It's a fantastic tool
What do you like best about the product?
It is much better than active directory, it supercedes my expectations and I am consistently happy with how useful all the tools and functions are. It has replaced many tools we were previously using.

The search function when finding device names struggles with multiple key words.

Jumpcloud provides easy-to-use SSO configurations for many platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the script templates are not up to date. Especially on MacOS, not all the scripts work on the later versions of the OS.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jumpcloud provided an all-in-one cloud identity provider that made it easy to have SSO across all of our platforms and solid device management for our organisation.organization
A helpful tool, with the potential to be an invaluable one
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to centrally manage a domainless environment is absolutely crucial in any modern IT department. Having the ability to deploy software, enforce policy, and run commands with broad brushstrokes is essential.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are elements of JumpCloud that still need further development; flexibility in criteria when automating group creation is one such area. Further development needs to be done for update automation, particularly on macOS. There are certain elements of the admin console that effectively do more or less what I need them to, but perhaps not as efficiently or flexibly as I'd like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had no domain or centralized control over our workstation fleet. JumpCloud allows us that control.
Integration
What do you like best about the product?
Implementation was simplified and easy to follow and track as an administrator. For our organization we were able to view devices policy adoption and user progress.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be a bit tedious and some information was entered a few times, autofill some portions that don't change and are uniform for the entire process. Was an issue with some programs linking or being viewed as active so had to reach out to support
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we needed a mobile device management tool to ensure we were compliant and had policies in place to put in oversights vital for our contracts currently in place.

They also offer services such as password management and MFA.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jumpcloud isn't a one-for-one replacement of AD, so certain features aren't there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've had great success using jumpcloud for Appple Mac computer login and management.
A Game Changer for IT
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of onboarding users on jump cloud vs using a domain controller on-premise or cloud base. No more having to access a virtual machine to add a user and modify the user account.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its a little pricey per user; usually, enterprise-level companies prefer other cloud domain controllers because of unlimited users. Yes, initial the cost for a cloud domain controller is a lot, but you don't have to worry in the next few years that your company will grow, and so will your AD monthly fees.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ease of creating or migrating a AD with our VM.
Jumpcloud has been a great tool for managing a remote workforce
What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud is always developing new features for a remote-first workforce.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost can add up, as the service is on a per user basis.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jumpcloud has been integral for managing our directory services, privileged access, single sign on, and user provision services.
Solid MDM product with good support and feature cadence
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud is a solid suite of MDM tools. It's been really useful in terms of managing our devices and security across the business.
What do you dislike about the product?
No real downsides. Sometimes the UX can be a little complicated, but it's a powerful tool, so that's to be expected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing our devices as they come in to the business, installing software and remote management.
They make it easy
What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud makes it easy to get signed up and running. It only takes a few minutes to get a cloud-based LDAP server up and integrated into an application. Easier than testing all of the open-source alternatives.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not really a jumpcloud issue, but more of just the issues getting 3rd party applications using LDAP in sync with what jumpcloud sends back and organizes the directory.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rather than upgrade on-prem systems, it was easier to go with cloud-based to make it easier to integrate other third-party applications and have all authentication in one place.
