What do you like best about the product?
As I'm using this tool since last 2 years as our IT infrastructure monitoring ,this one is best I came across in IT industry and which includes N number of features for all kind of monitoring like server infrastructure, cloud infrastructure, network infrastructure, application and URL monitoring, database monitoring and especially the user interface is lit.
We can customise according to our requirement.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Basically we are using it for IT infrastructure monitoring and events trigger.Like Server monitoring, application,URL monitoring, database event monitoring, event generate via email, cloud and virtual machines monitoring.
Memory ,CPU utilization many with this monitoring Tool.
Customised metrics as per our requirement,etc.

What do you like best about the product?
SolarWinds SAM is one of the easiest and most precise tool that gives best result for application monitoring.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have no dislikes on this tool. Would definitely recommend to others as well
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitoring of server status and also application monitoring using various templates for example DHCP dns file server AD and so on
Very useful infrastructure monitoring module in the Orion suite

The variety of things that can be monitored within this module is extraordinarily helpful.

Lots of security patches to be deployed to stay up to date with security threats

Monitoring all windows and Linux servers with custom script monitors. All in one place kind of module
Best IPAM Tool in the industry
What do you like best about the product?
Automated tracking of provided IP ranges is one of the best features. Providing device Status Change notifications and DHCP Monitoring kames the IT Admin Job easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
No Service-Now Integration. A built-in DHCP Server Management feature will be great to add to the tool for IT Admins.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this for Automated IP Address Range Tracking and device status notifications. This is our one-stop option for any IP Address related information. Sometimes we even look for any new unknown devices connected to our network for which we have not provided the IP address.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is an excellent tool for IP Address management, and it even works with DHCP scopes, though DHCP scopes syncing are a bit delayed.

Solarwind IPAM allows to easily integrate with existing DHCP, DNS solutions from a wide variety of vendors.

Solarwinds Internet Protocol Address Manager can benefit from additional automation providers integration.

SolarWinds IP Address Manager allows assessing enterprise-wide IP addresses allocation and usage efficiently and improves IP addresses allocation decision making.

What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to add a device to SolarWinds regardless of the model, and it has a great interface to analyze the data about the added device. You can set up monitoring screens for your teams with custom dashboards.

What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest disadvantage is that it works with too many resources on the virtual server.
There is a certain limitation for Elements, when you exceed this limitation, you need to set up a new polling engines server, which creates an extra cost.

With Solarwinds, we monitor our entire network 7x24, receive alarms thanks to the thresholds we set, and inform the related teams by mail or call according to their critical, high, and medium levels.

We've used it for years and I've found it to work very well, it's consistent and easy to use interface.

I don't have any complaints about it really.

We're immediately aware of any outages or issues, it gives visual as well as textual information. Very easy to use. It allows people to be more productive because you can see in a glimpse if there are any issues.

Currently, i am not having any difficulties or any bad expereince with this tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Virtualization manger itself is the best tool to do your troubleshooting work and have a third eye in the devices, this Virtualization manager will manage all your virtual machines and it have all the necessary monitoring parameters for making sure they monitor our virtual machines.
Very painless and simple to manage.
What do you like best about the product?
IP manager or IPAM, is very well made. We can manage so many groups of networks and it also makes it easy to find an IP when we don't remember what it belongs to. IPAM in SolarWinds allows us to tag an IP and show it as USED, RESERVED, AVAILABLE or TENTATIVE. IPAM also allows us to break out networks and subnets and create grups for each and easily organize it all.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am not familiar with many other options for what we do here, but I would like to see a more extensive vendor group for solarwinds IPAM. What I mean is when I add an IP and the necessary information for IPAM and it can detect a connection, it sometimes adds the detailed info like hostname or vendor on there. But we use SO MANY, that it does not seem to know all of them yet. An update in that regard would be very welcomed. I would also like to point out that it would be helpful to show the detailed information about each IP more compactly? It would be nice not having to scroll to the right to see the switch name or VLAN info. I mean, this can probably be organized by teams. I am in networking, so I would like to see networking details, whereas a DC tech might only need hostname and IP info.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We onboard many people regularly, and some engineers have moved on too. IPAM makes it easy to manage IPs to devices and makes it easy to see the pattern we have set forth for future generations of engineers. So they can take over quickly and maintain it as we have. With IPAM I can also edit names and manage hostnames foe devices or groups, so I can easily find what I am looking for.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is easy to use, and I recommend you at least give it a shot. Some other options out there might entice you, but IPAM has been around for a while. They know what they are doing and how we engineers like to use the service, so they adapted their services.

What do you like best about the product?
This product is easy to manage and has a big impact in the company, easy to monitoring different IP's inside the company, no need to do manual checking, with the help of this tool, it's a life changer in the IT department

This quite a complicated before deployment, needs a lot of testing and checking before a smooth implementation. This is also expensive software
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides alert, network mapping, automayed network monitoring, with the right SNMP settings it will quickly be discovered the issues with the IP

Talk to experts, do a proof of concept and do a lot of testing and configuration before purchasing an expensive software.
