Intuitive and Dynamic, But Struggles with Large Data
What do you like best about the product?
I use Tableau to create dashboards and visualizations based on stakeholder requests. It's easy to use, with a very user-friendly UI, and the learning curve is very small. I can create various types of charts and graphs according to requirements, and the best part is the LOD calculations which help fix data granularity. I also enjoy creating calculated fields and parameters to make the view as dynamic as possible, allowing users to interact with the data. I appreciate how easy it is to maintain and share dashboards since switching from Excel. Scheduling data refreshes and publishing dashboards to company servers for user access is straightforward. The initial setup was very easy too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Data size handling, at live connection if the data is too large then it makes it very difficult to create any views in the workbook. When I connect my workbook with a huge data set, any changes made while creating a view cause it to start recalibrating, which freezes the whole workbook and slows down the view creation process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Tableau for dynamic dashboards and data visualization. It’s user-friendly with a small learning curve. LOD calculations fix data granularity, and dynamic views help with data extraction. Switching from Excel eased dashboard maintenance, with easy sharing and scheduling of data refreshes.
User-Friendly and Simple Analytics Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like Tableau for its quality and user-friendly design. It helps organizations see and understand their data by transforming it into easy-to-understand charts, graphs, and dashboards, enabling data-driven decisions. The initial setup is also very simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like it could use more appealing images.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Tableau to help organizations see and understand their data using easy-to-understand charts, graphs, and dashboards, enabling data-driven decisions.
Effortless Data Visualization, Steep Learning Curve for Advanced Tasks
What do you like best about the product?
I use Tableau to quickly analyze data and create clear, interactive dashboards. I like how easy it is to create powerful visualizations and explore data without needing complex coding. Tableau works really well with large datasets and updates dashboards quickly, which saves a lot of time. Tableau’s ability to handle large datasets has been a huge time-saver for me. I was able to connect to massive sources and the dashboards still update almost instantly, allowing me to focus on analyzing the insights rather than worrying about the software freezing up. The setup was really smooth, and I was able to start building my first chart within maybe 15 minutes. It’s the industry standard for a reason. Even though it has a learning curve, the amount of power and flexibility you get is worth it.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing that could be improved is the learning curve for advanced features. While basic charts are easy to make, trying to learn complex calculations or Level of Detail (LOD) expressions can be really overwhelming. It feels like there is a huge jump in difficulty between 'beginner' and 'intermediate' tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Tableau to quickly analyze data and create interactive dashboards, turning raw data into clear visual insights. It handles large datasets efficiently, saving time and allowing me to focus on analysis without worrying about software issues.

Powerful Data Connectivity and Interactive Dashboards
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate its extensive data connectivity options, which allow users to connect data from various sources. Additionally, the interactive dashboard features make it easy to compare results.
What do you dislike about the product?
One aspect I dislike about Tableau is that it is too expensive for individual users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau aims to make complex data more understandable and actionable for everyone, and it is easily accessible on both mobile devices and PCs.
Effortless Data Visualization, Room for Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to just drag and drop stuff in Tableau and instantly see visuals. The dashboards look really clean without putting in too much effort, and the filters and interactions are super smooth. I also appreciate how fast it handles big datasets, as it doesn’t feel laggy most of the time. Overall, Tableau just makes working with data feel less painful and more intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some things feel a bit heavy or overkill for small projects. It can be slow to load sometimes, especially on lower-end systems. Also, a few features aren’t very intuitive at first, so there’s a learning curve. Licensing cost is another downside, it’s not very student-friendly outside the free version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Tableau to analyze and visualize data, turning raw datasets into clear dashboards and charts. It helps me make sense of large datasets, spot patterns, and present insights clearly and quickly, simplifying workflow and enhancing data presentation.
Seamless Reporting, Lightning-Fast Results
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Tableau is very smooth with the prompts. Whenever I tell Tableau or write that I'd like a report on jobs posted, it gives me the exact report within a few seconds. It's something I really like. It has become very valuable because of the functionality to get reports so quickly, which my clients need frequently, sometimes even within weeks. It makes things a lot easier for me to extract and download reports from Tableau and provide them to my clients seamlessly during calls. The initial setup of Tableau was very easy too. The Tableau team was very cooperative and provided us with a demo on how to use the product, and have been helpful if we encounter any difficulties.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when I'm trying to get a new report and putting in the prompt, the Tableau system glitches, and I have to redo the steps. Also, when I'm extracting the report, it lags sometimes. These are things that can be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Tableau for seamless data extraction and reporting, automating what was manual in Excel. It creates precise reports quickly, which I can provide to clients effortlessly, even during calls.
