AD is not the way for everyone. MFA on Linux/Mac and Win is HUGE!
What do you like best about the product?
We work in a media-centric environment, we move and catalog media assets all day long. This environment is best suited by utilizing Mac laptops and Linux servers. We have very few PC devices. We realized that Active Directory and a couple domain controllers were not appropriate for our environment, too much overhead, too little to gain. Then we found Jumpcloud, our directory service in the cloud. Jumpcloud gave us a huge amount of flexibility when it came to what types of devices we can support without having to take care of domain controllers.
What do you dislike about the product?
As JC continues to roll out more features, figuring out how to implement everything fully can feel a bit daunting. There have been times when I’ve reached out to support with questions and specific use-case scenarios. They aren’t always the fastest, but they do respond. The documentation is also solid and, importantly, it isn’t obscured by marketing hype, so it’s easy to find and use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work with a team that needs access to assets located on-prem. The team is also split between remote and on-prem staff. By using a simple feature to set up a RADIUS server in the cloud (and I really do mean simple), you can configure your corporate firewall VPN to allow access for specific teams while requiring them to use 2FA to get onto the network. From there, JC controls credential-level access to each machine they’re assigned, and you can also enable 2FA at the machine level. Overall, JC helps address some of my security issues and does so effectively.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use to manage Macs and PCs. Can run commands easily from the console
What do you dislike about the product?
Some issues not sure if its related to Jump Cloud or our Mac provider, but not every mac has been completely hands off. But getting it installed is still easy too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to manage our devices and retreive or wipe if we let the users keep. We can also deploy our security systems remotely for all of our devices
Great product & Company
What do you like best about the product?
We have been using JumpCloud for about 2 years now for both in-house work along with our customers and the product is easy to use and the support is great has alot of great Features and is very easy to setup and use
What do you dislike about the product?
We have not found any issues that would cause us to not like the product/service
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have users we work with that do not have onsite or cloud based AD and we need the same level of securty as having an onsite AD and JumpCloud allows us to do this cloud based
Ease of use and highly demanded in the market
What do you like best about the product?
First and foremost, JumpCloud offers a service, Radius, that not many companies provide. Our company needed a quick, easy, and affordable soultion for Radius Authentication using our current Azure AD Cloud Domain. JumpCloud hit the head on the nail and provided a great service. I also like how when there is any problem, their team is diligent and work the issue out with ongoging communication. After implementation, we now use this regularly in our main office. The implementation of the system was easy to setup and get configured to our Azure AD tenancy.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had a difficult problem to manage as it seemed that our users always needed to be added to the radius group again overtime. However, JumpCloud resolved this issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its main purpose is for Radius authentication. Allowing us to securly connect to our in office wifi using company credentials rather than a unique WPA2 key.
JC Value vs. Worth
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud is great in theory - but, it's definitely not the easiest to maneuver around. Also, what's with all of the stark price increases?! It's a hard thing to sell and quite possibly looking at other routes for an MDM solution..
What do you dislike about the product?
Figuring out how to actually implement is left to be desired. I have the hardest time with the processes between the different OS's. I try it one way and it works. Then I try again the next day the same exact way and it breaks everything. I've had multiple meetings with our specialist and I think I can get a better grasp, and then I learn on my own or through the chat that the process is actually completely different. It's so frustrating. Like I said, I love the idea of JumpCloud, I just wish it was easier to operate.

Good performance for Windows
What do you like best about the product?
- It works very well for both Windows and MacOS devices.
- It is easy to create different policies and groups to segment devices as needed for the organization.
- It is an easy to understand and start using tool for end device management.
- Integration with applications such as OKTA works very well.
- The large amount of manuals and guides available on how it works or how to configure something in Jumpcloud.
- Deployment is usually easy if you start from 0 or already have many devices in the organization, it can just take time to deploy the MDM.
- Customer service has been very responsive when we have needed them.
- The daily use in end device management is simple and fast.
- It is easy to create different policies and groups to segment devices as needed for the organization.
- It is an easy to understand and start using tool for end device management.

- When the SSO performs the password change Jumpcloud does not do it automatically on the computer and can leave a person without access.
- Not being able to export policy users or device specific information.

Manage the organization's devices through MDM, managing to apply policies and users to each device
Great user experience
What do you like best about the product?
We really enjoy to using it as a pass manager between google and Azure AD

It's a little difficult to change between anual and monthtly payment

A very few tools doesn't have JumpCloud SSO integration.

JumpCloud provides a centralized platform for managing user identities across various systems, applications, and networks. With JumpCloud's SSO capabilities, users can access multiple applications and services with just one set of credentials.
Solid SSO Platform for mid-sized companies
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud is great in that it works well for the company that I work for. We utilize it for service partners as well as our own internal directory. Jumpcloud is great at handling and placing multiple applications into one easy to use interface! I use it on a daily basis and it was easy to get used to from the get to. I would highly recommend it to others.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being a web app, there are certain limitations to usage and access, however, whenever there has been a minor issue, I have been able to work with our internal IT to mitigate the issue(s).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jumpcloud solves IAM, cloud directory services, password policy enforcement, remote support, SSO, and provisioning all in one app. It benefits me from having to work with multiple people or interfaces. I can handle most, if not all things in the same interface which is great.
