Great service for businesses

Powerful AD Alternative in the Cloud
What do you like best about the product?
The platform comes with pre-made plug 'n play policies for all major platforms. Why bind a Mac to AD when the platforms just weren't meant for one another? I can confidently say that being an IT administrator through the pandemic would have been 10x more difficult without JumpCloud. This platform lets us continue driving major roadmap projects despite a remote workforce, such as migrating to JumpCloud MDM and deploying new apps via JumpCloud commands and VPP. These are very powerful features that allow us to professionalize our IT offering leaps and bounds beyond where we were. From allowing cross-platform users to self-service password rotations to querying the environment with the fantastic Powershell Module, JumpCloud is an impressive offering that has been rock solid for our organization. The great documentation never hurts, either!
What do you dislike about the product?
While I believe JumpCloud is a fantastic platform, there's always room for improvement. As of writing this review, the grouping and overall organizational system leave a lot to be desired. For example, there's currently no means of nesting groups, and there's no real concept of OU's. All groups sit at the 'root level' of the organization, and they rely on being bound to devices, policies, or applications. We would love to have a 'Finance' group or OU and then be able to nest 'Finance-FTE', 'Finance-Contractor', etc right within that Finance group or OU. This lack of "organizational structure" is one of the few things we believe AD does handle a bit better. It's been difficult for us to organize our user and device groups this way, as we have yet to find a super effective and easily searchable naming convention for our dozens of groups.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being an IT administrator through a pandemic has been much easier with a robust and cross-platform offering like JumpCloud. We've been able to add key features to our organization, such as MDM, Zero Touch deployment, configurations/script logic, user self-service, and more, through a pandemic nonetheless! These features help us get machines into the hands of our users faster, more securely and also provide the user with a great experience.
Easy SSO and Access Control
What do you like best about the product?
The ease and speed that a user can be provisioned and assigned access to devices, systems, or services. Between Privileged Access Management and SSO integrations, we have used JumpCloud to better monitor and control access for users for our internal services and those we leverage with third parties.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of nested or subgroups for either devices or users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud has allowed us to control system and service access with a centralized approach. We have saved time in managing access and support requests by leveraging JumpCloud's PAM and SSO functionality. The support for 2FA in conjunction with SSO has relieved some of our security concerns and has allowed us to feel more at ease when integrating with other third-party services.
SSO/LDAP Authentication
What do you like best about the product?
Single Sign-On (SSO) and LDAP authentications are easy to set up with security without any data leakage. Configuration is good to compare other SSO/LDAP vendor authentication.
I like that each user has got the SSO application based on the user have the access level for mssp or non-mssp user can be easy to access the application based on the role privilege. it is fantastic for the user to manage the privacy of the data and managing the application. LDAP authentication is based on the data security binding. it is useful with the security of user have the role, group, and directory level access

What do you dislike about the product?
the configuration of LDAP authentication is difficult because documentation is not helpful for mssp tenants. I can't see the audit log monitor screen, which is useful for the user to maintain logs, it would be great if the user is login and logout the application will send the email and WebSocket notification for the security of fraud people. if it's possible to mask some privacy information for user-related it would be great for the user information security.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used many applications like Gitlab, zoom, slack, etc, which is useful for a developer point. I need to create an account based on the application, which is very difficult to manage individuals' credentials. JumpCloud has solved my problem that all the application is linked with JumpCloud and easy to manage the. Credential of the application with security without any data leakage.
it's very good the solve my application level of problem and make me easy way Development.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
I am looking for a more enhanced login authentication module with high-level security. if it's possible to show audit log screen to users. he can monitor all the logs activity and based on the allowed session per user. it would be great if will track the location of the logged users in the application and any fraud people have to try to log in to the account send the notification and blocked the account immediately.

So far, so good; our systems are simple and it just works for us
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The infrastructure to hold our own Active Directory server was simple but complex to mantain. We needed internet, a public IP address, a firewall. We decided to get rid of all that and now our life is easer.
The Best cloud identity service and so much more!
What do you like best about the product?
Honestly I've used several cloud identity platforms and Jumpcloud is one of the easiest and most user-friendly straightforward and seamless integration I have implemented in my infrastructure. I'll never go back to any other provider
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly there isn't much to dislike they provide MDM services LDAP services radius services and much more anything you would need to take care of an IT infrastructure they provide.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jam cloud address the issue of using different providers for different services JumpCloud is all in one solution
This is the best and easiest way to hit PCI Compliance Guidelines without a lot of effort.
What do you like best about the product?
With the ease of multi-machine management in a domain-less environment we are easily able to create and manage users globally without a mess of configuration files. We have JumpCloud on a mixture of Windows and Linux based machines. The setup on each of these types of machines is extremely straight forward and does not require any deep configurations.
What do you dislike about the product?
The ONE issue that happens once in a blue moon is that the JC Agent will "crash," and it doesn't update your password to the newest one you set. I've only had this happen on a few Linux boxes. But trying to remember your old password after you've changed it can be tricky, ha. A simple restart of the service fixes it right away. Other than that, I really have no other issues with Jumpcloud.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Jumpcloud mainly for Centralized User Management over a handful of different Physical and Virtual Machines in our environment. The management helps explicitly with enforcing PCI Compliance guidelines that we must follow. You are able to assign users/user groups to specific machines, or even groups of machines. I know we've only touched the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the options available to us.
JumpCloud - The Future of Cloud Directory - Policy Enforcement
What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility to manage, scale, and protect our corporate fleet from any location and optimally deploy password policy enforcement, IAM, and SSO. JumpCloud MDM Enrollment has helped our organization grow without any limitations throughout the Global Pandemic and forward.
What do you dislike about the product?
At first, JumpCloud had limited features outside of being a great cloud directory saas... now there are on the verge of becoming one of the most agile Cloud Directory with next-level implementations for remote management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asset management on a global scale - We currently have over 10 offices worldwide and now have the capabilities to manage and track assets better than ever before, thanks to JumpCloud. Previously endpoints were being unmanaged and not 100% tracked from vendor outsourcing in other locations outside of the United States. Now we have the full scope of when assets are added, employees are onboarded, and all can be managed from the JumpCloud admin console.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for the future of IT Management, that is Intuitive and scalable then take a jump with JumpCloud - The Future Cloud Directory.
Easy to Use and Inexpensive Compared to Other Options
What do you like best about the product?
Some people may say that the interface is awesome and super intuitive (which it is) while others may say that it fits a niche and does what it sets out to do (it does!); Others may even say that the pricing is phenomenal and they even have a FREE tier! I would have to say that my favorite thing about JumpCloud is everything! JumpCloud does what they say, is easy to use, and the free tier allowed me to run a number of test cases without having to pay a dime.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, I found everything easy to use and don't have any dislikes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used JumpCloud to run several test cases with a new system we're setting up. It made things easy to test and minimized the time needed to do that.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For anyone considering JumpCloud, I would recommend trying the free option first. It offers a subset of the paid option but allows you to test that this solution is workable for your situation easily. I love companies that offer a free tier as I believe it shows that they are confident in their product offerings and know that after trying their product for free, you'll be more than willing to pay for the upgraded services.
