Jumpcloud is a good cloud directory platform
What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud makes it possible to have people work all over and be managed by a small team
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it had more functionality, like remote desktop, third party patching
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We do not have to have Azure AD, or another directory
Ease of access and management
What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud makes it so easy to manage all of your users, sync with active directory, and provision anything you might need to workstations. Takes all of the guess work out of administration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes changes in JumpCloud (password, user, etc.) can take a bit of time to apply; sometimes takes 2 restarts of the workstation in order for the changes to register. Other than that, great piece of software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud keeps all of my users centralized and makes ease of access a breeze. No longer do I need to go into the server to add a guest user - I can do that straight from the dashboard.
Highly Modular Offerings, Top Notch API
What do you like best about the product?
The modular options for their services. You can buy what you need, and not pay for what you don't need. Their API is also top notch. Well documented and works great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Application updates (e.g. Zoom client etc) could be better supported. Right now only OS and web browser updates are supported. I'd also like to the option of forcing an OS update via policy, not just pestering a user after the continue to ignore the update.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provding a multi-OS MDM product, with the addition of a Cloud LDAP service we can use for VPN authentication. I also appreciate their Command feature so we can write script to deploy software.
Great MFA software for teams
What do you like best about the product?
This is a very simple to use product that allows you to add users to different teams based on their need to access information.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've not had any issues thus far to make me dislike the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are assisting a client that had a data breach and this product is helping tighten up their security.
Very good overall experience with JumpCloud
What do you like best about the product?
Documentation. All features are well documented, with detailed and accurate walkthroughs for the most important tasks.
Customer support is very quick.
Customer support is very quick.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some logs are not very user-friendly (for example, device agent logs have errors that are irrelevant, and some logs with user actions are not always clear, which makes it harder for troubleshooting).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us obtain SOC2 compliance, as it covers many SOC2 requirements.
Device management made easy
What do you like best about the product?
We use JumpCloud for active device management in a single platform. The tool has been easy to implement and provides a much-needed service for our IT management team!
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing so far! We found the initial onboarding period to take a little bit longer than anticipated but otherwise very easy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use JumpCloud for unified device management across our entire company to streamline on and off boarding for new users.
Good not Great
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud is easy to use and provides great instructions and documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to have more built-in granular control of not only devices but integrated services settings
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to provide secure access to business systems
We can monitor and control devices on a surface level
We are able to more easily onboard and offboard users

Very useful for managing laptops with SSO
What do you like best about the product?
I love how well JumpCloud integrates with Otta. We use it to sync all user accounts and deploy the JumpCloud agent on all our devices. Then, to assign a device, all we have to do is bind the device to the user, and the local account is made automatically and will sync the windows password with the user's okta password. Very useful and saves us a lot of time during equipment setup.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very little, the UI is easy to use, and JC is a very powerful tool. It can be somewhat challenging to get scripts and program setup configurations done exactly right to automate deploying new machines.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JC is massively simplifying the new device setup process for us and enables us to sync our SSO passwords and policies to the local password on each employee's device
could be better
What do you like best about the product?
the tool has potencial for internal integrations, a post command would be great
What do you dislike about the product?
Premium Support also is not technical deeper in troubleshooting
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
device governance for mac and windows with cloud ldap
Streamlined User & Device Management
What do you like best about the product?
I like JumpCloud's simple SSO and the user interface that make user management easier. The laptop agent for managing MacBooks is particularly useful for me, saving me countless hours setting up laptops and deploying devices. I also appreciate that JumpCloud combines user management and device management, which was a key reason for switching from previous solutions like OneLogin and Addigy MDM. The initial setup was super easy, which is a great plus.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial setup of JumpCloud could be more straightforward, especially during the QR code and 'I Already have an app' portion. Many iPhone users mistakenly scan the QR code with their camera, similar to how they would scan a restaurant menu. It needs to be easier to understand for less tech-savvy users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud streamlines IT user management, device management, and deployment. It simplifies onboarding and offboarding, saving me countless hours in setting up and deploying laptops.
