After 3 years of using Braze, I can say that...
What do you like best about the product?
The personalization options with connected content, email HTML as well as the easy data transmission to and from Braze.
What do you dislike about the product?
That you're not able to use all data that is stored in the backend. In the Braze currents, I see data points that are not accessible in Braze's frontend and harmonizing those would be amazing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have realized that they do a great job in email deliverability. We have such a high sending rate now compared to before, and with custom reports, it's easy to compare the performance of your campaigns.

What do you like best about the product?
The interface is user friendly, and there are a lot of resources available for people to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Features are slower to roll out especially when it is launched for others.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing users the right engagement and communication at the right time to keep them engaged with the product.
Wonderful product & amazing support team
What do you like best about the product?
I love the extensive functionality Braze offers for mobile and web users. The ability to in-app, in-browser message has been such a game changer for us for communicating to our end users.
What do you dislike about the product?
I personally would love to be able to make lists (similar to how Hubspot has it) in Braze the equivalent is segments which have been a little frustrating when it comes to reporting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The benefit started with our Apps. We were able to set up the app with Braze to completely run/nurture on its own. From onboarding emails, empty cart notifications, subscriptions reminders it was all set up to be triggered and send on its own. For our web-based products, we replaced a lot of email with in-app messaging. We knew the users were in the product and were able to get our message front and center.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I have Ease of set up as a 4 because in order for Braze to work at its fullest potential you need to set it up properly. THANKFULLY they have an amazing support team and Account reps that will walk you through everything
Great for push alerts
What do you like best about the product?
I like the image library, the reporting functionality, and that you can schedule push alerts to go out in advance, helping with forward planning and seasonal events.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like having to schedule separately for iOS and Android platforms, I wish it was just one push for all device types.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We get a lot of user data from Braze compared to our previous system. The testing functionality is also really comprehensive, and it is easy to make edits after seeing the push on screen.

What do you like best about the product?
How quickly I am able to create campaigns and keep track of viewers interested in the campaigns. I can also add videos and gifs easily.

I haven't found much if anything to dislike,

Learning to use the braze tools have been very beneficial. This tool has helped me improve my marketing ideas.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Braze is an effective tool to reach all of the consumers possible. I find it easy to use and that is extremely important in my industry.

The integration of all channels that allow to work more efficiently on a daily basis.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features in terms of personalization are missing, for example personalizing the sender name or the reply-to based on variables

Using Braze allows us to increase our open rates thanks to the intelligent timing feature.
Great app focused CRM system
What do you like best about the product?
- Canvases are a great workflow tool enabling you to map out complex and multi-channel campaigns to drive customers to a certain goal
- The integration with an app, allowing for strong visual led prompts and CTAs
- Email templates can be built using the in-platform drag-and-drop editor or uploaded as an HTML file
- Fairly simple and straightforward campaign tool used to send one off campaigns
- Easy process to create internal seed and testing groups
- Sandbox testing environment for trying things out without affecting the live version of Braze
- Very informative and interactive learning courses within the platform allowing you to get to grips with the different aspects of the platform
- Tagging system is helpful to highlight and separate different campaigns, templates and canvases i.e operational/marketing comms
- Account managers are very knowledgeable and always trying to push your thought process out the box to create more meaningful and impactful campaigns

- Canvas steps going all over the place if you try to add additional steps partway through a workflow
- No duplicate filter option when creating segments/targeting for campaigns and canvases

- Allowing the team to create highly targeted, personalised customer journeys
- The amount of data available means we can drill down and create niche campaigns

If you need a CRM system that ties in well with a mobile app then Braze is certainly worth considering
Great CRM tool, great service
What do you like best about the product?
How user-friendly it is. Even if you don't have a technical background, you can engage with your users through different channels. Braze keeps improving the product, adding more and more capabilities. It has excellent Customer Service ready to jump and help.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting and analytics could be better. It has improved by adding the retention reports and canvas analysis, but if you need to pull out data, it can get a bit messy, and it's because they will try and get you to complement your subscription with Amplitude / Looker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CRM management for our Products (3), increasing LTV and user retention. Onboarding purposes and ad-hoc campaigns (newsletters, service messages, promotions and marketing campaigns). Emails / In-Apps / Push Notifications.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great tool that I would definitely recommend for any type and size of the company. It keeps improving and adding more features, it's easy to use for Marketing Managers, and all are well-documented for integration, training, tech support. Customer Service is quick to respond, and if you have a Customer Success Manager, they will go up and beyond to help you increase business.
The best tool and team for the job!
What do you like best about the product?
As someone who is new to the industry, I found the customer support to be excellent, as well as the breadth of supporting documents. It helped make the transition to this world of CRM extremely smooth. The diversity of tools available to engage with your audience is also amazing as it allows the team to communicate using multichannel messaging strategies which is vital in my industry.
What do you dislike about the product?
As someone with little experience, I find many integrations and add-ons require a lot of technical knowledge to execute which make it difficult for the team to sometimes make full use of Braze's capabilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Customer engagement and retention. Able to activate and communicate with our existing database through multichannel messaging and increase monthly and daily active usership.
