What do you like best about the product?
Tableau has an easy interface to navigate. It enhances data discovery and understanding within our business organizations. It has simple features, easily accessible data and can easily create reports and dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
Implementation wasn't as easy as anticipated. There were a lot of bumps and nuances along the way. There were things we were unable to anticipate to integrate so wouldn't blame Tableau for this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data, data, data. We needed a way to bring data to life to our key leaders and our reporting prior wasn't cutting it and wasn't as accurate as we needed it to be.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Create a structured plan for internal members prior to implementation. set clear expectations for users and team members. Hold multiple training sessions as early as possible.

It's a great tool once you figure out how to use it.

There's a big learning curve and you need someone who understands data to fully realize the power of tableau.

we use it for daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting. We also use it for planning and deep dive analysis into any piece of our business.

It's a great tool but you need to learn how to use it to get the most out of it, it is an expensive investment.

It can be difficult to customize on the back end.

Salesforce helps me to organize my day and be efficient in my role.

Some versions have different features that are needed for my role. Switching back and forth to the different versions can take up some time.

Drag and drop feature doesnt always do what i want it to.

Correlation of large amounts of data in a short period of time. The ability to refine the analytics on a much smaller scale.

Ability to analyze information in a variety of ways, all at your finger tips, once familiar with software easy to manipulate

Extremely tired difficult to navigate and customize especially if not proficient with tableau

What do you like best about the product?
Being about to visualize data without having to create spread sheets and graphs. It reduces human errors.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not clearly knowing how to really use the software outside of my basic task. It use to freeze up but Google chrome changed that. Also not being able to compare 2 products in any fashion at the same time
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I’m able to use the data found in Tableau to make calculations from the data that would lead to any potential alerts in safety and surveillance. The problems we are able to solve are if UOM are off through quick visualization we can view this and correct the problem quickly.

I like the sheer amount of data you can get from Tableau.

Often times it can take a while for Tableau to load - which makes sense with all the data.

We use Tableau mostly to to pull data and reports.

Tableau is great if you need to pull a lot of data to try and find trends within the business.
