Procore is a pretty good tool.
What do you like best about the product?
I like using the Commitments tool to monitor POs and enter invoices. I also like the licensing structure.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a lot of admin work to get Procore setup and you need to be careful of which settings you opt for- because it could be a big headache in re-work if you have a feature turned on that you don't want. Ex- if your POs are setup as QTY based you cannot make a change to Amount based and have to delete and re-enter.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaborating with parties all over the US is pretty handy with Procore. It's nice to be able to use versions on the Documents tool to handle important documents and even check them out to prevent versioning issues.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Procore is a really good system for the services it provides. It is very user-friendly and they are open to hearing feedback and engaging with their customers.
Well rounded program with beneficial updates
What do you like best about the product?
The overall organization of the program is well done. It's very easy for users who are not tech-savy to navigate their way around project information, unlike other programs. The customization is the second best feature I enjoy about Procore.
What do you dislike about the product?
The specification log needs to be more easily workable with single pdf files for uploading. The drawing's upload feature can be highly tedious to work with, as I'm constantly having to fight Procore to get the correct information in. The auto-population for drawings' information is wrong more often than not, assuming it is a new drawing number.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overall organization has greatly helped us, from the preliminary and bidding stage to closeout, we have saved a lot of time and therefore money. We can easily track any item project related and have been giving the ability to constantly improve how we perform as a company.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Outstanding features all around. Any issues are typically fixed with updates. Free for subcontracted vendors to access project plans and documents.
There are several areas - mostly financial, that we do not use due to issues with the system.

Ability to have current plans available instantly
What do you dislike about the product?
Procore does a lot of updates that causes more "steps" to accomplish the same thing. Updates should save time not use more of it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were hoping to be able to have a financial, bidding and construction management system in one but that has not happened.

Clients are happier to be able to access their project and obtain information they need in lieu of waiting for the information to be accumulated from various individuals working on the project.

What do you like best about the product?
Very organized, user friendly and anyone on the project team can access the project from their phone or the site. Great tool to control who can see what as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not being able to revise an already approved change order until all previously approved change orders become draft or pending in review. Changing all change orders to draft or pending in review then approved again changes the approved date on every change order and makes it look very unprofessional and causes questions sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
communication, having everything saves on a cloud base system and having everything in one place and accessible for team members, and clients.

Highly recommend procore!! it makes things easier, and more organized.

I enjoy using the product and its a very powerful construction tool.

There has been times when the software is not available due to system crashes

We use it as our total construction tool for all of our project managers & superintendents that work on projects. We really like that our subcontractors can also use the software to upload submittals, RFI's, & Drawings.

Use it!!!
Used it for logging shop drawing and RFI reviews.

Having to select a specific "approved status"

We don't use it for business solving. We are the third party reviewer
My Love and Hate relationship with Procore
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to do everything for my projects in one application. I like that subcontractor's have the ability to view drawings and submittals. This cuts down on e-mails and hard copies having to be sent out to multiple people. I also like that Owners can view, approve and reject OCO's. This saves time for not only my job but accounting also. I attended one of the G2 Change Event Webinars and am very excited about the changes that have been made. there have been a lot of our concerns answered during this roll-out!
What do you dislike about the product?
Still a few software issues that need to be worked out. Not having more Subcontract / PO approval options. What is available under PO should also be available under Subcontract.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Owners, Field and Office employees are able to utilize all projects and documents.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This program can seem overwhelming at first. Take it step by step. Costumer Service is great!
