Printer Logic
What do you like best about the product?
Printer Logic makes it easy to have a central location for us to go to easily manage multiple customers/locations printers & printer setups, to add/remove with ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it were easier to download install drivers from within the software instead of having to open a separate browser window or tab to search/download/inspect and upload the correct file
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
By offering a web extension for most if not all browsers our customers and clients use, it allows a smooth, seamless (and painless) process for us to install and manage their printers
Amazing Printer Control without the server or scripts.
What do you like best about the product?
Extremely easy to use and manage. It also very easy for the users to use. It makes my jobs as an administrator very easy. You can easily assign specific printers to groups or individual machines even customize defaults. It also now supports wildcarding which makes it super easy to administer.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest downside I can think of would be the cost. It is based per printer queue, so if you have a lot of printer queues it can get quite expensive. It can someones be a bit painful to define printing defaults but works well once defined.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is replacing servers and printer scripts. Our printer script was over four thousand lines of code. This replace the need for this and still gave us the same granular control. The level of control has greatly improved with the latest version allowing for even better administration.
Get Rid of your Print Server
What do you like best about the product?
No longer having a single point of failure of a print server. Easy to deploy and set up.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not run into any dislikes of PrinterLogic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allowed us to get rid of our aging problematic Print Server and make it easier for users to add printers.
PrinterLogic Is Great Step to Getting Closer to a Cloud Based Infrastructure
What do you like best about the product?
PrinterLogic is easy to set up and flexible to meet all of the needs of our district. Once it is configured the dynamic groups make it a set-it-and-forget solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
The largest issue that I can see if PrinterLogic is the ability to easily deploy to both a PC and Chromebook environment. This can be accomplished by setting up 2 idp's however this is an extra cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our district is moving away from the need to have hardware on-site to manage our district's technology needs. PrinterLogic allows us to remove the need of a dedicated printer server in our environment.
PrinterLogic Review
What do you like best about the product?
It has saved us a lot of time deploying printers to our user base. Most users can help themselves with deploying printers. Our Helpdesk is also able to assist users more easily than when we used the traditional Windows print server. The security benefits are also a plus. We got PrinterLogic to deal with the Print Nightmare vulnerability, and ultimately, our printer management got significantly easier. We have reduced printer related support issues by over 50%.
What do you dislike about the product?
We use the PrinterLogic appliance that is deployed via an OVF template. The appliance works well enough, but it is often cumbersome to update the license file since you have to go in via a SAMBA share of sorts which doesn't always play well with Windows SMB settings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PrinterLogic solved our issues with Print Nightmare. We found that using this has allowed for a better user experience when getting new printers. With the easy to use web interface even on the admin side, we've been able to easily train up new team members in how to manage the PrinterLogic application.
Eliminates print servers, but can be clunky to install.
What do you like best about the product?
No more print servers! Every printer on campus is managed through a cloud-based portal. I can update drivers for everyone by simply uploading them to the admin portal.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Mac Installer is useless. You have to run the installer and then run four separate shell commands, enable the Safari extension, and then possibly do it a second time.
There is a glitch for some of my users where they have to re-login to PrinterLogic because it does not recognize their AzureAD login.
There is a glitch for some of my users where they have to re-login to PrinterLogic because it does not recognize their AzureAD login.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reduced time and effort to manage and deploy printers.
This software has fixed our Print Server problems!!
What do you like best about the product?
The Admin Web Portal is very user-friendly and easy to navigate through.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've had problems uploading print drivers for some specific brands and models.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We previously had issues with our print server and devices running Windows 11 version 22H2 communicating over Wi-Fi. The devices had to be hard-wired into the network. We constantly needed to restart the Print Spooler Service on multiple devices across our School District. PrinterLogic has solved that problem!!
