming, especially when you want to customize things for different audiences. As a data consumer, I often find the UI a bit rigid — not everything is as interactive or flexible as I'd like. It also runs a little slow at times, especially with larger data sets or more complex views. Use it almost every other day, have integrated it with amplitude but dont love that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For me, Tableau makes it easier to pull insights from data without having to live in Excel all day. I use it to track things like revenue, churn, and m-o-m changes , stuff that would take a lot longer to piece together manually.
It helps me get a clearer picture of what’s happening in the business and share that with stakeholders in a way that’s easy to digest. Instead of spending time cleaning and formatting reports, I can focus more on what the data is actually telling us and where we need to act.
It’s not perfect, but it definitely saves time and helps me work smarter.

Nice, intuitive interface and easy access to data
What do you like best about the product?
The training was really quick and I felt confident quickly that I could start building dashboards
What do you dislike about the product?
I didn't really encounter too many issues, and actually it was all quite smooth

Tableau - A powerful BI tool
What do you like best about the product?
Tableau is a powerful business analytics and visualization tool. We have been using it for data analytics, dashboards, and visual representation of cleaned data. The tool is stable and reliable. Using Tableau, the data can be fetched from multiple sources and then can be passed through custom rule sets to clean it, massage it and then store it into intermediate tables from where it can be picked up by dashboards and reports. Tableau gives you a lot of options when it comes to data sources like flat files, Excel files, Cloud databases, native databases and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tableau is a great tool that is being used in our organization on a daily basis. There are no dislikes for it. We have created a scheduler which pulls the data from our summarized table and then puts it into the data preparation stage where the data cleansing takes place and the cleaned data becomes available to us for reporting in different ways. The support from the Salesforce team is great when it comes to Tableau. The platform is AI powered and thus helps in predictive analysis. Tableau has the capability to work with big data. The platform is very secure and can be deployed On-Premise or can be used as a Cloud based solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau by Salesforce is being used widely. It can be integrated with Salesforce CRM to provide forecasted inputs to the Sales and Marketing teams. Forecasting is based on the raster algorithms helping in analyzing of market trends. Tableau can be integrated with other third party platforms too. Further, it uses AI for data insights and data outputs through layman chats. Dashboards in Tableau can be created easily. Visualization tools include having bar charts, graphs, maps, funnels, word clouds, butterfly charts, pie diagrams, gauges and more. We have been designing different reports for our Senior Management using Tableau.
Journey with Tableau
What do you like best about the product?
The interface and ease to use it. Also, end users feel it very easy to use the tool to view insights and dashboards developed using Tableau. With my years of experience working on Tableau, i can confidently say that it deser its place in Gartner 1st quadrant
What do you dislike about the product?
Tableau data modelling needs an overhaul like powerbi is having inbuilt option. Though tableau prep is there but if it can be integrated into Tableau desktop will make it unbeatable champ
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To generate insights and draw conclusion based on that for business decisions.

Powerful Visualizations, But Lagging in Flexibility and UX
What do you like best about the product?
Tableau excels at transforming large datasets into visually compelling dashboards with minimal ramp-up. The drag-and-drop interface is intuitive once you understand its structure, and its ability to connect to various data sources (Excel, SQL, cloud platforms) makes it a strong BI tool for cross-functional reporting. Visual interactivity (like filters, tooltips, and drilldowns) is very effective for executive-level presentations.
What do you dislike about the product?
It struggles with real-time flexibility and requires significant effort for iterative analysis. Unlike Excel or Power BI, quick ad hoc pivots or complex logic layers often feel constrained or convoluted. The interface can be slow with large datasets, and calculated fields often involve trial and error due to vague error messaging. Tableau Prep isn’t a strong ETL substitute. Licensing costs are also high, especially when scaling across teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau helps centralize disparate data sources into a single visual layer, making it easier to tell a consistent story across business units. This reduces the manual effort of building charts in Excel and improves reporting velocity to stakeholders. It also provides non-technical users access to self-serve analytics, which cuts down on redundant report requests. However, its value is more in presentation than in data exploration.
Enterprise-Grade BI Tool That Transforms Data into Strategic Decisions
What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate most about Tableau is its ability to turn raw, complex data into visually compelling, interactive dashboards with ease. Working as a data analyst in a tech-enabled real estate company, I used Tableau to build executive dashboards that pulled real-time data from Google BigQuery and Excel to visualize KPIs like lead conversions, onboarding efficiency, and operational bottlenecks across multiple business verticals.
The drag-and-drop interface makes it approachable for business users, while calculated fields and advanced filtering options provide power and flexibility for more technical analysts. Its integration with numerous cloud platforms—especially Salesforce and Google Sheets—has made data consolidation seamless. We reduced manual reporting time by over 75%, and decision-making became data-driven rather than intuition-based.

What do you dislike about the product?
While Tableau is feature-rich, it can be resource-intensive—especially when handling large datasets (millions of rows) or complex calculated fields. At times, dashboards took several seconds to load despite server optimization. Licensing is also on the higher side, which makes it a less accessible option for startups or smaller teams.
Moreover, although the UI is friendly, the learning curve for mastering calculated fields, LOD expressions, and advanced analytics features can be steep for non-technical users. We had to invest in onboarding and formal training sessions for new team members to ensure proper adoption.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau is helping us make faster, data-driven decisions by providing interactive dashboards that consolidate data from multiple sources including Google BigQuery, Excel, and Salesforce. This has significantly reduced manual reporting effort and improved data visibility across departments. Our team can now track KPIs in real-time, detect performance trends, and take corrective action immediately. It has improved cross-functional communication and operational efficiency.
Best Bi application from all
What do you like best about the product?
I was using tableau for last 3 year's and i liked it the most from the other tools like MS bi, amazon quicksight etc. This is the best as we can connect most of the data sources to it and now AI is integrated as we can get help in creation of dashboards. Also pulse is another option which gives insights on the data with inbuilt qns which ee can get into.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost is somewhat higher, it can't be affordable for most of the companies
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With large sized data we can get a glance look and get to know how the flow works. By the insights we can study/analyse the bunch of data in seconds
