They’ve come a long way
What do you like best about the product?
Record and edit all in one place. Lots to f AI tools and google and apple apps for guests.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like to have more tools setting up the recording to help guests having various audio or video issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
AI tools are much better than before which makes post production much quicker. Also recording seems to have stabilized. Not as many issues with lost or poor recordings.
Very user friendly platform with great tutorials
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside has helped me boost my podcast to greater heights than I could’ve imagined possible. I love that I can utilize a teleprompter for scripting each episode. Also, being able to cross post and re-edit episode in the production studio is very convenient. I also love the animation features that come with the software.
What do you dislike about the product?
How laggy it can be at times, but I’m not sure if that’s due to the dated laptop that I’m using or if it’s Riverside causing that. I will have to upgrade hardware to test that theory.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside has helped me with finding a user friendly studio for producing and hosting my podcast without having to hire external developers.
Time Saver! Best platform for this hand down.
What do you like best about the product?
The all-in-one workflow they offer is top-notch. I can create great quality content in a fraction of the time it used to take me. Also they have great customer support with the plan that I am on.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the platform places a lot of demands on the browser, and as such, it can be buggy at times. Even with the bugs, the workflow acceleration benefits make it worth it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They make content creation far easier.
Your best friend for course creation.
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use is second to none. It has made creating content absolutely effortless.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a fan of the sound quality. Although its entirely possible that I just haven't found the right settings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I just created a 24 module course shot entirely on riverside. The lack of complexity and ease of uploading allowed me to get the finished product to market in one week. For a project of that size, its impressively fast.
Enjoying the AI Tools
What do you like best about the product?
Makes editing my own work streamlined, especially for someone with no editorial skills!
What do you dislike about the product?
Can sometimes be finicky with uploading files from guests.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can produce my own podcast without paying for a producer
The simplest approach to generate top-notch marketing videos without a producer.
What do you like best about the product?
I record walkthroughs for campaigns, social media, and websites using Riverside a few times a week. The screen capture quality is so sharp, even when I’m scrolling quickly or zooming in on analytics, that our demos and ads appear polished and trustworthy. I can easily record the screen, voice and camera simultaneously. The separate tracks make it easy to edit out any mistakes without a re-record. I love it! A large time saver, the social media clipping tool lets you convert long recordings into short clips for social media use.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if there were more brand logo and lower thirds options in the editor itself. It is restricting when I try to record mobile screens since mobile screen recording is not as smooth as that on the desktop version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside has revolutionized the manner in which we make video content. In the past, we used to depend on costly freelancers or complex software which took time to learn. I can create high-quality videos for social media, emails, and sales enablement in no time and without the techie headache. The engagement rates are up because the videos look more professional. I’m also saving hours each week that I used to spend on editing or coordinating with other teams.
Honest Review about Riverside
What do you like best about the product?
One of the best things about Riverside.fm is the studio-quality recording it provides, even when I am interviewing people remotely. Unlike Zoom or other meeting tools, it records each participant locally on their own device and then uploads the high-quality files in the background. That means you get crisp audio and video without the glitches and dropouts that sometimes happen on live calls.
What do you dislike about the product?
Even though Riverside.fm is powerful, there are a few things users sometimes dislike or find challenging:
⚡ Upload time & storage – Since it records locally and then uploads, files can take a while to finish uploading, especially with slower internet connections.
👥 Guest experience – Some guests find it confusing to join if they’re not tech-savvy, especially when using certain browsers or devices.
💻 Performance issues – It can be resource-heavy; if someone has an older computer, they might run into lag.
💰 Pricing – The free plan is limited, and the paid plans can feel pricey compared to alternatives.
🔧 Editing limitations – While it has AI editing tools, many podcasters still need external software for more advanced edits.

Unparalleledclarity, control to securely capture screens
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside imperfect for me as a Cloud Security Engineer to capture detailed security config, incident response walkthroughs, and architecture reviews. Capturing sensitive data and keeping it within our environment and also ensures that we always get a sharp output — even zooming in to focus on logs, code snippets or network diagrams. Recording my screen, camera, and microphone on different tracks is wonderful for autodialing and for creating post-incident reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice if there was native support for encrypted cloud storage (like saves go to AWS S3 automatically, but with KMS encryption) to make archiving to those a little easier and more secure. Other areas of improvement include stronger redaction capabilities for automated redaction of credentials or IP addresses that will require less manual post-processing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside records professional quality sound and video without putting sensitive data at risk of exposure through screen capture. It has done away with our disparate device arsenal of non-temporary recorders and stand alone editors, and saved ~10h a week in training and documentation for our team. We are able to easily produce auditable, compliance-ready videos to be used for internal training, client reviews and regulatory demos, without sacrificing security and/or quality.
Works very well
