What do you like best about the product?
Doppler makes it easy to manage secrets, API keys, and environment variables from a single place. The integrations with GitHub, AWS, Kubernetes and Terraform fit well into our existing workflows and help reduce manual configuration work. The platform is intuitive, and onboarding new team members is much faster.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform works well overall, but I would like to see more advanced permission controls and better visibility into secret rotation and usage history. Some configuration scenarios can require extra setup.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Doppler gives us a single source of truth for secrets across development, staging, and production environments. It improves security, reduces configuration mistakes, and saves time by keeping secrets synchronised across our infrastructure and deployment pipelines.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Doppler is how it centralizes and automates secrets management across all of our environments. Instead of manually maintaining multiple .env files, Doppler provides a single source of truth that keeps secrets synchronized across development, staging, and production. The user interface is clean and intuitive, making onboarding quick even for team members who have never used a secrets management platform before.
One of the biggest benefits for our workflow is the seamless integration with development and deployment tools. We use it regularly to securely inject environment variables into our applications, which reduces configuration errors and saves time during deployments. Performance has been excellent, with fast secret retrieval and reliable synchronization across projects.
From a pricing and ROI perspective, Doppler helps prevent costly mistakes related to credential management while reducing the operational overhead of managing secrets manually. It has improved both security and developer productivity. Support and documentation have also been very helpful whenever we've needed guidance.
What has stood out most from the automation side is how Doppler automatically keeps secrets consistent across environments and services, eliminating many manual steps from our deployment process. While Doppler is not primarily an AI-focused platform, its intelligent automation features help detect configuration issues, simplify secret rotation workflows, and reduce human error. These capabilities have made our infrastructure more reliable and allowed us to focus more on development rather than managing credentials and environment configurations.
Overall, Doppler has become an essential part of our infrastructure by making secrets management secure, scalable, and easy to maintain.

What do you dislike about the product?
While my overall experience with Doppler has been very positive, one area that could be improved is the pricing structure for smaller teams and startups. As projects grow and require more environments, users, and integrations, costs can increase quickly. I would also like to see more advanced reporting and auditing features available in lower-tier plans. Additionally, because Doppler offers many capabilities, new users may need some time to fully understand the platform and take advantage of all its features. These are relatively minor concerns, but addressing them would make the platform even more accessible and valuable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Doppler solves the challenge of securely managing and distributing secrets across multiple environments, applications, and team members. Before using it, managing API keys, database credentials, and environment variables through local .env files was time-consuming and prone to errors. Doppler provides a centralized and secure way to store, organize, and synchronize secrets, ensuring that everyone on the team is working with the correct configuration.
This has significantly improved our workflow by reducing deployment issues, preventing configuration drift between environments, and minimizing the risk of exposing sensitive credentials. It also saves time during onboarding since new team members can securely access the secrets they need without manual sharing. Overall, Doppler has increased both our security and operational efficiency, allowing us to focus more on building and maintaining our applications rather than managing infrastructure credentials.

What do you like best about the product?
Getting up and running with the Doppler secrets management platform was faster than I expected. It didn’t take long before we had our application connected and our secrets showing up excatly where they needed to be. I also appreciate that changes are handled centrally, which makes it much clearer which values are current and helps avoid confusion.
What do you dislike about the product?
I’d love to see a few more advanced features available in the lower tier plans. As a team begina to scale, certain capabilities fastest become essential and it would be much more convenient to access them sooner instead of having to upgrade immediately.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Doppler our developers were passing environement variables around via internal messages, along with a patchwork of scattered documentation pages. Now its all managed in one controlled place, which has made thinga more consistent and has cut down the setup time when we spin up new projects.

Effortless Setup, Secure Sharing
Reviewed on Jun 09, 2026

What do you like best about the product?
I use the Doppler secrets management platform to securely share secrets with AI agents and my team without revealing them, and I also appreciate being able to rotate them. The initial setup was incredibly easy; we just installed it at the command line, and it worked magically. This was a big improvement over our previous setup with a markdown document that was highly insecure. The platform significantly reduced the infrastructure overhead we had when we had to host solutions ourselves. With Doppler, everything is simpler and more secure.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it'd be useful to have something that's more secure but native to AI agents. We often switch between agents and find they get confused with how the 'dot plan' actually works under the hood. Also, the previous method had quite an infrastructure overhead because we had to host it ourselves, and it wasn't as easy to install as Doppler.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Doppler secrets management platform to securely share secrets with AI agents and my team without revealing them, and the ability to rotate them. It replaces the insecure method of using markdown documents with secrets.

Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the simplicity of the Doppler secrets management platform. The collaboration tools are great too; they let everyone have their own variants of secrets for production, staging, or development, which is handy for things like local databases.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have an issue with the integration with CICD. The process shouldn't need a CLI on the server. Ideally, it could work via a simple token inside GitHub, GitLab, or any other pipeline to build the .env file. That would be optimal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Doppler secrets management platform to manage client work secrets, solving GitHub secret management issues, and simplifying sending .envs between teammates. It offers simplicity and collaboration tools, allowing teams to have their own variants of secrets for different environments.

Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use is a major plus for me. I can integrate it into my existing deployments and feel confident it will work reliably. Just as importantly, I no longer have to manage secrets that were scattered all over the place, which makes everything feel much more under control.
What do you dislike about the product?
Using Doppler requires my machines to be connected to the web. If, for some reason, I end up locked out of internet access, I can’t use it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solves the scattered unreliable secrets and keys all over the place. It helps secure my environment because I don't need to have local files that can expose my secrets and keys.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the branching feature of the Doppler secrets management platform, as it gives each developer their own personal key store that we use extensively with git worktrees. It ensures that developers never have to worry about secret management. Previously, we had to use example .env files which had to be copied and filled each clone or replication, and this platform removes that burden, which is great! Also, the initial setup of the platform was pretty easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd love for the CLI to be streamlined, we have had some issues logging in in the past. Just making sure the OAuth flow is sound.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Doppler to handle env secrets, eliminating multiple secret stores and reducing the risk of sharing live keys. The branching feature ensures devs don't worry about secret management, removing the burden of using and updating example .env files.

Reliable Secret Management with a Clean, Intuitive Interface
Reviewed on Jun 07, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The biggest benefit of Doppler for me its reliability. We use multiple cloud services and managing secrets manually used to be a constant headache and everything stays orgainzed and easy to access and the interface feels clean and intutive. Bringing new team members onboard is straightforward and the integrations fit smoothly with the tools we already use wvery day, which makes it easier to stay consistent across services.
What do you dislike about the product?
I’d appreciate more transparency and visibility into the platform, but clearer, easier to find documentation would make it much simpler to respond to questiona during security reviews and when coordinating with compliance teams and i haven’t run into many issues do far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It handle the challenge of managing secrets across different environments and cloud providers. Rather than keeping separate configurations scattered across multiple places, we can manage everything centrally from a single location. This has cut down our setup time, made deployments more consistent and helped us avoid configuration related errors during deployment.
