Excellent product, user friendly, efficient and with very good customer support
What do you like best about the product?
the fast simulation time is helpful as well as the included mesh analysis
What do you dislike about the product?
difficult to add additional surfaces in the change geometry section
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
understanding stress analysis
Easy simulation package to pickup with great tutorials and support
What do you like best about the product?
Really useful graphical explaination of boundary conditions. Cloud based compute is a game changer for being able to run large sims without locking down your computer for hours. Integration with Onshape is really helpful as well. Support from the SimScale team has been fantastic making the transition much smoother.
What do you dislike about the product?
Inbuilt modelling isn't great meaning that significant geometry changes require re-import from CAD package which is time consuming and needs re-setup time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
enabling structural and thermal simulations of our designs to understand performance and solve issues prior to manufacturing and testing prototypes. also design/performance optimisation
User Friendly
What do you like best about the product?
Simscale was fairtly Easier to use than other FEA softwares, also it gives accurate results.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it takes very long time to analyze the model.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped me to analyze a complicated bridge connection for my class
Satisfied of the interface, types of simulations and results
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is simple and user-friendly.
The types of simulations available are convenient to what we are working on.
Error logs and warnings are easy to understand and to fix.
The support engineers are so helpful and professional and speak English very fluently. Kind stuff and master well the physics and computing codes in the backend.
Running simulations on SimScale is time saving thanks to the server computing cores and allow us to work simultaneously while the simulation is running.
The option of running multiple simulations at the same time is highly appreciated.

What do you dislike about the product?
CAD platform is not very rich of editing features, most of the times I have to edit the model in my CAD software and re-upload it again.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thermal loads of electronic devices due to power dissipation and cooling solutions (passive or active)
Perfect tool for school
What do you like best about the product?
The simulations we generate with Simscale are very useful to understand my courses at school, we use Simscale a lot to verify our work. The site is easy to implement since you don't have to dowload an app on your computer, and the website offers tutorials on how to use the different features.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not the easiest to use at first. Luckily I got it right during classes with the help of the teacher.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it at school and we use Simscale mostly to review thermal properties of materials
Very useful software for optimizing designs
What do you like best about the product?
It has very wide capabilities in simulation including static, frequency analysis, thermal, and cfd that are very helpful in evaluating and optimizing designs. They have a great deal of technical support available from customer support engineers who can help with any technical issues when setting up simulations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm the only one at work who does mechanical design and I find that I go through periods during the product development cycle when I am too busy to use it so it sometimes doesn't get used as much as I would like. But then at other points in the design cycle I'm using it extensively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most of the simulations I've done have been in optimizing the design of products by simulating fluid flow behavior sometimes combined with heat transfer. But lately I've also being doing static and vibration analysis of designs as well. Our marketing group have made good use of the fluid flow animations that it creates in order to illustrate how some of our products function.
Good introduction to CFD
What do you like best about the product?
Best about simscale is the simple ui/ux design to help newcomers to CFD and simulations, which can be intimidating when using more raw options like APDL or raw OpenFoam
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can be too simplistic, sometimes I could not find mathematical explanations for some of the calculation options, like the rotation zone in an incompressible axial fan analysis. Thankfully I could ask a teacher about it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Incompressible flow analysis
Somewhat slow, but effective
What do you like best about the product?
I like the post process analysis tools, to help visualize velocity and pressure profiles. Animations are also awesome
What do you dislike about the product?
I didn't like how long it took for mesh's to generate and simulations to run
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Analysis of fluid dynamics, to better enhance my studies at university
The Best Web-based Simulation tool
What do you like best about the product?
1. Web based, so no downloads and no need for a high end graphic laptop.
2. Pretty easy to learn and use. The tutorials are very good
3. 10 simulations and 3000 core hours are free for trial. This is a very good way to do some trial simulations and verify the results.
4. Extremely helpful chat support. The support staff are well trained and highly knoweldgeabe.
5. I think the learnig curve is not so steep for this, based on my experience.
6. Since Simscale is integrated with Onshape, I find it very helpful.

What do you dislike about the product?
I didn't find anything to dislike from the simulation point. However, I think the fonts for the simulation set up dialogue boxes should be a lit bigger. It was kind of very small and hard to read. I am not sure whether it is possible to change th font size.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being a web based tool, SimScale is eliminating the need for heavy duty workstations. I think the cost of the workstation is more than the yearly licence of SimScale.
Easy
What do you like best about the product?
it's very easy to handle and the online support is fast an efficent.
What do you dislike about the product?
it's so easy sometimes we get cool results but arent fully aware if we implemented everything properly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I persoannly use it for temperature calculations and to check the aero dynamics.
