I'm a Digital Marketing Manager with 8 years of full-time experience in digital and web development.
What do you like best about the product?
HubSpot does the best job at connecting marketing, sales, and service. I've worked with multiple systems in the past and almost always had to close the loop between different systems by developing custom solutions. This is the first system to successfully do that under one hub, pun intended.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is almost always a trade-off no matter what tool(s) you decide to use. Since the system is built to make marketing, sales, and service super intuitive for most users, flexibility with some features is slightly compromised. Still worth it in my opinion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm constantly testing out different ways of accomplishing a goal. Problems include creating fancy layouts or behavior or tracking. It's all part of the game though so I find it enjoyable. The main benefit is having everybody on the team being comfortable enough 90% of the time in CMS Hub.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Keep being awesome!
Best in breed CMS
What do you like best about the product?
Having worked with many CMS before, HubSpot has proved to be the most functional, expansive, intuitive, and robust platform I've worked on. There are so many features and the additional tools it connects to makes the CMS that much more powerful. Enough so that you can power your entire front office on their platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
HubSpot is always improving. Sometimes they make changes that take a little bit to learn and adjust your standard process. But usually results in a more complete user experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have leveraged the CMS Hub to customize solutions for organizations in almost every vertical. From building beautiful inbound focused websites to global franchise website with hundreds of locations, to capitalizing on a digital approach for brick and mortar stores, there isn't really a type of website that HubSpot can't support. And if there is a particular functionality they can't, their API documentation allows them to leverage the power of 3rd parties for mutual benefit.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do it! But understand that HubSpot can be an expensive web hosting platform is that's all you use it for. The real value of HubSpot comes from the various tools that enable entire organizations from sales to marketing to HR, to do what they need to do more efficiently. Don't be afraid to look for help in taming this expansive software as well. If you don't have the resources or expertise in-house, you're missing an opportunity to capitalize on an awesome tool.
Content management for website and digital marketing portfolio
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, recommendations to optimize pages for content and searchability. I have transferred 2 company's CMS from WordPress to HubSpot in my career.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some instances where if you don't know code well and are just looking at WYSIWYG things don't always appear they way you want and without a deeper understanding of code, you need technical support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Optimization hints make it really easy to setup each page, I know which pages and content are driving traffic.
Stable, versatile, reliable
What do you like best about the product?
The CMS is a great system for seeing all your web, email and blog pages in one location. It is easy to create new pages, populate them with modules inside any templates you choose or build yourself, and effectively edit safely. It handles AMP pages for blogs, has great image and video support, as well as a complete stock photography section. The user interface is very clear, and you know where you are without confusion. The design manager has been recently revamped and includes great features to edit HTML, CSS and JS in your modules, if needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although everything is there, it lacks clear feedback as to whether changes have been made that need publishing. It also doesn't mention what those changes, if any, are. Each module you create is nested inside HubSpot's own HTML elements and none of them have easy-to-use ids or classes, making advanced page manipulation a chore, with workarounds required. You also cannot simply set a class to the page body element either. So those little things just slow you down. So advanced web designers might find it limiting. It does give you the chance to think out of the box though!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a marketing presence that could integrate landing pages and forms neatly into our back-end. We also run a blog so needed a clear way for the technical team and less technical staff to write and publish stories. We also use HubSpot pages to create widgets to aid staff and clients in the operation of our SaaS products. Having all of this in one place has been invaluable and really speeds our processes along.
So easy to use, I can even do it!
What do you like best about the product?
As a marketer, I can easily create and edit website and landing pages.
What do you dislike about the product?
So flexibilty issues with 3rd party tools
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps with the ease of use of creating and publishing landing pages for events and other activities. Because of this, I have realized that our registrations have increased.
Nothing Comes Close to HubSpot when it comes to CRMs
What do you like best about the product?
The product is very useable straight out of the box and is unbelievably intuitive. No matter what you do you can't break it, I know I've tried often enough. The customer support is outstanding and there is literally nothing that you can't learn to do through the baked in HubSpot academy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting can sometimes be a little over complicated and cumbersome, a better integration with MS teams would also be very welcome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Efficiencies across the board, the automation has increased effectiveness of all staff and the standardisation of processes has led to cost savings in excess of the fee we pay for the system.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The support and product are truly outstanding, it really is rare for me to spend time to write a review for any product, the fact that I am doing it for HubSpot really is a testament to how good it is. It really is the backbone of our business now and one of the best purchasing decisions I have ever made.
Great system and a competitive price
What do you like best about the product?
I like that, even as a novice, you can jump straight into the complex parts of the system knowing that you can find your way home. The system is near to flawless and the integration with other online systems also helps it stand out.
What do you dislike about the product?
There honestly isn't anything i'd change about the system - it is near to perfect and navigation makes the process so much easier than other systems I've used.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we have integrated our systems and streamlined our database.
Easy to use!
What do you like best about the product?
We're an active Hubspot user - it fuels our website and is easy for novice users to populate and produce top level industry content - on a daily basis!
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like the ability to bulk rename photos or have more flexibility in setting the order.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The built in templates make building pages much easier than other plugins I've tried with other platforms.
A system that works and promotes productivity
What do you like best about the product?
As a marketing professional, I like that everything you need is in one location. HubSpot continually updates its software to improve workflow and functionality.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have no particular downsides I notice from the product - especially as HubSpot continues to take time to improve and build out its software to meet the needs of its customers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping us build a better a website and build out more robust content for our customers. The actionable insights tell us what is working and what content our audience loves.
Hubspot CMS is extremely powerful to create sites that get prospects to engage with your content
What do you like best about the product?
Native connection to Marketing & CRM. No Code template management (for adding/moving content areas within templates). Drag-n-Drop page design and WSIWYG content creation/editing. Seamless transition between webpages, landing pages and blog content. Full integration of Hubspot Marketing tools (CTAs, Forms, Campaigns, etc.). Everything I need to engage new prospects with just ONE login!
What do you dislike about the product?
Very little! There is room to improve internal page organization by giving options to create a folder hierarchy that I create.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company sells digital commerce services and previously used WordPress for our website. After using Hubspot for our CRM for 2 years we added Hubspot Marketing and realized that everything would be SO much more efficient if we had our site on HubSpot as well. We migrated (which Hubspot actually did for us - and they did a pixel perfect job!) and the efficiencies were incredible - no more hopping between platforms. But more than that, you have access to all the Marketing engagement tools you need while your creating new pages or content - CTA's, Forms and even Smart rules that let you personalize content, Form & module behavior based on many different triggers such as current visitor (assuming they're known), location, etc. - you can create all these while still working in the CMS. Another huge benefit is the ability to easily modify page templates. When I say easily I mean you don't need to have any development skills to add new content areas to your template. Hubspot has created an excellent user interface for managing templates so no more waiting for the tech team to add a 1X4 grid to your homepage template!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use HubSpot CMS together with HubSpot Marketing & CRM - it's a very powerful combination.
