How to get old technology in to the future...
What do you like best about the product?
All tools can be installed in all enviroments. If it's z/OS, AIX, linux, windows,... there is a solution for every platform. Without these tools from Stonebranch we would not be able to connect all these diferent worlds.
In comparision with other workload automation companies, Stonebranch is a payable good alternative. they listen to our requirements and are flexible and solution oriented.
I hope we can help to improve the software and learn from each other during our migration project of our workload automation enviroment.
I like the familiar and uncomplicated contact with the team. Support acts quickly and knows his stuff.

What do you dislike about the product?
Universal Controller; The GUI of the universal controller is really outdated. The Design should be modern. On the first look it seems like an outdated product - which technicaly it is not. The overall arrangement of all options could be more intuitive and more user-friendly.
Some things like a connection to git hub and for example regional holidays for calanders should be build in the software and autmaticly be updated. Overall it should be more implemented out of the box (eg. templates).
The Documentation of the installation of an OMS-Server is too little. There is no best-practice documentation.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the Tool UDM we have been able to manage all our Filetranfer from and between our mainframe and the distributed world. Also we use this tool and UCMD to automate a lot of distributed servers scheduled via our central scheduling software IWS.
With UDM-Gateway we give our costumers the posibility exchange files via HTTPS and SFTP.
At the moment we are implementing the Workload Automation Enviroment. Our Goal is to migrate another distributed Scheduler Software from our subsidiary and later on replace our current scheduling software IWS.

Fantastic company that treats you as part of the family. Great products make it even better.

What do you dislike about the product?
Stonebranch is in a difficult market sector and has to fight hard to displace weaker embedded solutions in use at most companies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Stonebranch technologies aren’t easy to implement and our customers are very happy.
Solid IT Orchestration
What do you like best about the product?
Works with many different types of systems, from Windows to AiX and everything in between. You are only limited by your imagination.
What do you dislike about the product?
The flexibility hurts the usability to a degree. You need development knowledge to get the most out of the system. Licensing model isn't great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We primarily use it for sending/receiving files, and orchestrating the process to create/process those files
