A flexible tool that can evolve with our business.
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to create models that speak to each other whenever necessary. The tool is flexible enough for us to design models that enhance the user experience over excel and provide ability to perform calculations in real-time across much larger data sets.
What do you dislike about the product?
Anaplan's calculation engine and models are rhobust, but visuals are still lacking. Having multiple UX options creates inconsistency across the user base and inflexibility of visuals requires exports of data to excel for reporting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reduces errors that might be caused through the use of Excel, reduces amount of time spent on analysis and data maintenance. Significantly improves communication across the business.

What do you like best about the product?
Multidimensional structure, real-time computation of data, easy and comprehendible Excel alike formulas, dashboards with a graphical representation of data, and many more
What do you dislike about the product?
Managing sparsity is a challenge with Anaplan, as in a real-life scenario there will be multiple heavy-weight dimensions, and with Anaplan acquiring space for the cells where there will be no data is a bit challenging from a business perspective.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anaplan helps in enterprise-wide planning, bringing all the departments together to collaboratively plan the budget and play their specific roles. It has crunched the data preparation and budget preparation time allowing more time to review.

What do you like best about the product?
It allows creation of multiple hierarchies within the consolidation - important for creating multiple sets of financial statements for different users.
What do you dislike about the product?
New company set up is relatively straightforward once you know the steps but it seems like some of the steps could be automated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currency conversion is much simpler - formerly it was done manually for each entity and the risk of error was high. Now it's done automatically by simply entering the rates.

Being able to use excel based reports to create what you need.
What do you dislike about the product?
The ETL process could be improved to speak directly to local ERP systems.

It is reducing the time in the consolidation process.

Flexibility & Power in Connected Planning
What do you like best about the product?
The powerful and flexible capabilities of the platform, but deliverable in such a way that allows the business to take ownership of its models, apps, and ecosystem (low/no-code).
What do you dislike about the product?
Given the current state of the platform feature improvements, there are a few parallel views of the platform concurrently available. For example, you can model using the old or new interface which can lead to confusion among newer users not familiar with the old style.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Connected planning - Through better enabling the business to take ownership of their end-to-end processes while allowing the organization to more quickly take action on strategic objectives through connected planning.
Anaplan for SPM Review
What do you like best about the product?
Anaplan is incredibly flexible and easy to learn for both users and developers. It can be used for almost any function, including sales and finance. You can make changes in real-time and communicate to other users with the in-app commenting features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Anaplan does not currently allow for object level migration - all migrations are done at the model level. This is to ensure a developer does not mess anything up when migrating to production, which is good, but can make it difficult to time releases and bug fixes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anaplan gives us a platform to have connected planning, so we don't need to deal with the downsides of sending google sheets back and forth. It allows for more integrated, real-time planning.

There is no such thing I dislike in this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use fulence technologies for doing accounting services of my clients. It is very useful and technologically well equipped.
A real Out-of-the Box consolidation solution. Built by finance people for finance people !
What do you like best about the product?
Our clients love the Fluence solution. It’s a real out-of-the-box consolidation solution that the finance department can operate with full autonomy. No more relying on the IT department. On top of that, it’s fast to implement and easy to maintain We appreciate that we can forgo coding in favor of settings and drop-lists.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some enhancements are required on the journal entries module. From my understanding, it's in progress

Best in class solution for complex financial planning and analysis
What do you like best about the product?
Anaplan is an amazing dimensional modeling tool. It has a very powerful calculation engine allowing you to calculate at speed and scale. Its best application is for driver-based planning and connected planning. Its a user-focused tool that is that has a very excel-like feel.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting capability is not as strong as some BI tools, however, it does have native connectors for Power BI and Tableau. Making enhancements can be challenging if it is a complex solution as the calculations are always on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving data trust issues as we are now allowing the business to have one source of truth for data and modeling that can be trusted. Additionally, we are creating more value by spending less time in our planning process.
