What do you dislike about the product?
Parts hidden in Onshape sometimes show up in SIMSCALE. I had to painfully delete them in SIMSCALE.
Limited Boundary conditions especially ( connectors). I wanted to add spings between two flat surfaces. Easy to do in Solidworks sim but I cannot do it in simscale.

Speedy cloud-based simulations
What do you like best about the product?
Simscale has a very friendly, easy to navigate interface and incredibly well organized documentation which enables designers in our studio to perform PWC studies. Customer support is top quality, with very knowledgable team responding quickly to any queries. Cloud-based system has helped to speed up our simulations - we can now run multiple variations simultanously and compare options much faster, which is great condsidering ever-changing nature of early stage design concepts.
What do you dislike about the product?
It'd be great to have more options for display modes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Environmental analysis and comfrot criteria for design options.
CAE: FEM+CFD+EMS puzzle piece of a full could SaaS company system
What do you like best about the product?
Parasolid connection from Onshape(Parasolid kernel) to Simscale(Parasolid kernel) with version controll, works perfect.
What do you dislike about the product?
Still some features a laking like comparing two transient non-linear FEM results over all steps. Reports are not there yet (but coming as I was in contact with the UX team), but not that critical - because the browser viewer with post processing capabilities is perfect for most cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
solving linear and non-linear FEM simulations of our onshape parts/assemblies in detail with perfect support

Fast and easy-to-learn simulation tool
What do you like best about the product?
Good variety of simulations. Easy of Use. Easy Boundary Conditions Setup. Speed of simulation. Custumer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Geometry handler not the most easy to use or not really versatile. Download of the results not always available for some simulations as well as some boundary conditions (e.g. periodic) not always available . Post Processing is quite slow and does not allow the extraction of more useful info from the results (area averaged values, mass averaged values, radial or axial profiles of certain quantities).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Conjugate Heat Transfer simulation for component design, or results comparison.
Best in class CFD Technical Support
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that I can load up several simulation variations and run them in parallel...all from my laptop while traveling is AMAZING for my productivity. I'll never go back to a big expensive personal computer that I'm chained down to.
While cloud is great, people matter even more. My contact from the Simscale support team has been my mentor and coach through onboarding with the platform, and helping troubleshoot some tricky geometry. I value the best practices he shares and that the in-bullt chat feature brings me right to him. Had I known the support was so good it would have been easier for me to justify the purchase internally more quickly.

What do you dislike about the product?
There have been times when I've desired a cylindrical coordinate system, or radial symmetry. However I'm still able to run and learn everything needed from my models without such symmetry.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My initial need was a cost effective CFD software that would give me access to cloud compute resources as I did not want to buy another computer. Simscale solves that problem in spades. However it was their technical support that I came to appreciate even more.
SimScale provides excellent support for FEA/CFD
What do you like best about the product?
The level of support SimScale offers is fantastic. They offer plenty of tutorials and guiding documents, as well as quick live support through their chat. In the past, I've had videos and in depth explanations provided by the SimScale team based on my specific question.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some slight inconsistencies between versions and tutorials. Sometimes I look at an old forum and the UI looks slightly different, making it harder to follow along.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SimScale helps iterate through design decisions faster and helps validate models before me invest time into building them.
Was able to save me hours in simulation time.
What do you like best about the product?
Have the ability to simulate many different iterations is a real time save and has been one of the best value adds to the business.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tricky to setup a simulation with lots of botled connects and contacts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using SimScale to run load cases from Australian Design Rules to show whether or not a design complies with all safety requirments.
User-friendly CFD
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Simscale is that, first, the interface is very user-friendly and easy to navigate for inexperienced CFD users, while also allowing enough control for more detailed analysis. The other very good thing about Simscale is the support that is always available to give helpful insights on problems you may face in a project. Collaborating with them has been a very positive experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
An area that I see Simscale working on that I think will be a great addition is the ability to manipulate the data after the run and extract insights.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visually pleasing and easy-to-understand results.
The best support I had from a software company and an outstanding simulation tool.
What do you like best about the product?
Simscale provides an amazing CFD and FEA tool, with a large knowledge material and it has a great support team, always resposive and caring, with a large experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
I believe they could improve some animations in post-process results and some UX tools to enhance the user performance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simscale provided a robust cloud-based simulation solution, which allowed us to save significantly on hardware. In addition, the support team provided us with rapid leverage of knowledge and implementation of the tool.
