Fundamentally Changed How We Approach Customer Storytel
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use is fantastic—my marketing team was able to create and launch professional product tours almost immediately without any technical help. Implementation was straightforward and didn't require IT support, which saved us valuable time. We use Hopscotch weekly to guide users through new features, and the number of features available strikes the right balance between powerful and manageable. It has allowed us to capture more authentic and compelling customer stories. Because the setup is less intimidating for customers than a full studio setup, we get more natural and powerful testimonials. Customer support has been responsive on the rare occasions we've needed assistance, and the tool integrates easily with our existing web app.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the core features are strong, I'd like to see even more template options to speed up the creation process for common use cases. The ease of integration was generally good, though adding more native integrations with popular analytics platforms would make it even better. Occasionally, the background noise removal can be a bit aggressive on a particularly noisy connection, but you can adjust the raw audio file anyway.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Capturing authentic customer stories was difficult with clunky, intimidating technology. Riverside's simplicity solved this. The benefit is a richer library of genuine testimonials that are far more effective for building trust with prospects.
Podcasting for Rookies
What do you like best about the product?
I'm not a tech expert. When I tell people I host my own podcast, they ask me how difficult it is and how I have time to do it on my own. My reply is that I use Riverside.fm and it couldn't be easier. I record the episode. Edit it with tools that are simple and explanatory. And then add it Spotify. If I ever do run into an issue with editing, I do a quick search and can always find a video to explain what I need to do. I 10/10 recommend!
What do you dislike about the product?
I've learned this lesson the hard way. If someone calls when I'm recording on my phone, I get kicked out of Riverside. And have to re-start the recording.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside allows me to record my weekly podcast (which is currently audio only) and my monthly webinar all in one place with the same easy to use backend tools.
Massively Improved the Professionalism of Our Digital Events
What do you like best about the product?
We host virtual roundtables with C-level executives, and the quality cannot be compromised. Riverside delivers a polished, professional product that makes our guests and our brand look their best. The video-on-demand replays are incredibly high quality.
What do you dislike about the product?
For very large enterprise deployments, the user and permission management could be more granular, but it suits our current team size well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our virtual events often suffered from the 'talking heads' fatigue and poor production value. Riverside solved this by delivering cinema-level quality for each participant. The benefit is a more engaging and premium event experience that attendees remember.
The Foundation of Our Scalable Video Strategy
What do you like best about the product?
As we've scaled our video output, Riverside has been able to keep up without any hiccups. It handles multiple shows and series with different formats effortlessly. The media is always organized and easy to access for our editors.
What do you dislike about the product?
We haven't found a need for the live streaming feature yet, so that part of the platform feels like an extra for us, but it's good to know it's there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As we scaled, our previous tools became bottlenecks. Riverside solved our scalability problem. The benefit is a foundation we can grow on for years, supporting an ever-increasing volume of content without compromising on quality.
The Ease of Use is a Major Win for Our Distributed Team
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is incredibly easy to use, and my team was able to start creating professional recordings immediately with almost no learning curve. Implementation was seamless—we had our first session live within an hour. The guest invite link is a standout feature; since our team is spread across different time zones, the simplicity makes scheduling and recording seamless. Everyone, regardless of their tech proficiency, can join without issues. The number of features, like separate audio/video tracks and AI-powered transcription, covers all our needs without feeling overwhelming.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like to see more template options for the social media clips to speed up our branding process even further.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coordinating recordings with a global team was often slowed down by complex software setups. Riverside's guest link solved this. The benefit is faster scheduling and a smoother experience for all participants, increasing internal adoption.
make video editing text based

I really appreciate the text-based video editing features, as well as the screen recording capabilities. The option to record in 4K, especially for
What do you dislike about the product?
Not yet much to dislike, but I do wish there were more options for video editing. Only the need for additional editing features
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside provides a complete studio setup for creating or recording videos, making the process much easier. The text-based video editing feature is especially helpful, as it simplifies editing and significantly reduces
Key to Our Efficient Content Repurposing Engine
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to quickly generate clips for different social media platforms from a single long-form recording is a massive efficiency gain. It has fundamentally changed our content repurposing strategy for the better.
What do you dislike about the product?
The transcription service is accurate, but the turnaround time can vary. We sometimes use a dedicated service when we need a faster turnaround.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were spending too much time manually creating clips from long recordings. Riverside's automated clip generator solved this. The benefit is a 5x faster turnaround in getting content to social channels, which has increased our social media engagement rates.
Worth It for the Local Recording and Separate Tracks Alone
What do you like best about the product?
The peace of mind knowing that the original, high-quality media is saved locally on each participant's machine is invaluable. The separate WAV audio files make our audio engineer's job much simpler, leading to a pristine final mix.
What do you dislike about the product?
The audio enhancement features are good, but for our most critical projects, we still do a final pass in a dedicated DAW. For most use cases, it's perfectly sufficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were losing the subtle nuances of in-person conversation in remote recordings. Riverside's quality solves this. The benefit is more authentic and impactful interviews that truly connect with our audience on an emotional level.
A Reliable Workhorse for Our Daily Content Operations
What do you like best about the product?
It's incredibly dependable. We use it daily for recording social media content, internal training videos, and client pitches. The consistency in performance and output quality makes it a tool we don't have to think twice about.
What do you dislike about the product?
The clip creation tool is fantastic, but I'd like even more customization options for the captions and branding in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a workhorse tool that we could use day in and day out without fail. Riverside solves the problem of unreliable tools disrupting our content engine. The benefit is a consistent and dependable content production pipeline that our entire team relies on.
Inexpensive, Dependable Answer to Our In-House Training Recordings
What do you like best about the product?
We have been using Riverside for about six months to record and edit our internal technical training sessions and software demonstrations. As an IT project manager, ease of use was essential for our rollout. Implementation was straightforward—we opted for a cloud deployment, and our team of roughly 15 people was able to go live within a day, which made the process very efficient. The range of features is well balanced; the separate audio and video track functionality, especially for recordings with multiple speakers, has been invaluable. We rely on this feature several times a week, and the frequency of use shows just how integral Riverside has become to our information sharing. Integration is simple: we download the finished video and upload it to our internal SharePoint, which is a straightforward process. Considering the price, and especially with our renewal discount, Riverside has proven to be a very effective tool for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
The built-in editor lacks a few features that we rely on for producing more polished final cuts, so we usually perform a final touch-up in a different program. We've only needed to contact customer support once; while they did resolve our issue, their response time was slower than what we typically expect from business software. Currently, I estimate that around 20% of our users have fully transitioned to using it for their own recordings, while some still tend to fall back on standard screen recorders out of habit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This solution takes the burden of creating high-quality training materials off the producer’s shoulders, all without requiring a large budget. In the past, our recordings often suffered from poor audio and pixelated screen shares whenever someone’s internet connection faltered. The ability to record locally has eliminated these issues, ensuring our training videos maintain a professional standard. As a result, we’re able to build up institutional knowledge more effectively and reduce the need for senior developers to repeatedly answer the same questions in person. It’s a practical solution that reliably fulfills its core promise.
