Recommendations to others considering the product:
All good.
One of the best PLM and QMS tool!
What do you like best about the product?
Arena works on the cloud, hence it doesn't need a dedicated computer server for the operations. It runs on all the operating systems which makes it from other plm tools. It's very user friendly and easy to operate. It is one among the best tools for document control which keeps track of the document revisions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since the documents need all the required approvals before moving to the production, that makes the process time consuming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use arena for BOM and documents management. It keeps track of the document revisions and updates automatically without being worried about it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Highly recommended for document management
Arena is very nice for organizing things

Linking things to other items is very easy
What do you dislike about the product?
Some things like linking documents for certifications are a bit strange.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the login and security can be problematic but the level of security is required I know.

I am notified in a timely manner of changes to documents, the benefits help me quickly make changes based on new specs and documents being delivered to me. It is helpful for a just in time environment.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend using this platform especially if you are managing multiple sites or working with contract manufactures requiring some access.

Arena Review
What do you like best about the product?
Training is very easy to sort through and see available assignments.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a bit too many tabs on some pages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the problem of organizing training for a medical environment.
Easy to use and Access PLM software
What do you like best about the product?
I like that everything is stored on servers, and that file management is very simple, while establishing revisions and locking versions that have been ratified. The new drag and drop feature was also appreciated so that I could add multiple files at once and not have to search for the directory constantly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see some automatic file detection settings, to recognize certain files as CAD or Drawings. I also would like perhaps some in-browser 3D preview capabilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems being solved are revision and document tracking issues. It's helpful to allow everyone access these files even if they are remote. This allows everyone to be on the same page regarding file management, regardless of location or function.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider whether the servers is a big positive or not. It's very helpful but not necessary if you want to host it all yourself.
Excellent Application
What do you like best about the product?
All the data you need in an accessible place. Easy to navigate. Love the import/export of CSV files
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing I can think of currently. Could use rules for duplicate items/line numbers on the Bill of materials.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fulfills everything we need from a PLM
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Easy to navigate and user friendly
Arena is a great tool for processing documents.
What do you like best about the product?
The main thing I like about arena is that it is such an upgrade compared to the method my company was using before. Digital is the future of data storage, and I think arena made the transition from physical very easy. Granted, I am younger than many of my peers and would say that I am technologically versed so I had an easy time transitioning to this online system, but even so, my older peers only took a couple months and some training sessions to perform basic tasks necessary to continue processing documents. The ease of collaboration makes the entire process much more efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only dislike I have for the system is that documents must be downloaded to local drives in order to be viewed. I believe having a function where documents can be opened in the browser as a PDF, and still maintaining the option to download, would be more useful as documents do not always need to be edited but rather just viewed. Additionally, I dislike the fact that the whole system is relatively slow, so to circumvent this inefficiency I typically open each new item/dco in a new tab. It would be great if the system could automatically do this as I know I'm not the only person that uses arena like this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think the biggest benefit is having a digital history of documents and their respective revs over the course of time. I also think there is great benefit in having custom approvals which increases communication within the company so everyone can function on the same page.
Arena PLM efficiency
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to communicate official documents with the rest of the company. I also like that Arena is frequently providing updates to the system, many of which are useful and improve user efficiency. I like that there's the ability to leave notes on each item in an ECO.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be slow. Recent updates have improved functionality (such as the new file upload UI), but some things are unclear. It is unclear how to review ECOs and compare BOMs. I wish there was a way to search and save items (such as to a BOM) more efficiently, instead of 1 by 1 with each part number. I also wish there was some kind of "To do list" functionality, where I can mark items on an ECO that I haven't finished updating yet, instead of just having to open each part in a separate tab so I don't forget. I wish there was somehow a way to make it more obvious to a non-experienced Arena user (such as someone who doesn't create items or ECOs, but only logs in to view official documents) that the revision they're on is WORKING if it's not yet released. There should be a way to view all the Scribes you are following on the dashborad, instead of just new messages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is nice to be keeping versions locked, so that there is no confusion within the company. It has reduced the amount of verbal and informal communication between the engineers and field service, since they now have a repository of information in Arena that they know is official, up to date, and relevant.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's nice that Arena is web-based. It is working well for our company and makes our processes more streamlined. Less mistakes are made, and if they are, there's a clear record of them in the documentation.
