What do you dislike about the product?
A lot of templates are paid. There should be some provision so that it can be used for personal use.

Intuitive Visualizations, But Needs Better Integration

  • December 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that the UI is pretty easy and very simple. I find it very helpful that Tableau automatically suggests different types of visualizations, which I think is the best feature. The region-specific visualizations, like the world map, are also nice and make the tool more interesting for me. The automatic suggestions for visualizations based on sales or spend volumes are particularly useful because they simplify creating reports and dashboards. This automatic feature helps me a lot by making the process easier, especially when I have to analyze spend volumes by supplier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Oh, Tableau Desktop is a bit slow. That's what I feel. The integration with Microsoft apps could be improved. When I use Power BI, it's simple to launch through Teams or embed into my Excel apps, but that's not the case with Tableau. So if we can focus on a better integration, that will be very nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau helps me collect and collate data from Excel and ERP solutions, making it easy to create reports and dashboards. Its visualization suggestions simplify analyzing sales and spend volumes, automatically summarizing data, which makes my life easier.

What do you like best about the product?
What stands out best about Tableau is its unmatched visualization engine and intuitive drag-and-drop interface. It allows users to transform massive, complex datasets into beautiful, interactive dashboards quickly, making high-level data storytelling accessible without requiring advanced coding skills.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tableau’s high licensing costs and steep learning curve for advanced calculations. Additionally, its data preparation layer is weaker than competitors, often requiring separate tools, and complex dashboards can suffer from slow performance with large datasets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau solves the problem of siloed, complex data by consolidating disparate sources into one view. It benefits you by enabling faster decision-making through interactive dashboards, allowing non-technical users to uncover hidden trends and insights via simple drag-and-drop analysis.

What do you like best about the product?
I find Tableau to be a great tool for meeting the reporting requirements of our business. The user interface is tremendously helpful, making it easy to bring in all the dimensions and facts related to our business, and it's really easy to use for developers. The charts and reports we create with Tableau have been able to provide great insights for the businesses we consult for, such as business growth, areas for improvement, and where the business is excelling. The ease of importing dimensions and tables into Tableau makes it straightforward to arrange data hierarchically, which is a valuable feature for us. Also, the initial setup was smooth, allowing us to onboard everything efficiently. I'd say Tableau has been a wonderful tool, enabling our organization to provide insightful trends and business analysis to grow. I would recommend it nine out of 10 because it's an incredible tool that improves daily.
What do you dislike about the product?
