Jump Cloud’s MDM Policy Management Makes Multi-Device Admin Easy
What do you like best about the product?
The features I like as an Admin of Jump Cloud is MDM (especially policies management) as it helps me in managing all the device types. Additionally, it's SaaS and Asset Management are cherry on the cake.
What do you dislike about the product?
After pushing policies in rare cases it generates incorrect logs that creates an issue for me to finalize if the policy was pushed successfully or not.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before using this product, we use to manage Windows, MAC and linux devices separately but now with the help of JumpCloud we can manage all device types in same platform along side it's policy management.
Centralized Identity & Device Management Made Easy with JumpCloud
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud provides a centralized platform to manage users, devices, and access control across cloud and on-prem environments. I particularly appreciate the ease of implementation and the unified identity management approach. The interface is intuitive, policy management is straightforward, and integrations with SSO, MFA, and device management simplify operations. It reduces dependency on traditional AD infrastructure while maintaining strong security controls.
What do you dislike about the product?
While JumpCloud is feature-rich, advanced configurations and troubleshooting sometimes require deeper documentation or support involvement. Reporting and audit logs could be more granular and customizable. In larger environments, policy management can become complex, and clearer visibility into policy inheritance and conflicts would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud is solving the challenge of managing user identities and access centrally without relying on traditional on-prem Active Directory infrastructure. It allows us to control authentication, enforce security policies, and manage user lifecycle processes (onboarding, role changes, offboarding) from a single cloud-based directory.
This significantly reduces operational overhead, improves security through centralized MFA and access controls, and ensures consistent policy enforcement across systems and applications. It has streamlined identity governance while supporting a distributed and cloud-first environment.

Unified Cloud Identity & Device Management with Centralized Control Across OSes
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about JumpCloud is that it combines identity management and device management into a single, cloud-based platform. It makes it easy to manage users, enforce security policies, and control access across Windows, macOS, and Linux without needing on-prem infrastructure. It’s especially helpful for mixed or remote environments where centralized control and visibility are important.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about JumpCloud is that some key features—like user provisioning from external IdPs—aren’t as seamless as they are in dedicated IAM tools, and certain workflows can feel fragmented compared to more mature platforms. The UI can also be a bit overwhelming at first, and when you get into advanced configurations, it sometimes takes a lot of digging to find the right settings or you end up needing to use the API. Overall, it’s a powerful product, but it isn’t always as intuitive or streamlined as it could be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud is helping us centralize device management across our environment without relying on traditional on-prem infrastructure. It allows us to manage policies, enforce security settings, and maintain visibility over Windows and macOS devices from a single cloud console. This simplifies administration, improves security consistency, and makes onboarding and ongoing device management much more efficient.
User-Friendly MDM with Stellar Support
What do you like best about the product?
I like how simple and easy the interface of JumpCloud is. I really like how involved the team is too. The support team is very helpful and able to help troubleshoot and increase our efficiency. It's valuable for remote support and connecting with users, allowing us to see the specs and health of our Macs.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing that I think JumpCloud could be better with is the hybrid AD join. We're trying to incorporate that into our environment, and it just seems to not work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud solves our MDM needs, manages inventory, offers remote support, and helps us connect with users. It's useful for seeing Mac specs and health, similar to Jamf.
Lightweight Mac MDM that can grow with you.
What do you like best about the product?
Simple Mac MDM, truly makes it easy to manage these things without having to set up a heavier solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
The AD sync program doesnt have a good control panel, you have to like reinstall it to change anything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
being blind to our Mac users, we have a small Mac footprint, and this is lightweight and easy enough that im glad to use it for this small amount of users. it was more of a pain we wouldnt bother.
Simplified Mobile Management with Real-Time Deployment
What do you like best about the product?
I like JumpCloud for mobile device management because it keeps all our devices managed in one platform. I find the custom commands and the ability to deploy in real time particularly valuable. We can create custom commands for our devices and send them on a trigger, a delay, schedule, or immediately. This leads to faster corrections, troubleshooting, and deployment. The setup of JumpCloud was easy and very well coordinated between the JumpCloud team and our team.
What do you dislike about the product?
The part that doesn't work well is actually something that is not JumpCloud, but Chocolatey. The inclusion of this feature is nice, but the binding of these community-managed software sometimes leads to errors in versions or updates, and we are less aware or involved as a result.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud keeps all our devices managed in one platform. Creating custom commands allows for real-time deployment and troubleshooting, leading to faster corrections.
Simplifies Device & User Management Seamlessly
What do you like best about the product?
I like the unified management console in JumpCloud that allows me to simplify all of the IT-related tasks. It also makes managing policies across different OS versions possible. I am getting excellent value out of JumpCloud as it is.
What do you dislike about the product?
pricing model is often unclear
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JumpCloud to manage a fleet of devices from different vendors, simplify IT tasks, and provide seamless authentication for users. It solves problems like user and device management, access controls, and security.
Easy-to-Navigate UI with Powerful Cross-Platform Device Management
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is easy to navigate, it offers many features to managing your devices, both for Mac and Windows. The administrative part of the job and deploying the agent is relatively straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
It could take some trial and error when it comes to deploying 3rd party apps through JumpCloud... remote commands, especially longer ones, take longer to deploy and could delay testing. We had some issues with agents stop communicating with the management console and had to do a full uninstall and install to get online again. When you run a fully remote business - that could be proven challenging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
remote MDM, managing laptop fleet
Reliable Active Directory Solution with Competitive Pricing
What do you like best about the product?
I like JumpCloud for its ability to fulfill the active directory needs of the agency. It's very reliable and priced competitively compared to other similar companies. I appreciate how it helps keep our PCs secure and allows us to push companywide policies to all devices. The ability to remotely access our other office PCs for troubleshooting is a large time and money-saving tool that I really appreciate. Having our devices as part of an active directory allows us to manage security with password and MFA settings, lets us quickly check the status of devices, and quickly lock out a device if it is lost or stolen.
What do you dislike about the product?
At our agency all users are setup with at least two monitors, when remotely connected it would be nice to be able to have an option to view both monitors at the other end of the connection at the same time instead of having to switch back and forth between the monitors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JumpCloud to manage security through password and MFA settings, push companywide policies, and remotely troubleshoot, saving time and money.
Easy Credential Management and Smooth Google Workspace Migration
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of credential management in the platform. Migrating the assets from Google Workspace to JumpCloud's platform was particularly simple. I also liked being able to manage access to computer devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
Writing and implementing scripts were not always the easiest or intuitive. I was never fully able to integrate the remote login function, either.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asset management and SSO-like features were the primary reasons we signed up for a contract.
