Versatile Templates and Branding, But Increasing Complexity
What do you like best about the product?
Canva is incredibly versatile, and over the past few years I have used it extensively. I have purchased course templates that I could easily adapt using my brand colours. This is also a feature I love: I can save my brand colour codes and easily use them for templates and images.
What do you dislike about the product?
Canva added so many features, that it is getting too complex. User-friendliness has suffered tremendously, and I have decided not to renew my subscription, once my current subscription expires. The AI features are not exactly what I expect, images are sometimes really weird. Some AI features incur additional cost, which is not really what I expect, when I have a paid subscription.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I could easily adapt white-label course material. It is extremely versatile for many purposes. Occasionally, I used it to create images for social media posts, but I found other tools, such as Stencil, more user-friendly and faster. Recently, I have primarily been using Flux LoRA images, so I haven’t used Canva as much.

I don't like that some stickers are paid and there's an image trial feature. I think the access should be totally free.

Intuitive Design Platform with Room for Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I find Canva to be a user-friendly online design tool with drag-and-drop features, making it perfect for non-designers like me to create professional graphics. It simplifies visual content creation for businesses, marketers, and individuals by offering brand consistency and collaboration. I like the video editing, presentation, and logo-making capabilities, which effectively reduce time spent on tasks. Additionally, Canva integrates seamlessly with other tools through its extensive App Marketplace, connecting with productivity apps like Slack, Asana, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Teams. The initial setup is very easy, designed with beginners in mind, allowing users to start without any prior design experience.

I find complex server-side tasks challenging on Canva. It lacks advanced graphic design control, like perfect alignment and layering. Handling massive course structures easily is tough, and ensuring perfect data privacy is hard.

Efficient, User-Friendly, and Reliable Design Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I usually use Canva for family posters and sometimes for setting and aligning elements on an A4 paper for a print-ready file. I love the auto-save cloud-based feature; it solves a big problem for me by keeping my file intact despite sudden electricity cuts. The simple pick and place (drag and drop) design system makes creating designs fast and intuitive, even for my personal and college work. I also value Canva's large template library, which helps me start projects quickly. The built-in fonts, icons, and stock images reduce the need for external resources. The initial setup of Canva was very easy and quick, allowing me to start designing immediately without any complex installation or configuration. Overall, I highly recommend Canva because it is easy to use, efficient, and reliable, with features that significantly improve the design workflow.
