Poor Quality and Severe Billing Issues
What do you like best about the product?
I like the quality aspect of Riverside when dealing with videos.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's supposed to render better, but it's impossible to download the file sometimes. They keep charging me without receipts $300 yearly when I am on a free plan, and last year they couldn't refund it because 'they can't locate the transaction.' This year they use chatbots that say my transaction is not refundable. So $900 that I didn't agree to, and I need to close my AMEX to prevent the charges I didn't agree to while I am on a free plan. The initial setup of Riverside was hard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside is supposed to improve video quality for my podcasts, but downloading files can be impossible sometimes.
Easy Podcast Recording and Editing in One Platform
What do you like best about the product?
It's a very easy platform to record and edit audio and video podcasts.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only real dig is that there are so many features that I know I'm not using.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Don't really have a problem. Riverside is simply a great platform.
Separate Editing Tracks That Help Me Create My Best Work
What do you like best about the product?
Separate tracks for editing. It really helps me make the best product.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't really use all of the AI features. Seems lazy to me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to remotely interview people and get separate tracks to better edit. I absolutely love that. Without it, I'd have way worse quality issues.
It just works. Every time.
What do you like best about the product?
It does the one thing I need it to do and does it flawlessly. I record a podcast with remote guests and I need high-quality, synced audio and video files on the other end. Riverside nails that every single time. The interface is dead simple, guests never have trouble joining, and I've never lost a recording. I know the platform has a huge feature set beyond what I use, but honestly the core recording experience is so solid that I've never needed to explore further. That's the best compliment I can give a tool: it just works.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, not much. If I'm nitpicking, I'd love the option to record even higher quality raw files. For a podcast where audio and video quality really matter, having access to less compressed source files would be a nice upgrade. But that's about it. I don't have real complaints because the core experience has been consistently reliable for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote podcast recording used to mean choosing between convenience and quality. You could hop on Zoom and get a reliable connection but terrible audio, or you could ask every guest to do a local recording and hope they hit the right buttons. Riverside solves that by recording locally on each end and syncing everything automatically. I get studio-quality files without putting any technical burden on my guests. That means I spend my time on the conversation, not on troubleshooting.
One-Click Audio Enhancement and Easy Podcast Distribution
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it enhances my audio with just a click of a button. I also appreciate that it distributes my podcast to other platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be glitchy at times and that can be annoying
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A one stop shop for recording and editing my podcast.
Simple Setup and Clear Recording for Clinic and Teaching Work
What do you like best about the product?
I work as a Dietician and Nutritionist and manage a homeopathy clinic. i also do online consultations and create health education and teaching videos, so recording is part of my regular work.
Riverside is simple to start and does not take much setup. I can quickly record videos for patient guidance or diet explanation, which saves time during clinic hours.
For online consultations, I sometimes record small videos to explain routine or diet. The audio and video quality is clear, so patients can understand properly without repeated explanation.
I also find some AI features useful in my work. The thumbnail option helps in creating a proper preview easily, and Magic clips is helpful when I need to take short parts from a longer video for quick explanations. Features like transcription and basic editing also help when needed.
It fits well in my workflow, I can record and directly use the content for patients or teaching. Overall it makes my work easier without making things complicated.

What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t have any major issues. when I record multiple videos in a day, managing and naming them properly becomes important, otherwise it can take a bit of time to find the exact recording later. It’s not a big problem, just something I noticed during regular use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my daily work, I have to explain same diet plans and basic instructions again and again to different patients, which takes time and sometimes I have to repeat things.
Riverside helps me here because I can record one simple video and use it again. I just share it with patients, so they can watch and understand better. It also saves my time in daily work.
For online consultations also, it is helpful because patient can watch the video again if they miss something on call, so follow ups become easier.
I also use it for small teaching videos, so I don’t have to explain same topic many times. Overall it makes my work a bit easy and more clear.

Riverside Makes Remote Podcast Recording Easy with Stunning Local Quality
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside's local, high quality recording is certainly the best feature. It's cost effective and incredibly easy to use. It feels familiar (like Zoom), but has advanced features that set it apart as the ideal for remote podcast recording.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much to dislike -- I think the editor isn't great, but I'm more of an engineer. It's nice that an editor feature is included for those that are getting started. I also think the AI Co Creator could use some work, but it's not bad.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote podcast recording used to be complicated and expensive. Riverside makes it easy, affordable, and accessible. Even low-tech guests can have a great recording with just a few instructions.
Smooth, User-Friendly, and Low-Effort to Use
What do you like best about the product?
It is very smooth, user friendly, and low effort for an ADHD non-technical person who does finance, not AV.
What do you dislike about the product?
The video software could be better at blocking out background like other video softwares are, this is really my main gripe. Makes me look choppy and bald.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Supremely easy podcast creation, helpful short videos automatically pulled from it, etc.
Makes Podcast Recording So Much Easier
What do you like best about the product?
This makes recording video and audio so much easier compared to running everything through Zoom. It makes my job as the host and producer of a podcast a lot simpler.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, it’s slow. The Mac app is easy to use, but it needs more functions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
