n8n: Powerful Visual Workflows Without Per-Step Limits

  • March 30, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
n8n lets you connect apps, APIs, databases, and AI models into automated workflows using a visual node-based editor. Each node represents a step like triggering events, transforming data, or calling APIs.Unlike many tools, n8n doesn’t limit complex workflows or charge per step. This is why many AI engineers and companies prefer n8n.
What do you dislike about the product?
n8n has a steeper learning curve compared to tools like Zapier, workflows can become complex and harder to debug as they grow, self-hosting requires ongoing maintenance and infrastructure management, and some integrations are less polished or community-maintained.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
n8n addresses key engineering challenges related to system integration, workflow automation, and AI orchestration. Modern engineering environments often involve multiple services, APIs, cloud platforms, and data pipelines that require significant manual effort to integrate and maintain. n8n solves this by providing a low-code, node-based workflow engine that enables engineers to design, automate, and orchestrate complex processes across heterogeneous systems. This reduces development time, minimizes boilerplate integration code, and improves system reliability through reusable and modular workflows.

From an engineering perspective, the benefits include faster prototyping, improved scalability, and reduced operational overhead. Engineers can rapidly build automation pipelines for data ingestion, AI model orchestration, monitoring, and event-driven architectures without developing custom middleware.

Simplifies API Integrations for Non-Developers

  • March 24, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the simplicity of using n8n. It's easy to interact with the platform and there's a good workflow. The pre-built templates are something I find very useful as they save a lot of time, especially when working on new projects or requests. I also appreciate the templates, instructions, and all the guidelines available. Setting up n8n is pretty easy, even for someone not very technical, as it allows me to connect different platforms and handle technicalities without having to learn coding or deal with backend APIs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the admin user interface is a little bit too simple, and I think sometimes it's hard to get the settings that I want to change.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
n8n helps me connect different platforms without needing coding knowledge, letting me handle technicalities easily.

Time-Saving Automations That Supercharge My Data Analysis Workflow

  • March 19, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The automations really help me in my data analysis workflow, saving me a lot of time when generating analysis reports and handling any kind of repetitive, recursive work.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main problem I’ve faced is that connecting to the SQL and Google servers has taken a lot of time. Also, in the webhook setup, the test URL keeps becoming the default, which makes it difficult to use the production URL.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main repetitive tasks were automated for me, especially report generation for data analysis and KPIs.

n8n’s Flexible, Open-Source Automation That Puts You in Control

  • March 17, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like n8n for several reasons. It’s incredibly flexible and lets you build complex, multi-step workflows that fit your exact needs, which is great if you want to connect different APIs and customize logic. I also appreciate that it’s open-source, so you can self-host, extend it with custom nodes, and have full control over your workflows. It’s very cost-effective, especially for smaller teams or personal projects, and the community is active, so there’s a lot of shared knowledge, examples, and support. On top of that, it balances no-code and low-code features nicely, allowing people to build useful automations without needing to write everything from scratch, while still giving advanced users the option to code where needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some popular apps don’t have built-in nodes, so integrations can require extra setup. Performance can lag with very complex or data-heavy workflows, particularly if the instance isn’t optimized, but the flexibility, control, and cost-effectiveness tend to outweigh these challenges for someone focused on AI automation and custom solutions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
n8n is solving the problem of connecting different apps, APIs, and data sources in a way that’s flexible and fully customizable. Instead of relying on rigid templates or limited workflows, it allows me to design multi-step automations that fit the exact process I need.
