Auto scanning and enhanced security but re-adding protections need improvement

  • January 20, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

We have not sold the product to any customers as of now. We are still in the testing phase, which means we, along with our partners, are the current users.

What is most valuable?

The auto-scanning feature is quite beneficial.

What needs improvement?

At that time, we observed certain issues with the product. The functionalities could be improved, such as the isolation feature. If we remove our protection, we cannot easily add it back. If, in our organization, we need to remove a specific system for a particular time, we cannot add it back for security after doing so. This is one thing we have experienced. Scalability is also lacking. If we want to do the same thing repeatedly, there's not much the solution offers; it isn't very strong.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been using Coro for more than 40 days.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The product appears stable. However, as mentioned, we are not focused on a single product, so testing is distributed. In the first ten days, we didn't find many issues. We're only identifying a few features.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Scalability is lacking. If we want to do the same thing repeatedly, there's not much the solution offers; it isn't very strong.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We are currently working with Palo Alto XDR. It has been installed along with Palo Alto firewall. A review after 30 days might provide a better assessment.

How was the initial setup?

Setting up is an easy task because there will be an agent present on the site. We have to select the type of devices we are using, then share the Coro link or file. If we have any other AD server, we can directly push the APK.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The cost is reasonable because it is aimed at SMB customers, not enterprise customers. The prices are reasonable. We received a demo license, so we tried it more extensively.

What other advice do I have?

It is a good product if we aim to secure small and mid-sized businesses. If we do not require many features and only need basic security, Coro might be suitable.

Overall, I would rate it six out of ten.
