Great ESP with awesome support team

  • August 07, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Iterable has a state of the art support team that is knowledgeable and always ready to go above and beyond. On the toolset standpoint, Iterable has a talented pool of devs and solution architects who liase with the customers regularly while delivering features. I think this is amazing whereby the builders are in direct contact with the customers' needs. They listen and deliver, which is super important from a customers' standpoint. Iterabel is also super close to our business and our requirement. They understand us and help us in whatver way possible. Lastly, their deliverability team is also very well-equipped and are good in pointing out any potential issues way ahead of time. This allows us to address issues that may have bad consequences otherwise.
What do you dislike about the product?
Iterable has some 3rd party integrations that provide bits and pieces of their toolset, for instance the drag and drop interface to build email. Neither the customers, nor Iterable seems to have a good understanding of their backlog and prioritizing processes. If issues pop up with these elements it is difficult to address them with proper transparency.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iterable has become the single-most important marketing tool that we leverage. It enabled us to set up complex automations, triggers and personalization. It integrates well with a number fo 3rd parties seamlessly, like CDP. Iterabel took away the pain in building an email from scratch, so we could put our focus on strategy rather than on execution. It also alolows our marketers to build their own emails without having a specific email-focused operations team.

Easy to set up journeys and organise campaigns

  • August 07, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The journey builders are very intuitive and easy to set up as flows. It's easy to organise and categorize our campaigns.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not having a place to host images is a bit of a pain. Also the way experiments are launched is counter-intuitive. Usually platforms allow you to 'launch' an experiment and it would just begin when the associated campaign starts sending, but on Iterable we have to time it so that we also launch the experiment just before the campaign. This is unlrealistic for anything we are scheduling ahead of time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're able to easily report on multiple fairly complex journeys containing all sorts of split tests, gaining invaluable insights into our users.

Powerful analytics

  • August 02, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Iterable helps to acheive business goals for our lifecycle team with easy-to-use platform capabilities. We're able to execute on strategies quickly for big wins due to majority of functionalities needed already exisiting (and if not, the iterable team is great at providing alternative solutions)
What do you dislike about the product?
the only downside is the occasional outages which is realitively normal for most ESPs
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
iterable is helping us personalize our email comms and reach users at the right moment to incite conversions

Customization and innovation

  • August 01, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Iterable is *the tool* for lifecycle marketers to run wild with. With the right internal resources there are endless possibilities to ingest and leverage data. Journey and campaign creation is intuitive, and the new experimentation UI is equally as impressive.

The team at Iterable does a great job of innovating new products and features that have impact and are immediately actionable. Recent examples that come to mind are the "hold until" tile in journey studio and "frequency caps" in settings.
What do you dislike about the product?
Three things: (1) expense and (2) it's not plug and play and (3) not a native B2B tool

Many of the features to unlock true benefit/ROI have a cost associated. It's up to you to determine what your org needs in the near and long-term.

It's not accessible to every marketer - your org needs technical resources to run. Would love to see more plug and play apps/integration. E.g. plug in a "review" content block in template builder, adjust some settings, and be able to populate templates with real/relevant reviews - without needing to code or technical background.

Iterable was also built for B2C brands and you can tell - would love to see more B2B-specific features to solve some of our hang ups.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to achieve highly personalized journey automation in ways that our other martech tools cannot support. Connecting the message to impact and iterating on what isn't working is the secret sauce.

Powerful email automations with a few bugs

  • July 31, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's got a lot of functionality — our team can draft, test, and send messages, but also create templates, automate user journeys, and add extensive dynamic content to emails. We use the Catalog feature to customize product content in our emails, which has been useful. Our CSMs at Iterable have been consistently helpful and friendly. In the year or so that we've used Iterable, there have been several major additions and improvements to the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
A few quirks with the drag & drop editor mean that many emails get drafted in the HTML or WYSIWIG editors, which are overly complicated and time-intensive for simple emails. We've also come across bugs in a few of the more complex handlebars functions that have stumped our team and our Iterable support alike. The reporting is good for static emails but is missing useful analytics for emails with dynamic content. The Catalog interface, when we need to manually make additions or changes, is clunky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We market different products to different segments across a wide customer base, and Iterable allows us to dynamically create those emails. It also allows us to automate common user journeys.
