Fine-Grained Access Scopes Make Secrets Management Simple

  • May 01, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to be able to set access scopes per person, per project, per environment. It really allows us to get fine-grained access to the secrets that we need in an easy, legible way.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that the feature for change-requests requires access to the environment itself - I would like for us to be able to gate production access while still allowing lower-tiered users to request changes to production.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Secrets! We use it for incredibly easy access to secrets and configuration.

Easy UI, Needs Better VPS Support

  • May 01, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how the Doppler secrets management platform allows me to manage all environments and secrets for multiple projects in a single place, providing a single source of truth. Its UI is amazing, really easy to use and learn about. The platform makes it very easy to access each component, add secrets, and the documentation support for each component is really good. It was easy to set up and integrate with Vercel.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its integration with VPS server setup was a bit hard to manage and a lot of difficulties. If it could support VPS and custom servers, it would be much easier in the runtime environment. Setting up was easy, but implementing across projects was a bit hard since it doesn't support that much VPS configurations across node servers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Doppler secrets management platform prevents leaking env variables and simplifies team secret configuration. It provides a single source of truth and the UI makes accessing components easy, with great documentation support.

It's sometimes not very clear how inheritance works.

Doppler Secrets Management Platform lets us keep a single source of truth for environment variables in our monorepo.

What do you like best about the product?
Centralizes secrets for our entire dev team with a great local SDK. We specifically like the dev_personal feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
No OICD or team-based permission support until you hit the enterprise offering. You quickly end up needing that
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralized secret management for local and agentic development

Streamlined Secrets Management with Easy Setup

  • April 30, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how the Doppler secrets management platform helps us store environment credentials and access keys securely, which we cannot store publicly. It's super easy to set up and allows us to call external APIs easily as well as test a lot of stuff. I think it's also super cool because you can store all local environment based credentials on Doppler instead of a .env file, which is a lifesaver. It's definitely easy to use from what I've heard.
What do you dislike about the product?
Definitely. I think storing JSON files as values for passwords is kind of a pain process because I've often seen my times based on JSON secret, and then the formatting is messed up, and then it throws error. So if there was a feature to actually format JSON secrets directly or a button, I think that would be super valuable. And also maybe a status bar that shows when was the last time the password was changed directly instead of targeting it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Doppler to store all our credentials and environment variables, which simplifies calling external APIs and testing. It's easy to set up and eliminates the need for .env files by fetching secrets directly.

Effortless Secret Management with Intuitive UI

  • April 28, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find the Doppler secrets management platform really easy to use. The UI is incredibly sensible and intuitive. I love how you can configure it in lots of different ways and it syncs to lots of different places. It basically does everything I need, and I never have to go hunting through documentation to figure out why it doesn't do something, because it always does it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the permissioning system is a bit janky. Onboarding new users was a bit of a nightmare, because they had to be given access one by one to a million different projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Doppler eliminates the nightmare of managing environment variables, speeding up development by making secrets easily accessible to developers across applications and microservices.

Seamless Secret Management with a Super Simple UI

  • April 26, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It’s seamless to store client secrets under a single project, with no need for multiple configurations. Distributing secrets across different environments is also seamless, and it’s easy to reference them from Helm charts. There’s no extra developer setup required—everything can be read directly from environment variables.
Super simple UI to put the secrets
What do you dislike about the product?
I always had a concern how my secrets are stored are they encrypted propeperly are they end to.end packaged securely, or in the network with security that clearity of architecture im not able to find
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Secret management has been made very easy with Doppler. Earlier, managing secrets felt like a lot of overhead. As SaaS products become more about integrations between multiple clouds, storing and managing secrets across those clouds used to be difficult. Now it’s much easier, and we have more independence to use cross-platform cloud services without the same hassle.

Effortless Secrets Sync for Developer Teams

  • March 31, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use the Doppler secrets management platform for managing secrets for developers across environments. I like the quick UI and seamless sync, which help keep secrets in sync and let developers focus on coding. The initial setup was super easy; I just pasted my environment in and ran the Mac CLI.
What do you dislike about the product?
Windows performance is much harder to get working, but we only had 1 Windows developer on our team so it didn't really matter
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Doppler to manage secrets and keep them in sync across environments. The quick UI allows developers to focus on coding without distractions.

Effortless Secret Management with Intuitive Interfaces

  • November 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate both the command-line interface and the user interface for managing secrets and keeping them in sync. Everything feels straightforward and efficient. It integrates easily with the tools I use daily, and setting it up across environments was surprisingly smooth. Their customer support and documentation are also very helpful, and the free tier is generous enough to get real work done without friction.
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly can't find anything significant to criticize about Doppler. There's nothing that stands out to me as a dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Really helped me to centralize the secrets on my application and divide them by env
