Great Tool, Good Support
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud is a great endpoint management tool which allows you to extend your current identity provider infrastructure to your endpoints. With our remote rollout, JumpCloud quickly allowed us to deploy password protected endpoints, with encryption and native 2FA. We now have an almost 100% remote workforce and we rest easy knowing out endpoints are protected and secure.
The policies are useful to ensure that endpoints are installing updates, have appropriate screen locks, and also to enforce Bitlocker encryption w/ the recovery keep available in the UI. We also integrated with Duo for a super easy 2FA rollout.

What do you dislike about the product?
JumpCloud runs powershell scripts to perform a lot of the policies. We had to be careful to whitelist the JC processes, as well as directories from AV. This was a little but of a pain at first.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are encryption remote endpoints, extending AD to remote endpoints, and ensuring our password policy is enforced out of the office. We don't want or use a traditional VPN to keep our network safe - so JumpCloud fills the gap.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Excellent tool for user and systems management of a remote workforce.
Simplifies account management both for admin and users.
What do you like best about the product?
Provides a central and unified account management for admins. All access and user accounts can be controlled from one system. The ability to enable MFA increases the level of security. Being compatible with different OS is also a big plus.
What do you dislike about the product?
A simplified payment/billing process would be much nicer compared to the current system in place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a lot of systems that different users need access to. Sometimes the same user needs access to different systems. In the past we would have to create an account individually on those systems (Not AD joined) and have to manage those account individually on the systems. This was very time consuming, repetitive and inefficient. With JumpCloud, we install the JumpCloud agent on the machines, import the users from our O365 and grant them access to the needed system/systems. We also leverage the System Group and User Group function to better manage access control. The process is very quick and easy with JumpCloud. And we now have one central place where all user accounts and access can be controlled.
Flexible, supportive, and easy to use endpoint management system across all OS's.
What do you like best about the product?
The support organization over at JumpCloud is absolutely fantastic all the way from the sales pitch to our CSM Abbie and Account Exec Mark, all our questions and support requests get answered timely and successfully. We picked JumpCloud mainly because it's a newer player that is consistently improving it's product with user feedback, and most importantly they have support for macOS, Windows, and Linux. They have great API documentation along with a Powershell module client to really expand the abilities above of what they show on the UI. The deployment process is also very easy with simple to implement terminal commands.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't really like using Powershell on my Mac machine, so maybe a CLI that's written in a platform agnostic way would be a bit more helpful. Could use a lot more policy configurations on Linux, but I know they're working on it. I would like other integrations into SIEM tools without having to use AWS or writing my own log exporter.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed an endpoint management system to comply with PCI DSS and HITRUST requirements. I've realized that their system has not only improved our device deployments, but also significantly increased our security posture.
Fantastically modern and simple to use
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of adding new devices, along with being able to manage and monitor both windows and mac devices. Also not being dependent on a VPN or similar.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very few things that I've found, its working perfectly so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mobile first workforce that can't always be connected to a VPN for user authentication combined with supporting windows and mac devices in a single platform.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have a highly mobile workforce, or are working from home, this is the best investment you can make.
JumpCloud: One size fits all!
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud is platform agnostic. You can manage Windows, Mac and Linux computers.
What do you dislike about the product?
I could use more reporting customization and I'd love to be able to apply a label or a comment to a device or a user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can manage access to an heterogeneous IT environment without any domains.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I've found everything I needed to manage our IT architecture.
The one cloud directory service to rule them all
What do you like best about the product?
The most essential part of Jumpcloud is the cross-platform capability to work on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love to see commands run on a Multi-Tennant level versus each client enrolled.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jumpcloud solves the identity management and policy updates to multiple systems across different platforms. Whether that's lockout policies or management of encryption keys it has a lot to offer
LDAP made simple to get up and running quickly
What do you like best about the product?
I like the interface that makes it easy to see your assets at a glance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Bulk changes should be made easier. Exporting options are not robust.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems with onboarding are being solved quickly through ease of use of the tool. LDAP knowledge for junior engineers are not needed to get them started with administrating the tool. Managing assets have gotten easier with the ability to run remote commands and to lock out users as needed.
Jumpcloud Review
What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud is a very versatile system that is constantly getting updated. It works as an SSO solution, and is one of the only products I've found that is able to centrally control user logins on Macs and PC's in environments not using centralized active directory services.
What do you dislike about the product?
It needs more integrations for SSO and LDAP services, but I know this is something they're working on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Benefits are vast, the best feature is centrally controlling computer logins.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
No specific recommendations, utilize Jumpcloud support if you're trying to integrate and running into issues. They have an excellent engineering and support team.
Modern directory as a service to manage distributed teams over multiple continents
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and Learning curve in Jumpcloud is so easy, You can get started with simple Jumpcloud setup in just few minutes, unlike Active Directory. Apart from just a directory as a service its truly amazing a single sign-on solution that covers almost all the modern and legacy integrations like Jira, Git, LDAP, Google, Slack, Newrelic, Jenkins(LDAP), Grafana(LDAP) just to name a few.
What do you dislike about the product?
In general, there is nothing huge to dislike about jumpcloud is priced well for a such a complete solution. They have been constantly improving and adding features as we requested to them over the past 4-5 years.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to manage teams distributed over 3 continent and jumpcloud really came in to save all the hassle of maintaining the active directory and security aspect for use. It's not just cheap in its pricing but also saves hours of work that you otherwise put in managing your local directory and again that would be just directory jumpcloud is much more than that for us thanks to its integrations with almost all the modern services and protocols commonly used.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want to take most out of jumpcloud, try to integrate all the possible services with jumpcloud, including your systems and SaaS. It truly becomes a marvelous solution when you don't have to log in to 20 different accounts.
JumpCloud, the tool for a better IT life
What do you like best about the product?

What do you dislike about the product?
We need more easy access when I see the PC used by the user and I can't see the information because You have to look for the PC in Systems...It's low
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I made a script for all plataforms for the agent's installation and other software and policies.
