Powerful Free Alternative to Paid Platforms

  • March 24, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love Jitsi for its speed and performance, especially since it holds up well even when my internet connection is poor. The fact that it's free is a huge plus for me. I also appreciate how well it functions like paid platforms such as Zoom and ClickMeeting.
What do you dislike about the product?
session protection - now it requires setting a password for the conference room, but when all participants leave, the password disappears too, and you have to set it again. In 1:1 sessions, when my customer leaves (because of poor internet connection), I must reload the webpage and set another password to lock access for other users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have access to a free tool for videoconferencing, 1:1 coaching, session recording, screen sharing, chat, and whiteboard features.

What do you like best about the product?
I like Jitsi for its simple and reliable video conferencing capabilities that don't require any complex setup. The browser-based access makes joining meetings quick and hassle-free, saving me a lot of time with no installation or setup required. The audio and video quality is decent, which is crucial for clear communication. I also appreciate its seamless screen sharing, which is especially valuable during reviews and troubleshooting sessions. It's great that it works well even on moderate internet connections, helping my team when working remotely. The simplicity, reliability, and no login required feature really stand out for me, making it a good choice for small teams and quick meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
One challenge I have noticed is its inconsistent behavior during large meetings. As more people join, sometimes we face audio and video quality issues. Also, the UI is very simple compared to the advanced conferencing tools nowadays.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Jitsi for quick and hassle-free meetings with its browser-based access and no installation needed. It performs well on moderate internet connections, helping remote teams. The seamless screen sharing is valuable for reviews and troubleshooting.

Free, easy, and secure video conferencing tool, with some limitations in stability

  • March 12, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I value most about Jitsi Meet is its ease of use: it doesn't require registration or installation to join a meeting, just a link. The audio and video quality is surprisingly good for a free and open-source tool. Additionally, it allows screen sharing, using the internal chat, and has end-to-end encryption, making it ideal for meetings where privacy is important.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main issue is the occasional instability, especially in meetings with many participants or with E2E encryption enabled, where the audio may cut out. Recording meetings is unreliable without additional setup (Jibri), and technical support is limited due to it being open source, which makes it difficult to resolve issues quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jitsi solves the need for quick video calls without relying on paid platforms or time limits like Zoom. It allows me to hold team meetings and interviews immediately, without participants needing to create an account. The main benefit is cost savings and autonomy, as being open source, it can be self-hosted on one's own server for greater control.

A Great Open-Source Alternative to Zoom

  • March 06, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Honestly, I love open source software, so that's a plus for me. I preferred it always and I don't know why it didn't got more attention over Zoom for example during Covid. For most use cases and small meetings it works very well and it's simple enough for most users. Being OSS, it's fairly easy to get support from peer users. You can easily integrate it other software if needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't needed, but I understand you might need some tech knowledge to make a custom implementation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
First and foremost, the cost of propietary solutions for the same target use. If self-hosted, you own your solution and your data.

Privacy-Focused, Frictionless Video Calls

  • February 03, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Jitsi as my go-to 'anti-corporate' powerhouse because it values privacy and simplification, unlike other platforms. One of the things I love is the 'Zero Friction' aspect, the 'Join-and-Go' vibe that makes connecting super easy. I also appreciate how Jitsi provides the ability to create custom, permanent URLs, which eliminates the need for sending invites every time. This 'Open-Room' concept fosters a 'drop-in' culture and gives a sense of ownership through naming. Jitsi feels like a reliable multi-tool for immediate digital communication needs and transforms remote work into a less lonely experience by turning video calls into virtual physical spaces. Plus, everything just works well without any hiccups, making it an enjoyable experience overall.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up Jitsi can either be extremely easy or take an entire weekend, with almost no middle ground.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Jitsi to tackle digital communication issues with its simplicity and privacy. It solves problems like friction in joining calls, invite anxiety, and brings in a drop-in culture, enhancing remote work with custom, permanent URLs.
