Satisfied
What do you like best about the product?
The website is very interactive and the service is easy to use for a wide variety of engineering applications from multiphase flow simulation to finite element analysis for structural validation.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I had a question about a particular thing on my simulation, the live chat would take several days to respond.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simscale is helping solve the problem of time-dependent simulations for reliable and accurate post processing results. They cut the amount of time it takes for simulations to run and produce results that are satisfactory and accurate.
Easy to Use and Start Simulating
What do you like best about the product?
The integration with OnShape is really helpful. The ease with which you can setup Simulations is quite easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is relatively less documentation about the algorithms in use. But it is possible to run validation cases and confirm the results.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use SimScale primarily for fluid flow and thermofluidic simulations. The software is easy to use and has in built post processing tools. The cloud based simulations do make it faster and easy to simulate. The pricing for the tool is also very competitive.
Helpful browser based FEA software to take the computing load off your local machine.
What do you like best about the product?
The cloud computing and ability to run multiple simulations in parallel really helps to speed up the process of running many simulations in a relaitevly short period of time. I also really appreciate the ability to share specific simulations with Simscale's team of application engineers to help debug simulations live when you need help. I usually get a response within 20 minutes during working hours and that service has been very helpful. To help you troubleshoot issues with meshing, boundary conditions, running simulations, etc. I have recieved detailed videos regarding my specific application which has been very helpful in speeding up the learning curve when learning how to use SimScale's software.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be helpful if SimScale automatically flagged maximum or minumum stress, deflection, etc. values on a simulation model as I've seen done on other FEA software. When it comes to static FEA simulations you are also limited to using tetrahedral elements (1st or 2nd order) with no options for quadrahedral elements and some limitations to meshing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using SimScale mostly for static FEA simulations - both linear and nonlinear analyses.
Powerful and decent learning curve
What do you like best about the product?
Ricardo! And access tech support in general.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of post processing report options. Such as a summary of variables and inputs and results.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thermal Bridging in complex prefab panels
SimScale_Pedestrian Wind Comfort Simulation
What do you like best about the product?
It is the only tool we've found that considers topology for running wind simulations and offers multiple types of analysis to evaluate wind conditions. Not to mention their amazing technical support team that is both available and knowledgeable to assist you throughout the process.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's an advanced tool that requires a little preparation and testing beforehand until you become fluent in using it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SImulating wind conditions in specific locations is an important factor in design consideration for the type of project and their siting.
Easiest to use
What do you like best about the product?
Very intuitive to use, even the simplest newbie can use it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pre-processing flexibility, especially meshing. Need more help in that
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CFD problems in my domain

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Product/Project Design of early design Checks.
Value Added Analysis Package
What do you like best about the product?
Uncomplicated tools to get you started on your analysis. Feature rich to dig deeper into your analysis and extract meaningful data.
What do you dislike about the product?
The amount of automation creates ease of use but also removes some of the variable controls necessary for certain parameter configurations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Structural concerns resulting form loads environments. Rigidity/deflection limits of our products. Simscale gives us the ability to focus in on specific areas and modify certain aspects to improve performance, weight, and durability.
