I am generally please, not sure about how deep JumpCloud can go
What do you like best about the product?
It is pretty cheap and helps me for compliance with ISO 27001. Installation was easy, customer service was very responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't know how I can create custom policies (documentation). Also, don't think JumpCloud policies work well through the warnings I receive. At some points I just cannot resolve the warnings but the results are too cryptic to add on them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Compliance with ISO 27001
Amazing Identity Provider
What do you like best about the product?
We have integrated all the company applications into Jumpcloud, which is our source of truth for every application and works smoothly. It's easy to use and we rely on it heavily in our daily operations. It has an amazing support channel.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some integrations that are very difficult to integrate with JumpCloud as IdP.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solved all the needs regarding Mobile Device Management (MDM) and end-user administration, and has also been used to provide Single Sign-On (SSO) access to almost all company solutions.
Easy Device management for MacOS
What do you like best about the product?
Provides easy onboarding and feature delivery for managing a fleet of Macs. The benefit for us was the ability to keep our existing device setups without formatting.
Customer support was really helpful with a great technical onboarding call.
Customer support was really helpful with a great technical onboarding call.
What do you dislike about the product?
The small user plan is no longer available and the device management features are mixed between two plans.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing a secure way to manage our fleet of Macs
Everything in one place
What do you like best about the product?
Device management for all device types, password manager, SAML, LDAP all in one place. Elimating the need for muliple vendors, apps and logins.
What do you dislike about the product?
would love to have an "app store" for employees to self install approvedd software
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PAM, Device management, password policy, password manager, etc.
Good economy option for MDM controls, some product design choices lack logic.
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud is a decent choice if price point is a significant factor when choosing between available MDM tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
However, be aware that some features that would significantly increase the utility/user experience are only available with more premium plans. There is a lack of intuitiveness/logic to certain design/functional aspects (for example: naming of data points/fields was poorly thought out--there are separate fields named "username" and "user name" and "local user name")--which makes using JumpCloud a frustrating experience at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I hope that JumpCloud is making changes to their product that make it more intuitive and logical.
The core of my services
What do you like best about the product?
The Jumpcloud team is anticipating how their service is positioned in the market and building smart features to grow the service.
What do you dislike about the product?
The remote desktop access is a little slow right now, but it seems to be getting better over time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Because of the scope of what they offer, I can reduce the number of tools that I have to buy.
Simple Device Management
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud is a fairly straight forward tool. Most policy management is intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
The ability to 'easily' managed a large variety of Applications for MacOS is just not up to par with competitors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud is giving me basic control over a fleet of Macbooks.
Easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
I love how simple it can be to use. There are many different, more complex, capabilities available to use but doing the simple tasks couldn't be easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can feel overwhelming to have so many tools at your disposal and can become hard to navigate at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jumpcloud is allowing us to maintain our fleet in an orderly fashion while also proving us with the ability to connect our employees to our network via radius authentication. The ability to quickly assign or unassign users to devices has been a life saver on multiple occasions.
Cloud Directory Service with Great Integration Capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of Integration and implementation, User-Friendly Interface, Cross-Platform Support, Comprehensive Documentation and Support
What do you dislike about the product?
JumpCloud works great for unified user and device management, but I’d like to see more granular reporting and faster real-time syncs with directory changes. Those small gaps sometimes make large-scale administration slower, though the product is improving quickly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud provides a unified directory service that allows for centralized management of user identities across various applications and devices. This reduces the complexity of managing multiple user directories and streamlines user provisioning and de-provisioning. Its supports a wide range of operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux. This cross-platform compatibility ensures that all devices within an organization.
