Great reporting

  • May 17, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lots of varied training modules to role out to staff. When starting here employees were tired of long boring training, we were able to change this with KB4 training. The inside man training is very well received.
What do you dislike about the product?
Mostly we don't have too many issues here however, the Active Directory integration can be a little clunky and we have mainly taken to manually creating accounts and adding to groups now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I do believe that people are using their training actively, being more vigilant with emails and reporting suspicious emails using the Phish Alert Reporting Outlook add-in frequently.

Great cybersecurity training courses for all staff

  • May 14, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The courses are well-created to familiarize all staff with security-related concepts and how to avoid falling victims to hackers. The courses are including questions that keep the audience engaged. KnowBe4 is sending you messages with the latest cyber attacks.
What do you dislike about the product?
The courses might seem a little boring to IT professionals with cybersecurity knowledge. It will be great if there is an option to skip all the material and just answer the questions to validate knowledge without watching the videos.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using KnowBe4 in our organization to make sure that all employees are familiar with basic cybersecurity principles and act more mindfully to protect the company.

The Gold Standard in Security Awareness Training

  • May 13, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful feature of KnowBe4 is the ability to use metrics to track your users' progress.
What do you dislike about the product?
KnowBe4 is constantly improving and I don't have any dislikes at the moment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem we are solving by using KnowBe4 is improving our security posture by focusing on our employees' knowledge. Giving the users computer-based training and actively testing their knowledge by sending them a simulated phishing email is crucial to our program. This allows the users to realize the importance of the training material, which helps us reach our goals. It also gives users knowledge that they otherwise might not have learned on their own and gives a better understanding of essential security awareness habits that they can take with them.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend KnowBe4 to any organization looking to improve its security awareness training program. The tool is easy to use and implement. It has great content for training and the ability to customize your phishing campaigns. Their reporting tool makes it easy to analyze the metrics of your program and helps to organize reports for progress meetings. If this is your first time implementing a security awareness training, their fantastic support team is there willing to help every step of the way.

Effective Security Training

  • May 13, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Most critically, employees liked the training, they were engaged and spoke about it with their colleagues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, in terms of off the self training, there was little to dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The primary problem was having an effective training program that is trackable for compliance purposes. The benefits are improved user actions and a drop in spam interactions.

KnowBe4 is the Best!

  • April 29, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that the platform is continually updated at no additional cost to the customer. Professionally developed and produced training series like The Inside Man are exceptional.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the limit of 500 users to a page and that the continue buttons are only at the bottom after scrolling. However, it is a minor inconvenience. It does what I need it to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a good foundation for new hires and we currently provide monthly security awareness training. I like the series such as the Cybersecurity Heroes, but there could be more like that developed and that would be nice. I understand the ability to change the questions in the quizzes will be available soon and the ability to add quizzes to the video modules. It would be nice to be able to strip quizzes as well to use as optional learning videos.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Due diligence on what others are offering you is imperative. If they say they have over 1,000 phishing templates, have them show you. If they say they have over 500 videos, have them show you. If they say they have a video showing users how to Report Phish using their button, have them show you. KnowBe4 does all of that and more.

KnowBe4 Training

  • April 28, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The Inside Man series of IT security training was great for both IT users and regular employees. I have people every day that ask when the next series is coming out.
What do you dislike about the product?
The training program was a little less intuitive to set up than our current platform. Still very good but others in our team decided to go to a different platform to try it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have gotten a higher response to IT Security training because of the videos and Inside Man series compared to other programs we have used in the past. This has helped with regulatory concerns.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The Inside Man series is loved by employees but some of the longer videos were annoying to watch.

One of the rare products that just plain works

  • April 07, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training is somewhat of a misnomer, in my opinion. It's not that it doesn't do "Security Awareness" training, it's just that it does *so much more*.

I have used KB4 for several years now. I always liked it, but I didn't realize how great it was until their competition tried to sell me their products. I reviewed options from all the big names and did demos with all.

I won't bore everyone with all the details but just one example. One of the major competitors (that charges 3x the price, by the way) tried to show me how to set up custom training (uploading our own videos and assigning to users) on their product. After *45 minutes* on a demo call with three of their people, I said "Can I show you how I do this in KnowBe4?" They said sure. I set up the exact same training (because I had given it to them as an example) in *under 3 minutes*. They were flabbergasted and asked if I could do it again with them recording it so they could show it to their engineers.
Even after the 45 minutes setup, the competitor wouldn't be able to do a whole laundry list of things I just take for granted with KB4. One example is tracking started but incomplete training. KB4 does this with *all* training. The competition can only tell me if the user has clicked the link.

KB4 is the ultimate "set it and forget it" tool that just keeps working. In a way, I kind of feel bad. Like, shouldn't I be interacting with this more? I go there to check Phish Training results. Everything is still running and just keeps right on going. No glitches, no errors, it just works.

Training of all kinds is assigned automatically to new users. New users are automatically added to training groups. Phishing "clickers" are automatically added to remedial training.
Records are kept flawlessly and conveniently. Managers are notified if desired. Users get reminders.

Best of all, as the example above shows, it's just *so dang easy*. If there's a task in KB4 that takes 5 minutes, I don't know what it is.

There are very few products anymore that do what they say and do it easily, flawlessly and beautifully. KnowBe4 does.
Honestly, it's worth the full price we pay if it were *nothing but phishing training*, but it's so, so much more.

What's more, is this is a company that really understands customer service. They stay in touch just enough to head of questions and concerns and let you know they're there, but not enough to be annoying. The sales are low pressure and the assigned account managers have always been attentive and friendly.
There are a lot of companies out there that could really learn from KnowBe4.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only major complaint, which is just about to be remedied (it's in BETA), is that they don't yet support SCIM user provisioning. This is the *one thing* that's keeping my users on an on-premise Active Directory.
I'm slightly irritated about the various levels and what you get for each (Smart Groups requires an upgrade, but it's worth it) but everything that I don't like is small potatoes compared to the benefits.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company is required to be CMMC (NIST 800-171) compliant, which requires some standard and also custom training, plus any modern company would be foolish to not train their users on email phishing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ask the right questions of the competitors. Make sure they can not just do what you need "in theory" but in practice.
We use a very well knows Email Security product that also offers "Phishing Training" that included *for free* with the product. I don't even use it and even if I didn't use KB4 for anything else, I'd rather pay them that use the "free" product from the other people.
"We can do that." doesn't always mean you'll *want* to do it.
