Canva Works Great!
What do you like best about the product?
Canva is very user friendly. It makes the whole experience of creating something fun and something you want to do.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not being able to start with a blank template and begin from scratch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canva has assisted in creating social media updates and email updates that we use for our company. It has made the process of creating an update to send out so simple while still looking sophisticated.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Much easier to use than photoshop, or any other website!
Great for Flyers
What do you like best about the product?
More variety than creating flyers in word. More visuals and colors
What do you dislike about the product?
Not enough room for text and the text boxes are too small. I feel like sometimes I have to condense my phrases more than normal for it to fit into the Canva flyers. I wish I could freely type in the flyer without being limited by text boxes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Advertising our program to prospective volunteers and student workers. I realized I can do a lot more in Canva
Fantastic community software
What do you like best about the product?
Anyone can use Canva- whether you have a creative bone or not. User friendly, tons of great templates to use. Great PDFs. nice and reliable and you honestly WANT to pay for the smaller items because of the value you get from the complimentary resources.
What do you dislike about the product?
Uploading photos could be stored better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lack of templated when needing a project in a jif.
Canva is the most helpful creation tool I use
What do you like best about the product?
Canva is easy to use and I find it does some tasks easier than the bigger photo editing programs. Do not think this is a difficult program to learn, it's not like Photoshop or GIMP. It's very drag and drop friendly and allows for intuitive editing. There's no selecting different tools to do different jobs or selecting a special area to edit in. There's enough free pictures and graphics to keep you happy for a long time too. The paid version only allows for canvas resizing, downloading items with transparent backgrounds and adds a lot of graphics but the actual editing isn't really much different.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that you can't download with transparency but I understand you do need to leave some features for the paid version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used Canva to create knockout job resumes, brochures, flyers, Facebook and Instagram posts. The free features are more than enough to get a pro advertisement created quickly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You have nothing to lose so try Canva. The free version has plenty of features to get the job done.
Game changing tool for marketing
What do you like best about the product?
Canva has allowed us to create professional-grade visuals for use in everything ranging from Facebook posts to website content, to newsletters. I have used it both professional and for private use and have been extremely pleased with its ease of use, the range of high-quality elements and low cost.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally I will run into issues with layers and being able to specify which layer I want to edit. This can be prevented with preemptive steps to layer things as your edit them, versus arranging the layers after they've all been added. The resizing feature offered through the paid version is also not ideal. It will resize the canvas, but as far as resizing your elements to fit the new canvas size, you'll still need to go in and do quite a bit of editing yourself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've used Canva for multiple companies now. When I worked for public libraries, it allowed us to ramp up our marketing without unnecessary cost to the taxpayer, and for my current job, it's redefining our online look and social presence by allowing to create professional and clean looking ads and posts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't be afraid to play with the product, make use of the templates and refer to visual marketing tools that appeal to you for inspiration. Give the paid product a try - it's well worth your money, and make sure you're creating on the correctly sized canvas from the very beginning to save yourself unnecessary frustration.
I love Canva!!!
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Canva stays cheap/free for users that just don't have the budget for content creation like so. This product is perfect for anything from school projects, presentations, creating or designing invitations or flyers - the limits are endless!
What do you dislike about the product?
I do dislike how it practically begs you to purchase it. There are several "buy now" or "upgrade now" boxes. I also am not a big fan on the purchasable content. It shows as available (given your subscription status or lack thereof) while you are creating something. You will click the item only to see huge watermark - I would suggest that only show free content if that is what the users have available to them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I create quick and easy flyers, invitations, social media posts, birthday cards, and announcements several times a week! Plain black text and white background is so outdated, Canva brings style, flavor, and color to your visuals. Turning just text into art.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I always recommend Canva to my friends, family and co-workers simply because it is mostly free, super easy, and isn't cheesy! No more cartoon-y marketing, no more lazy birthday invitations.
Canva changed my life.
What do you like best about the product?
I'm a former professional photographer and content creator. I know the Adobe suite pretty darn well. So, when Canva initially came out, I wasn't expecting much. However, before I knew it, more and more of my basic designs (for myself and my team) were being created through Canva. It was fast easy and super intuitive, even for those without graphic background. I was sold.
What do you dislike about the product?
Page limitations for longer pdf files, inability to update 1.0 creations to 2.0 (especially in terms of animations, some of the files i made while the feature was experimental in 1.0 won't work anymore, so I have to recreate the entire thing instead up updating. Very frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy and fast graphic creation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't hesitate, especially if you work with non-designers who need great graphics.
Great interface, and most features are intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to design any number of creative media graphics with relatively little knowledge of graphic design.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is really not much I dislike about this program.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am functionally inept at social media posts/old-school flyers but this program has made it much easier for me to create promotional materials
Best friend of someone who does not want to use Illustrator
What do you like best about the product?
Hundreds of free templates according to specific size. Uncountable amount of text styles, symbols and designs. Even a kid can use it, it's so user friendly. I love their selection of font styles. There is something for everyone. It can be an amazing tool for someone who is designing a logo or poster for the first time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing seems a bit high to me. File resolution is not up to the mark. Scaling of different graphics may be tricky and time consuming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used it to create emergency facebook posts for my previous company when my designer was on leave. I am using it currently to create posters for my research project. I have used it to create social media posts for my friend's online business.
Excellent Product, pricey for teachers
What do you like best about the product?
I love the flexibility and templates! Canva makes it easy to push information out via social media posts that look great!
What do you dislike about the product?
I use the product professionally but purchase it myself. As a teacher, the monthly fee can add up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used this to design interactive games for my students and social media posts for a parent page
