Grammarly Didn't Make Me Lazy—It Made Me Better
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Grammarly is that it helps me catch the small mistakes that could make a big impact—especially in professional settings. It doesn't just correct my writing; it helps me understand why something needs fixing. I was worried I might rely on it too much and stop learning, but the opposite happened. I’ve become more aware of my grammar, spelling, and word choices, and I feel more confident in my writing. Simply put, Grammarly helps me communicate clearly and keeps me from looking like an idiot.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only gripe is that little green ‘G’ icon—it sometimes blocks what I’m trying to click or edit. Even when I move it, it usually comes right back. Not a dealbreaker, but it can be annoying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Grammarly helps me catch grammar, spelling, and punctuation mistakes that I might otherwise overlook—especially when I’m moving fast or writing a lot. It also suggests better word choices and helps me tighten up my sentences. This is incredibly helpful both professionally and personally because it ensures my writing is clear, polished, and mistake-free. It gives me confidence that I’m presenting myself well and not making errors that could be distracting or make me look careless.
Enhances writing
What do you like best about the product?
Grammarly helps with simple things like small edits, as well as rewording sentences and even paragraphs. It is easy to install and usually works well with Microsoft Word and sometimes Microsoft Outlook.
What do you dislike about the product?
Grammarly has a hard time with Microsoft Outlook - the red underlines appear several inches from the word they are referring to. I'm not sure how to fix this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Grammarly helps me write more clearly and without grammatical or spelling errors.

Grammarly has some bugs when it comes to AI-detection of text segments. It also can't handle more than 10 pages for grammar correction, which make it unsuitable for long documents

I write well, but Grammarly helps me refine my writing with regard to tone. It also helps with grammar and punctuation. The cost is minimal for the amount of help it provides.

The way corrections sometimes appear when writing can be distracting.

Great service to keep your writing error free with appropriate tones for various situations
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Grammarly will analyze entire sentences and propose alternative wording to soften the tone, make it more professional, more personal, etc. the built in software I've used typically falls short and only catches misspelling or grammar errors.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, when you go to hover over something that Grammarly has identified for optimization, the info box with the proposed corrections won't show up until you click out of the page or application and come back.

It’s been a great experience. I truly enjoy Grammarly on my Mac.

It’s helped be write accurate and concise emails catching typos and errors as well as making great suggestions on my writing.

The only concern I have is that Grammarly is quite expensive especially when it’s not something I can expense at work. Otherwise there isn’t much to complain about, I’m enjoying the experience.

What do you like best about the product?
Grammarly has significantly improved my writing style, boosting both the clarity and flow of my work. Since using it, I've noticed a big difference in the way I structure my sentences. The tool helps me avoid repetitive language and find more engaging, precise word choices. It's also been invaluable in making my writing more concise and professional, which is especially important for my papers. I feel much more confident in my writing.

I do not have any dislikes about Grammarly.

The perfect tool for writing better and fluently
What do you like best about the product?
It’s so easy to use and provides lots of insightful tips to write in a more fluent and authentic manner. It’s the perfect tool to write better, even for people fluent in the language. I use it daily in many tools like Email, Slack, Docs as it is easily integrated.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user dashboard where we store documents could be improved (eg. folders). Sometimes the Grammarly icon is placed in an inconvenient places on top of other important text instead of a blank/unused area.

One Less Thing to Stress About as a Grad student
What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Grammarly for a while now, and it's become one of my go-to tools for graduate school and everyday writing. As a grad student, it's helped me catch grammar and punctuation issues I’ve missed, especially when juggling family and working on assignments. I love that it proofreads everything in depth and in APA formatting!
What I like most is how it gives suggestions that make my writing clearer without changing my voice. I also appreciate the tone detector—it’s helped me sound professional in academic papers but still approachable in discussion posts.

What do you dislike about the product?
It’s not perfect, and sometimes I choose to ignore a suggestion if it doesn’t fit what I’m trying to say, but overall it’s been a great support tool. I’d definitely recommend it for students, professionals, or anyone who just wants to clean up their writing a little more confidently.

It helps me to make sure my graduate-level work is accurate and on top of grammatical errors and errors from APA formatting.
