Easy, simple and useful
What do you like best about the product?
The search feature helps a lot to find nodes that had changed the original name in new updates and to know new nodes that hadn't existed in the previous versions. This is my first experience with automation, and I self-hosted it on my PC. With the help of AI (Gemini), I managed to configure a very useful automation to help me start a new project that will unleash the full potential of my final personal objective.
The n8n forum is very friendly and easy to use, too.
It had a lot of nodes, and if you can't find any node that meets your needs, you can install programs like pandoc, poppler, and tesseract-OCR on your computer, then access them with the nodes CODE and EXCECUTE COMMAND.
With the node HTTP REQUEST, you can access cloud APIs like Adobe's API and others, but I didn't dive so much into this node because the local solutions met my needs.

What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice to have it localized to my native language, Brazilian Portuguese.
And it was hard to find the link to download and install the n8n version that can be used as self-hosted.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed an automation process fast and reliable to convert some files for me when I put them in a designated folder.
Now I have a n8n self-hosted that convert documents, PDF and PNG-OCR to a format that I need to fully achieve my objectives.

Little free license time for the cloud service. It is necessary to test the functionality connected to the internet for more time.

technical, concise but also flexible. What you don't find probably you can add it up. And the community is great!

I think it's a little slow (or at least this is the impression). I'd add it up some control systems to better understand where to put your changes in order to increase speed. Also kinda logging and tech docs (like number of machine cycle each module, or language choose or whatever else I could decide while putting things together)

n8n completely transformed the way I think about automation. I love how flexible and powerful it is — I can connect virtually any API, handle complex workflows, and automate tasks across my entire tech stack without writing a single line of code. And when I do want to go deeper, the ability to use JavaScript, webhooks, and custom functions makes it a dream for developers too. It’s the perfect blend of no-code and full-code.

There’s a bit of a learning curve at the start, especially if you’re coming from simpler tools like Zapier. But once you understand the data model and expression syntax, the possibilities feel limitless. What seemed complex at first now feels empowering.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I’m using n8n to automate internal business processes, generate AI-based content for social media, sync local and cloud tools, and even create lightweight microservices. Its self-hosting capability is a game-changer for privacy-sensitive environments — I stay in full control without vendor lock-in or subscription traps.
The N8N is a platform which is easy to design a automation workflow without coding.

The N8N having a simple UI to let user can design their workflow. Also, it is east to know which node is working fail when the workflow failed. It also already integrated with multiple service which makes you east to integrate with other service.

The n8n's function is limited by UI designed and the mainly program language is rely on JS.

I use N8N to automation the workflow with LLM(OpenAI, Claude, etc). It can reduce the time to program with program language.

- Learning curve , even there are resources but most of resource are not free except those whoo alredy are on n8n website

n8n allows you to automate and eliminate repetitive tasks, allows you to create complex or simple backend logic, allows you to integrate any application, and makes it very easy to develop small applications and internal tools in very little time. it is a tool that over the years will probably become a standard. I use it every day for myself, my company, and my clients. simple to install and configure. simple to integrate.

I love every aspect of n8n. it's constantly evolving, there's nothing I don't like.

We have created automations for automated social posts, boto chats in telegram or whatsapp, we use it to generate content automatically, we use it to integrate various applications with each other, and these are just a few examples.
