Egnyte is a versatile, powerful cloud file solution
What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte has a great web UI, and it also offers tools to allow syncing of files to NAS devices. It also integrates with Windows as a mapped drive through its Connect app.
What do you dislike about the product?
The syncing app only supports one stream at a time. If you're doing a big project like data migration, you can request multiple streams, but Egnyte won't allow that feature for everyday use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Egnyte allows our clients who work outside the office in the field to access and update files no matter where they are.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider it as a more versatile and robust solution than Dropbox. Its ability to integrate with various hardware platforms makes it a worthwhile service to implement.

What do you like best about the product?
My industry involves collaboration and Egnyte allows us to securely share documents, which enables our internal and external communications.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, the worst thing about Egnyte is when teammates do not use it. But the one area it could improve is its web-based platform. It is functional but doesn't compete well with Microsoft teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Secured internal and external communication and the storage of documents in a secured location for our team and collaborators.

Get your entire team onboard to use Egnyte. Try to avoid people using different services like Microsoft Teams. It undermines the utility of each service

No drag-and-drop functionality to move files within the UI.

Sharing and accessing files from anywhere using a tablet comouter or smartphone.

Egnyte meets the needs of many business brands around the world because of its fast, secure and reliable file sharing functionalities. It ensures complete corporate data security when transfered in the cloud.
Great cloud solution. I've used egnyte desktop app for both Mac and PC and it works seamlessly.
What do you like best about the product?
Desktop app is great and online interface is quite nice. Since you access file directly you never have replication issues. Also ease of sharing documents and setting permissions is much better than for some simliar cloud products I've used.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't say I really have any complaints, I believe Egynte is perhaps the best cloud solution on the market. I have not tested offline feature to see how this works. I'm also not sure about integration with native search on local file systems such as onedrive or icloud
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Works great for a flexible organization where we have people from all over the world sharing files, works seamlessly across PC and Mac platforms. We also use it frequently to share files, images, etc. both with our internal teams and external clients.

Great cloud solution which works seamlessly across Mac/ PC platforms, I highly encourage you install Egnyte desktop app (for both Mac/ PC)

This is a great platform that, in our case, acts as a mapped drive and allows for easy collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a small bug with multiple users when the same file is opened sometimes. Generally, though we have not found it to be too difficult to overcome
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our business requires collaboration and especially with covid. This platform has allowed us to grow and continue conducting business remotely and without the need for on-site servers.
Critical for Remote Office Work
What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte has continued to streamline their integration with MacOS and Microsoft 365. The co-editing ability available directly from our file server, without the need to duplicate documents in SharePoint, has improved our workflows and made it possible to easily collaborate on Microsoft documents.
The native search feature in MacOS Finder now also searches Egnyte file folders, which makes in a lot easier to find documents without the need to open Egnyte's web application.

What do you dislike about the product?
This is a minor issue that has a big impact, but I am finding that users are not paying attention to the alert from Egnyte that their files have not uploaded due to unsupported characters, or most commonly trailing spaces. If there was a way to have a more immediate pop up error when a user tries to save an unsupported file name in Finder, that would be a good improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Egnyte solves the issue of connecting multiple offices to the same file server, which in turn, made it seamless to allow everyone to work from home without any interuption in access to server files.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This has been the best server managment decision we made. It took the responsibility of maintaining a server off the IT group, with no disruption to how the end user expects to use the server.

What do you like best about the product?
Live time up to date database. It allows us to connect to each other and keep doing our job on time without delays. A cruicial software for the business who are looking for a better connection and communication.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only bad thing is that the software sometimes is making a conflict copy which can cause to a problem if not observed on time.

Communication between the stations. Saving notes, incident informations, reports etc.

What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte is like having the archaic file cabinet floating above your head at all times. The ease of access of all my files within moments is unparalleled in this dynamic environment. There is nothing more frustrating than being unable to access a file when needed. I have yet to experience a single issue with Egnyte and have loved this cloud service since first using it 3 years ago!

As mentioned previously, Egnyte functions as needed at all times. What can you say about something that works!?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Egnyte brings all of my working documents into a space where access from anywhere is as seamless as having the files in front of you.
